    For the cap frame maximum sewing field 2.16" H( PRCF2 only 2" H) design stitch out too high can not close to the brim. This is the way to make your machine "think" you are using 7" x 5" (180 mm x 130 mm) or bigger frame to get a bigger sewing field (Same idea as using fast frame). Before you try it, make sure you know this way maybe will damage your machine. Every time you hit any part of your machine remember to remove the cap driver and restart the machine (shutdown power then turn on again). The machine will automatically back to the regular center.

    Hi Tony, is the frame hooks necessary. Is that just for tighter hold. Thank you

    Can this technique be used with the new flat brim frame for the sole purpose of getting the design to get closer to the brim? I have the PR1000E.

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  3 года назад

      PRCF5 cap frame already very close to the brim. Yes, you still can use this way to get sewing field larger. But it’s not necessary for the PRCF5 cap frame set to get closer to the brim.

    I have a Babylock 6 needle and it’s not recognizing the cap frame. At first it was but with an issue. It was hitting the screws on the bottom when I needed to see the embroidery area. Then went online to try calibrating and after that my machine won’t recognize the cap frame anymore. What can I do now?

      1. You need a training class, the way you are doing make me feel that you don't have enough skills to using this way to making hats. Try the basic way to practice until you have enough cap making experiences and knowing the edge of the cap frame drive first.
      2. The cap frame set doesn't touching the hoop sensor. Depends on what cap frame set you have. It's reading the magnetic sensor to regognize what cap frame set on it to let you using the limited sewing field. The cap frame set doesn't need to calibrate the Hoop Sensor!!!
      3. Even you using the correct way calibrated the hoop sensor. It doesn't effect the cap frame set. Unless you done something wrong. Better find a technician to help you. Don't let a little problem getting worse.

    Hi Tony can you do it with the smaller cap drive I have the Enterprise Multi baby lock and I only see a smaller Drive. Need help :)

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  3 года назад

      Yes, the PRCF2 and the PRCF3 can use the same way to get a bigger sewing field. But the design width will be limited by cap frame drive(will get stuck).

      Yes, PRS100 (VR, VR100) can use this hack.

    another question, can I convert my PRCF3 into a wide frame by removing just the magnet sensor or do I need to purchase the PRPCF1 in order to make it work on the PRS-100 Persona? Thanks again for this video!

      PRCF3 width is limited by the cap driver, can’t over 6” wide.

      @@roaminrabbitt If you are talking about using the wide cap frame on the PRCF3 cap driver, the answer is no. The both cap drivers don’t fit each other’s cap hoops.

      PR600 machine needs to upgrade the cylinder connection. Here is photo album link. facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.507046936063431&type=3

      @TdpsCa  3 года назад

      @@jaysonoliva4556 Before you really understand how to use cap frame. Don't buy anything. You will get more confused about the cap frame sets. Looks like you don't even know how find out the design position. This video isn't good for your to learn the basic operation.

      Tony Embroidery Machines Service Center yes because my machine doesnt have laser guide like the one on the video you uploaded.

      @TdpsCa  3 года назад +1

      @@jaysonoliva4556 The PR600, PR600II, PR620 and PR650 machines don't have LED center light. But most of owners don't have problem to find the design center. PR600 can press down the needle press foot to see the needle position. Another way is going to sewing page and press the cut(trim) thread button, machine will stitch 3 stitches and punch a little pin hole. Back to EDIT page and use the pin hole to move design to center. If you still don't know how this works, better wait until you realized how the machine works then use this technique.

    Did you sell the cylinder connection

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  3 месяца назад

      If you can’t find the newer cylinder connection. You can go to home hardware store to buy the stainless steel flat washers. Add the washers between the cap driver lower screws and original cylinder connection. This way also works.

    I have a pr600 and a prcf2 driver will this work?

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  2 года назад

      Yes, if you totally understand how this hack works. Once the hoop sensor be pressed down, the sewing field will be larger. Just be careful don’t hit the left or right edges of the cap driver.

    Do I also need cylinder holders for PRS100

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  Год назад +1

      The PRS100 doesn’t need to replace the cylinder holders. It’s already has the newer cylinder holders. Only the old models PR600 and PR600II machines need the newer cylinder holders to be able to used the newer cap frame sets (PRCF3 PRCF5). If the PR600and PR600II machines using the PRCF1and PRCF2 cap frame sets. They don’t need the newer cylinder holders.

    • @wizevideo

      For PRS 100 machine, all I need to do is remove magnet before installing PRPCF1. And test to make sure it’s in the safe embroider zone.

    Ive been told my sensor is bad for my cap frame. Do I need to take this bug machine to a dealer, Or is there a fix for it from home?

    • @TdpsCa
      @TdpsCa  Год назад

      If the hoop sensor isn't working. It will not just bad for cap frame. All cap frame sets (the cap frame driver) will not touched the hoop sensor lever. The cap frame sets (PRCF3, PRPCF1 and PRCF5) are detect by the magnet sensor on the cap frame driver not the machine hoop sensor lever. And if the frame holder arm been removed from the machine (hoop sensor lever without been pressed by the frame holder), the machine will automatic detects as the PRCF1 or PRCF2 cap frame on the machine. Are you sure the person who told you that your hoop sensor is bad for your cap frame is an technician or machine expert?
