    Ruud is lacking conviction and self belief in GS finals that he has all the shots to win the title, esp here at RG where he is 2x finalist. You can even tell from his own words that he is out there in the later stages of the slams to cause trouble and give some problems to other guys to not beat him in straight sets rather than playing to WIN the title.
    What he needs to do is focus on his game and not think about who he is playing against on the other side. Just gotta tell himself that Novak is beatable and he's done that, but GS matches are best of 5 so its a completely different animal. If he is to beat Nole, he needs to tap into his reserves if it goes to 5 sets. That's where Novak outplays all these younger guys bcoz they can't get it done in the final stretch. The nerves always get the better of these guys. Musetti and Cerundalo are perfect example. If i were Casper, I would use last year's disappointment in the final as a fuel to revenge Djoko. Time to kick some serious *ss and stop being the nice guy on the court if he going to be a GS champion!

    • @starscreamdias
      @starscreamdias 8 месяцев назад +1

      I think he'll get it done this time. As nice as he is, he has been showing a lot more fire this year. Even when he misses he get mad and shouts at his box. Shows a lot more emotion . His desire to win has definately grown. He needs to play down the line alot (both backhand and forehand). That's the secret to beating Novak. Novak tested both Musetti and Cerundolo the same way and they both failed as they couldn't trust themselves to play those shots. Lets see.

    Based from all circumstances what happened these days i as bigg Novak fan can say Casper is favorite! But i and every of real Tennis lovers cannot forgot never ever who is Novak Djokovic! The Man who only can crushed Nadal even in French Open where Nadal was real monster! It only tolds how really good Djokovic can be on a given day on clay too even in his bad shape as he is at the moment! So ,once again , Ruud looks favorite , i'm really honest, But if Nole bring enough good game he can win too. Not be a miracle, isn't it ?
    Hats of to Ruud, really nice guy , smart excellent clay court player ! Respect from Serbia!
    I hope that Novak can play and best luck to both of them, let's win better on a day! :) Enjoy in Tennis tennis folks!

      His shape is not bad, he said it himself. Not ideal shape isn't bad shape. Also given how calm he looked whenever he wasn't playing the opponent shows how much drama he was doing on court. I really thought he had 5 tears on his legs and lung failure againts Musetti.

      @@starscreamdias he said exactly that he already had pain in knee in a last time but today in one sliding knee started to pain him much more!!
      He got painkilles medics but pain still was there! Than he asked them once again in maximum dose and pain slowly gone!
      But it means today he can have eventually much bigger pain after painkillers stop to "work". :( ((
      If it happens he will not play quaterfinals!
      So what he cheated!? Ppl don't be so blind and hateful, guy is always emotional and honest. Don't be so hateful and unrespectful sick jelous to him and blind. Calm down pls, be fair and see reallity as she really is.

      How do you know anything about his mental strength? He doesnt have a problem at all, its just people who never give h8m any respect or credit that fabricate things about him… being humble and a great guy isnt the same as lacking mental strength or being boring.

  • @davidhunternyc1

    Ruud is wrong. Borg is certainly the second greatest clay court player of all time. McEnroe would go ballistic if he heard Rudd say this. No matter, I'm looking forward to this battle between Rudd and Djokovic. Our worry is that Djokovic's knee will take him out. No matter your conditioning, a 37 year old knee is what it is. Whoever wins, let's have a healthy fight.

      No, he is not😂😂😂😂damn, do you understand that he played in much weaker era than right now???? I mean, he won 6 Roland Garros titles and he literally hadn't competition on clay, he was absolutely the best player in his er aon clay. Do you understand that Djokovic played his entire career against Nadal on clay, do you understand that probably there isn't more dominant athlete in a history of sports than Nadal on clay? Do you understand that before his last lost against Zverev few days ago, NADAL IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER ONLY LOST 3 MATCHES AT ROLAND GARROS and won 14 titles actually??? Do you know how many times did Djokovic beat him??? 2 times and not to mention than he beat Nadal multiple times on other clay courts too. Soo Djokovic played 90% of his career against Nadal at Roland Garros and somehow Djokovic has won 3 Roland Garros titles. Do you know what it means to win 3 Roland Garros titles in same era as Nadal?? If Nadal didn't exist, Djokovic would probably has as many Roland Garros titles as he has Wimbledon titles. And if he wins somehow his 4th Roland Garros title this year, there is literally no debate that he is 2nd greatest clay court player ever. For me it's not debate even right now, but if he wins it again it would be just way bigger gab... Bjorn wouldn't win more than 1 Roland Garros title in Nadal's era...

    • @davidhunternyc1
      @davidhunternyc1 8 месяцев назад +3

      @@hristijandimitrovski8664 Everyone thinks that their era is the toughest. There were brilliant players in the Borg/Connors era, and the talent ran deep. Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl both won 3 French Open titles. Borg was the Nadal of his era, winning four consecutive French Open titles (1978-81) and is 6-0 in French Open finals... Karate chop that!!!

    • @paoloantunes1283
      @paoloantunes1283 8 месяцев назад +2

      Nadal is the best clay player ever because he plays consistently at the very highest level on clay.
      Djokovic didn’t play always his best on clay, but when he’s able to peak on clay he can match the best of Rafa Nadal. The 2021 match up was fantastic and is an example of that.

    • @hristijandimitrovski8664
      @hristijandimitrovski8664 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@davidhunternyc1 and if Nadal didn't existed Djokovic would be Nadal of his era🤣🤣🤣and he would has probably 7-8 Roland Garros titles... Just how many times he lost in finals, semi-finals against Nadal... He even faced Nadal in 1/4 final wheb tjey faced each other one last time and Djokovic would win that match against everyone not mentioning Nadal... Only Nadal could beat Djokovic that night. Not to mention his tough lost against Badal in 2013 in 5 sets... Djokovic simply played against God of clay and he could still beat Nadal few more times... But if Nadal didn't existed, come on man... He would already have more than 27 grand slams...

    • @In_my_own_mind
      @In_my_own_mind 8 месяцев назад

      Why should they? They have to have a belief in themself to beat any player. They were too young to play against the big 3 at their peek, but some people speak like He is at the end of his career. I think some of the other tennis players are a bit fed up by always having to answer questions about them and what they have dome before. They are always asked to praise them.
      I am also quite tired of people constantly talking about how weak the era of tennis is now comapred to how it was when the big 4 were at their best, but no one even think there was perhaps a reason why it was the big 4 that won the most. Maybe the general level among the other players then was lower and that there are more players at a higher level who can win and not only the same 3-4 names who win each tournament as it was when Federer, Nadal, Djoko and partly Murray were at their peak.
