I have been to a WS game in each of the last 3 WS that the Astros have appeared in. I am very lucky and very grateful to have this privilege. The first game we went too against the Nats in 2019 the Astros got absolutely dominated, easily their worst game of the series (and playoffs!). The second game we went too against the Braves the Astros won, which was awesome, but unfortunately they lost the series to a very good Braves team. And this year I had the potentially once in a lifetime privilege of watching the Astros win the World Series at home, such an awesome memory I can cherish forever. And this homerun by Yordan was so big, the Astros had not really done anything offensively up to that point and you could tell that was the case just by listening to the crowd. We were dying to have something to cheer about and boy did we get that. After that and the Vazquez RBI single to go up 4-1 you could just feel the energy in the air. I knew right then and there with our bullpen that we were going to win that game, close out the series, and prove all the haters wrong. If anyone reading this ever has any doubts about buying tickets for whatever reason - I say go for it. Playoff games are such an awesome experience and we have been lucky recently here in Houston to be able to have a ton of them, but they won't last forever. Take advantage while you can! The irony of how Yordan started the postseason with a 3 run homer and practically ended it with another 3 run homer.
That’s beautiful bookends.
He Brought it home to the Promise Land! I'm forever grateful Alvarez 🙏
I saw this live and it's a moment I don't think I'll ever forget!!
When he hit that, all I said was "OH!" What a shot!
This was so beautiful, it’s the moment every Astros fan knew we won
So True!!!
With how the Astros relievers were playing that postseason, you just knew it was over at that point
Its December 28th and I'm still watching this epic run through the playoffs! Merry Christmas to H-Town!
The longest dinger I ever saw was one by Willie Stargell. This was Stargellesque. What a mammoth shot!
the beauty of this homer is that he didnt go back to the dugout to review in the ipad of their history. dude faced him already and knew what he was looking for. "this game has been turned upside down" will forever live in my memories.
I have watched this at least once a day since they won the world series. Its now January 2023. Only 73 days till opening day.
Pena, Tucker and Yordon are the face of the Astros future. Great to have Altuve, Bregman and Yuly to play with them for the next few years. No big transition with the Astros because they use their Farm system.
Alvarez is outstanding. He is a great slugger.
I'll remember this homer forever
still not able to process this. it’s one of the greatest moments in houston, possibly mlb history. what a bomb.
I didn’t forget! Never forget!! This game is turned upside down!!!!!!! Go Stros!!!
This call gives me chills and I’m an Atlanta fan
Dusty Baker⚾ is a great coach and with his cunning and strategic moves he obviously led the team and players to victory for the Astros.
Congratulations to those who have been able to better read the important situations on the crazy diamond.
The defense in him and the players was wonderful !!!
My warmest and most sincere congratulations to Dusty Baker and the Houston Astros.

You don't really coach at this level, you just manage what you have.
Let's go Astros! Air Yordan had to show MLB what a real Green Monster looks like at 450 ft.
As a Mariners fan, I have nothing but pure respect for Yordan. He's adjusted in the Postseason very well. Nothing else to do but tip your cap. 🧢
Alverez may have won the WS for HOU. He's had a unbelievable season and this could be his biggest HR of his career 💪.
This was that Harper moment for him this time.... Would have been a fun thing to have a special call for that but its fine.
