It's hard not to absolutely love this Phillies team. As a lifelong Cardinals fan, I knew once the bracket was set that we were in trouble. Philly just has ... it (whatever it is) this year. Scrap. Tenacity. The perfect blend of characters. Just a solid team with a tremendous fan base. I really hope PHI takes it all this year. They are epitomizing what October baseball is all about.

I was never a Harper fan, but it took guts to go to a tough place like Philly as a high priced free agent. And he's been fantastic for them. Good for him and good for the Phillies.
The bucks are whatever, it's a little over $25m a year which wasn't even the biggest annual value of his free agent class. I was happy when I heard no-trade & no-move all 13 years.

It pains me to write this but I am happy for Bryce Harper and the long, long suffering phillies fandom. Phillies fans don't usually have much to cheer about so I hope they enjoy this one, rare moment of happiness while it lasts.
