The Bye Bye man scared the shit out of me. The horrible acting, the shitty CGI, and terrible plot was all just so terrifying. Like, how could anybody think that was good enough to release? It makes me scared for the future of horror movies. But in all seriousness, the movie "The Silenced" was absolutely amazing in my opinion. It was just really different from a lot of the other horror movies I've seen but it was still thrilling nonetheless.

Did you seriously leave off 'Psycho'! There are plenty of other classics that were ignored here, but I cannot excuse not even a mention of the original slasher
Hannah Mandryk like Kathy Bates in that one horror movie when she keeps her favorite writer trapped in her house to finish his novel she is totally obsessed with. I forget the name
Mark C yes. She is going to tie someone up to a bed and hit their foot with a sledgehammer against a wooden block she placed between their legs to steady them for the hit.
A lot these movies suck. You’re next and Goodnight mommy I love. But this list does not have the original Halloween. It wasn’t for Halloween we wouldn’t have Jason, Freddy, or many other of the slashers we love. Halloween pretty much started the slasher genre
unless i'm mistaken, horror films are supposed to be scary, evil dead is 90% comedy. i'd take Scream off this list for the same reason but at least that's 50/50 horror/comedy.
yall are confusing me but in my opinion - original evil dead was horseshit. horrible movie. newer evil dead (2013 one, if there's any other remakes I haven't seen them)- way better. still not a strong story or anything in my opinion. also acting was iffy here and there. the gore was done super well though in my opinion and was visually creepy af in some scenes. would overall recommend the newer one if you're into gore.
Its amazing to think how the 70's and 80's didnt have the same capabilities in production as todays movies; but in the same breath, still managed to put out some of the best horror to ever hit the silver screen.
I agree with Psycho. The Silence of The Lambs was a poor adaptation, which would have been much better if the dialogue had not been drowned out by the overbearing music, and if the narrative had stuck to the genius plot of the novel - although, I must admit, the escape scene in the movie was terrifying perfection.
@@DAVEFLOYDFAN I respect your opinion but disagree highly. Silence of the lambs is one of the best movies ever. Especially because of the acting of Anthony Hopkins and Jodie foster. I disliked julianne Moore as clarice but she did a great job. I just dont like it when they replace very interesting characters with other actors or actresses. But still Anthony Hopkins is amazing in all those movies
When you put 'Of All Time' in the title, you'd expect to see at least some films from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and/or 60s. Nosferatu? King Kong? The Bride of Frankenstein? Psycho? Granted they might not be considered scary or shocking by today's standards, but they still fall into the horror category.
Mariam Sarkawi i love both the films but didn’t make sense that the whole world would b infected virus wasn’t airborne it spread by bites or in the case of cabbie when he got blood in his eye could understand infection being spread across England cos it was practically instantaneous so how could it spread across the world its impossible other than that great films plus unlike every zombie film it shows u how they got infected in the first place still waiting for twd to explain how the zombie virus started who was patient zero
Child's Play Sinister Halloween Friday the 13th A Nightmare on Elm Street Carrie Hellraiser Evil Dead (Original) Maniac (1981) The Omen The Silence of the Lambs Wishmaster Poltergeist Thir13en Ghosts The Stepfather (1987) How can you not have any of them on the list? You are insane.
Dude it's the one that started off the series which is why it is held in such high regards and personally I would say the 3rd was the best but still the original is just golden for so many other reasons other than how scary it was or realistic or well the plot but without it the Friday the thirteenth movies wouldn't have kicked off the way they did.
Literally every other fucking comment is asking why the movies they personally find scary aren't on here. Yeah, i agree this list is missing a few great classics. Even if they included them in this top 20 you guys would bitch about how they excluded newer horror films, or find something else to moan about. This list was actually decent. Simmer down.
David Cole - Thank-you, mate; finally a calm, thoughtful comment on the aforementioned video! Every other person on this thread is getting so hysterical and belligerent over a bloody list of films!! As my Nana used to say, "opinions are like arseholes - everyone has one, But it doesn't mean I want you to share it with me..." Hehehe; good old Nana! 😏
Silence of the lamb, Rosemarin baby or Psycho, as examples, is not somebody opinion, and they not about "scariness" alone, but exactly about "plot, originality, characters". What why its all-time classics, you know ? And its looks like author of this list is try so hard to be original and, in your terms, "show his arsehole to everebody".
I'd say it's because the title says "the greatest horror movies", which these are objectively not. Plus I think horror fans are more passionate about their favourite genre (and movies) than any other movie genre fans, in my experience. Most of the movies in this list were cookie-cutter horror movies , were not in any way original, and are frankly quite boring and not terrifying in any way. The characters are one-dimensional nitwits that try too hard to be identifiable with the audience members. One exception is the Return of the Living Dead because it has that 80s charm to it.
Señor MeinKrafter2020 Yeah you have a point! The title should not say “Greatest of all time” its mostly just opinions. Even if they were ranked on every single detail, people would still have different opinions on what ranks are more important etc.
Psycho, The Sixth Sense, A Quiet Place, Aliens, Halloween, The Silence of the Lambs...I know many people think of some of these as just psychological thrillers, but these should all be here IMO.
Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th are definitely overrated, but Halloween deserved a mention. How do you put Scream on this list and not mention Halloween?
No nightmare on elm street No Friday the 13th No Halloween No dead trilogy No Suspiria No cannibal holocaust (the first found footage film not blair witch) No demons No event horizon Seriously guys what kind of crapy list have you made to leave ^ Classics out poor form.
Troy Annells Cannible Holocaust is Famous for Its realistic gore and blood. Till this day, it's never considered a Classic nor is it better than Blair Witch. Even All Critics shut it down immediatly for its boring slow footage shoots. Blair Witch is considered a Classic by Many, but in truth it doesn't really hold up after the disaster of Book of Shadows. Blair Witch (2016) should have been its second entrance instead.
@Saint Butters, @BMA SH, @Duddelwuddel Looper's list is crap, and you people are stupid, if not are also rather fake horror buffs who need to get off your high horses to say the least. Troy Annells is right about everything he said as well as with each film he listed, however I personally disagree about The Blair Witch Project being boring, because even though it's quite slow-burning, it's far from being boring. The atmosphere is superbly eerie. Cannibal Holocaust & Event Horizon are total cult-classics and will always be a couple of my all-time favorites; not to mention according to many (and not just myself) are also two of the greatest horror films ever made, so stop hating.
@@itcouldbeworse5851 I have several that I won't watch. The post made me consider it, but I probably won't. It have a hard time getting things out of my head.
Never heard of some of those but I personally like Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser 2, The Fly (remake), Dawn of the Dead (the original), Identity, and I think Night of the Living Dead needs to be on any list because it set the stage for so many zombie movies to come.
justjcs soto the first Paranormal activity was done so well. And at that time, there was nothing out there like it except maybe Blair witch. It scared the crap out of many people. Body horror doesn't scare me, paranormal stuff does.
1- The Exorcist 2- Holocausto Cannibal 3- The texas Chainsaw Masacre 4- The Omen 5- Night of the leaving dead (1990 remake) 6- Evil Dead 7- Hellraiser 8- The hills have eyes (remake) 9- The Thing 10- Alien
Kendal Dieleman Paranormal Activity had a budget of $15,000 (yes $15k) and made $193 million. I’m only telling you because I just learned this and am still in shock.
My favourite horror movies in order * Nosferatu (1922) * Dracula (1931) * Psycho (1960) * Night of the Living Dead (1968) * The Exorcist (1973) * The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) * Jaws (1975) * Carrie (1976) * Suspiria (1977) * Eraserhead (1978) * Dawn of the Dead (1978) * Alien (1979) * The Shining (1980) * An American Werewolf in London (1981) * The Evil Dead (1981) * Evil Dead II (1987) * Silence of the Lambs (1991) * The Sixth Sense (1999) * American Psycho (2000) * 28 Days Later (2002) * A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) * Shaun of the Dead (2004) * [REC] (2007) * Let the Right One In (2008) * Train to Busan (2016) * The Lighthouse (2019)
@@nacho007 well American Psycho is a slasher film (like Halloween and Psycho) Alien is “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” in space, which Ridley Scott got the inspiration from. The Lighthouse is horror because the character slip into madness like the Shining.
for everybody who thinks this list sucks, (I don't agree with it either) just know that its just this guys opinion. You don't HAVE to agree. He just has a much different taste than most of us.
"this guy" no, Looper is a group of people.. mostly millennial's that haven't watched the movies themselves but can google well. just listen to the narrative that reads like word for word critic reviews. nothing personal about it, just let google and mimic reviews.. only reason i'm here is for the laughs.
Ava LaClair The good movies in this list: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Scream The Descent The Mist Paranormal Activity You're Next Goodnight Mommy and Get Out The rest are trash or i haven't watched them so stfu u piece of shit
The author of The Exorcist book, hates that the movie is thought of as a horror movie. he says it is a drama about the struggle between good and evil and about human courage.
In all fairness, the movie explores that, too. Yes, the film has scares but the struggle between faith and evil is heavily displayed through Father Karras throughout the film.
It really lost its fear factor in the end tho. Like the boogeyman guy up close didn't really do it for me, it was his intentions and way of picking families off that was terrifying. The climax was good, the drop off was terrible.
The first Nightmare on Elm Street scared the hell out of me. I was 12 when I saw it, but I still think it's one of the best horror films of all time. How can anyone take this list seriously when it's missing Halloween Nightmare on Elm Street Friday the 13th
Saw,Psycho,Halloween,The Exorcist. They did something brand new. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre too. Those are best horrors of all time. 1922 Nosferatu and 1931 Dracula one of oldest
Good call on the first Saw. I agree with Nosferatu, but the age of the film gets lost on even the most esteemed reviews and it is likely due to the lack of voice. We anticipate emotion from both voice and facial reactions rarely one or the other. Christopher Lee was the first terrifying Dracula that I saw so I would really go with 1958 Horror of Dracula, but Horror films do not have to be terrifying to be great as we oft forget.
@TruthMaster2020 That's the only Friday I like. Now that I've rewatched a lot of movies, my list would be: 1. Halloween 2. The Shining 3. A Nightmare On Elm Street 4. Psycho 5. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 6. Scream 7. Carrie 8. F13th Final Chapter 9. Alien 10. The Exorcist
TruthMaster2020 Haha now I'm replacing Scream with Misery, I had read the book but I just finished watching the movie and it's just amazing. I'll have to rewatch the F13th movies, but I think I didn't really like the 1st one.
Return of the living dead is actually genuinely scary, especially for a first time watch, there are comedy "elements" but its largely grotesque, tar man is a very original creation and stays in your mind for a long time, the intro to the film will always be one of my favs, its just done so brilliantly! ... don't however watch any of the follow on films, as they are utterly shit. scream? erm ... i pass on defending that lol
yung broomstick hella thicc Well, there’s a lot more to horror movies than only being scary, imo. I enjoyed the new It immensely even though I didn’t necessary think the horror scenes were that scary or the most working part of the film. In many occasion, there are now days way too many jump scares and not enough story or growing intension, or right type of atmosphere, with paper-thin characters. Thankfully the last ten years has given us the new generation of horror films which has shown that the ”future of horror” has a lot of potential.
It is, without a doubt one of the creepiest, disturbing, and difficult to watch horror films ever made. I highly recommend this excellent Roman Polanski thriller. Also recommend 1965's "Repulsion" also by Polanski.
My Top 20 Best Horror Films 1. Psycho 2.Jaws 3. The Thing 4. Halloween 5.Texas Chainsaw Massacre 6.The Shining 7. The Exorcist 8.Misery 9.Alien 10. Night of the Living Dead 11. Silence of the Lambs 12. A Nightmare on Elm Street 13. Audition 14. Don't Look Now 15. Audition 16. Rosemary's Baby 17. Carrie 18. Suspiria 19. The Babadook 20. The Conjuring
Wigless Bitch it’s the best and it completely changed the horror genre and if you don’t think it’s scary that’s fine but it’s still the most influential horror film ever and often considered one of the best movies ever
No mention of The Phantom of the Opera from 1925. It was quite horrifying for the time and still is somewhat horrifying today, all thanks to lead actor Lon Chaney. The promotional material was not allowed to show Chaney's face in the film in order to save the fear of seeing the Phantom's face. It lived up to its hype, as many audience members seeing it fainted at the sight of Chaney's face.
My daughter is a millenial, but she learned from a horror jedi what a good scary movie is. She recommends movies to me, and I truly value her opinion. This list is bs. I could only watch half, because it sucked so much.
Lisa Spikes it can be seen as a few friends out in the woods trying to make a documentary about a witch story and one goes insane from being out in the wilderness and kills their friends one by one
American Werewolf in London and Evil Dead scared the hell out of me. I was only 10 when they came out. I think I spent a few nights sleeping outside my parents door😆
My 10 favorite horror movies of all time : 1 Home alone 2 Robocop 3 Moonwalker 4 Weekend at Bernie's 5 3 o'clock high 6 The Glimmer Man 7 Problem child 8 Bill & Ted's bogus journey 9 Some Kind of Monster 10 Alvin and the Chipmunks
The not so Smooth criminal 4 People with depression are hiding themselfs from the cruel world and flee into a world of happines a smiling baby sun. Scuse me? SCUSE ME. Did you just insinuate that Pet Sematary isn't one effective, scary-ass flick? Zelda, the bed-ridden sister, kept me up at night for years. You're fired.
Of course you would hate it. It has a story line you have to pay attention to. The evil is subtle and actually realistic. The people are real and it can actually happen. Evil Dead is goofy (I mean when in real life are you going to actually have Zombie Demon activity as much as we would all love that? There is no way anyone could be scared by that. Blair Witch is nausea inducing imo but it is scary in that we have all been in that situation where we think something is out there in the woods.
That's a pretty good list of horror movies, definitely not the greatest top 20 but definitely some great horror movies .... Except for return of the living dead, seriously, lol. Might have mentioned some movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, 13 Ghosts, the Haunting, House on Haunted Hill, Ghost Ship, Saw, Jaws, The Ring, The Conjuring, The Grudge, etc.....You get the picture...
3 films that I think are absolute milestones and groundbreaking. Exorcist, Night of the Living Dead, and Texas chainsaw massacre, but I also have to mention Frankenstein and Dracula.
I would say the Wolfman is the most underrated monster movie from that period. Everyone knows Dracula and Frankenstein, but hardly anyone knows of The Mummy or The Wolfman. It's kind of a shame.
Señor MeinKrafter2020, I agree! (lol, help, I'm a 17 year old who's favorite movies/shows/ and non-country music (cause I love me some twang, XD) are from the 70s and back.) Have a nice day y'all!!! - J
Wolf Creek, Saw, The Omen, Poltergeist, Babadook, Cabin in the Woods, Dracula, Suspriria, The Ring, The Fly, Halloween, Rosemary's Baby, Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, The Others, The Conjuring, Dr, Phibes, Misery, The Wicker Man, Village of the Damned, House on Haunted Hill, Evil Dead, The Endless, Carrie, The Birds, Hostel, High Tension
Lets get one thing out of the way and hate me about it later , we all have different points of view on things one of them being movie films , this list is actually really good . Yea their are a lot of other scary movies much more than 20 or less and more . What I'm saying is it doesn't matter what's the best and what's the worse if you like it that's awesome ! Theirs no need to start an argument because you disagree with the choices chosen for this top list :) ❤

@John Wilson Maybe, but these clip shows seem to return to the same few movies again and again.
Most of these are, if not, the best that the horror/ suspense genre has to offer.

Mark C yes. She is going to tie someone up to a bed and hit their foot with a sledgehammer against a wooden block she placed between their legs to steady them for the hit.
He went a little mad
Carrie? Rosemarys Baby? The Conjuring? SIlence of the Lambs? PSYCHO????

The comments got the real movies
And what are the "real movies" there Kenneth?
braktuun you know how to read so why ask?
i consider most of loopers list to be quality horror flicks, just wondering what KT considers "real movies". are you KTs PR man?
A lot these movies suck. You’re next and Goodnight mommy I love. But this list does not have the original Halloween. It wasn’t for Halloween we wouldn’t have Jason, Freddy, or many other of the slashers we love. Halloween pretty much started the slasher genre
Ken Taylor
So, were just gonna pretend that the original Evil Dead never happened, okay.
unless i'm mistaken, horror films are supposed to be scary, evil dead is 90% comedy. i'd take Scream off this list for the same reason but at least that's 50/50 horror/comedy.
jedaaa the first Evil Dead film isn't that comedic. It was the sequels that really hammed it up
TheSNFB the evil dead remake has literally no comedy in it
yall are confusing me but in my opinion - original evil dead was horseshit. horrible movie. newer evil dead (2013 one, if there's any other remakes I haven't seen them)- way better. still not a strong story or anything in my opinion. also acting was iffy here and there. the gore was done super well though in my opinion and was visually creepy af in some scenes. would overall recommend the newer one if you're into gore.
also don't remember if the older one was super funny or anything, but the newer one deff isn't funny at all.
Its amazing to think how the 70's and 80's didnt have the same capabilities in production as todays movies; but in the same breath, still managed to put out some of the best horror to ever hit the silver screen.
It's because the technology wasn't so advanced/simple/convenient. More imagination or, in some cases, real, or low-tech, effects had to be used.
There are some good classics from that time , but tbh I feel like the 10s had some good ones that can match up with the older ones
Wow 0/10 list emoji movie wasn't on here????? 💩💩💩💩💩
Tupu that’s anime horror

Lol saaame
Well, the list was terrible.
Ximena Paredes ahahah same
Same , I wanted some salt mines .
Neither "Psycho" nor "The Silence of the Lambs"???? Any horror list is useless without those two classic and truly terrifying movies.
CANDYMAN
Silence of the lambs horror movie? Not really.
I would also add Rosemary's Baby, Polanski's masterpiece
Psycho is a schematic masterpiece
Hitchcock the master. All his movies are creepy to me.
King Kong lol thats not a horror
28 days later imo is one of the best portrayals of zombies and the acting is superb
M C u should check out 28 weeks later as well. The storyline is quite intriguing, imo
both were great
they werent zombies tho, they were live people infected with rage
That movie was shit AND it, was boring!!!

The Omen
The Silence of the Lambs

Poltergeist
Thir13en Ghosts
The Stepfather (1987)
How can you not have any of them on the list? You are insane.
Xclusive91 y tf do you people love Friday the 13th it's not even the best Friday the 13th movie
Obviously people have different opinions. . . . .
Dude it's the one that started off the series which is why it is held in such high regards and personally I would say the 3rd was the best but still the original is just golden for so many other reasons other than how scary it was or realistic or well the plot but without it the Friday the thirteenth movies wouldn't have kicked off the way they did.
Xclusive91 The first Conjuring too
All of the films you listed are worth mentioning except sinister
Simmer dowwwnn simmer doowwn they say we're to young now to amount to anything else we... *cough* you.. You weren't quoting a 5sos song.. But oh well.
The Ring actually freaked me out for a bit after I watched it.
I lost all respect when Paranormal Activity was mentioned
ExarAnubis the first one was great. don't hate on the first one based on sequels. It's popular so hipsters like you hate it
Turkey Leg no I hate the whole franchise cuz it's a stupid concept it's just reality TV's version of horror
ExarAnubis totally agree!
ExarAnubis I loved the movie but Katie and Micha were not married , they weren't even engaged yet. Just saying

Paranormal activity one of the greatest?? lmao

The first was okay I think they should have left it there
@MN Kid Agreed
I honestly preferred the third, but i can see why people love the first
I think we can all agree 20 is too short for the best horror movie list
Psycho, The Sixth Sense, A Quiet Place, Aliens, Halloween, The Silence of the Lambs...I know many people think of some of these as just psychological thrillers, but these should all be here IMO.
A Nightmare On Elm Street?
Friday the 13th?
Halloween?
o v e r r a t e d
They are not even scary
John Bro those are just overrated classic but they’re not really that good
All 3 of you guys must be on hardcore crack! Those are excellent horrors!
Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th are definitely overrated, but Halloween deserved a mention. How do you put Scream on this list and not mention Halloween?
Re-Animator is probably the best B-horror film I’ve ever seen. I never get sick of watching it. Every time you put it on it’s enjoyable
Yes! For me also Fright Night, Poltergeist and Child's Play.
No nightmare on elm street
No Friday the 13th
No Halloween
No dead trilogy
No Suspiria
No cannibal holocaust (the first found footage film not blair witch)
No demons
No event horizon
Seriously guys what kind of crapy list have you made to leave ^ Classics out poor form.
Troy Annells Fuck yes demons
Fuck no horizon
Troy Annells
Cannible Holocaust is Famous for Its realistic gore and blood.
BMA SH of course its consisted a classic and critics have never been kind to Italian horror.
Troy Annells
It's hardly a film though. But it did trick people😂😂
@Saint Butters, @BMA SH, @Duddelwuddel Looper's list is crap, and you people are stupid, if not are also rather fake horror buffs who need to get off your high horses to say the least.
Um...John Carpenter's Halloween...?
Julia Pancake also psycho??
Julia Pancake right like umm that's a classic too.
Halloween is as scary as a ham sandwich.
I was thinking of the same thing. This movie should have been on the list.
Dude how can he forget the best movie ever? Halloween
Martyrs broke my soul. And not much makes me flinch. I cried for an hour after watching it. So I bought it.
Check out Inside (À l’intérieur) and Haute Tension (Switchblade Romance) as well, just in case you haven’t (I guess you probably have 😃)

I'm scared to watch it.

Have you ever seen the original version of "The Fly"?
This list was crap. No Toy Story 3? Bedtime Stories?? Saw???
I cried at Toy Stories 3.. so it's more a drama like Donnie Darko.
wait what
Toy Story 3 LMAO
uh TS3 ans Saw are both great movies
spongebob the movie? Theres just bs here
Halloween??? Why isn't it here
My question exactly. They mentioned Scream but not the film without which its subgenre wouldn't exist.

Halloween is in October.

Paranormal Activity????? top 20???? hahahahahahaaaa so bulllshieet

A couple good ones but this list should be called "The 20 best big budget mainstream horror movies of all time" (For the most part)
the exorcist was actually VERY low budget. I seen a video of someone explaining the things they did.
@@kendaldieleman9044 I mean they are really good movies but actually scary? Not quite

Not at all. Texas chainsaw massacre, exorcist, and Blair Witch are low budgets but idk about the rest

Alien is “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” in space, which Ridley Scott got the inspiration from.
The Lighthouse is horror because the character slip into madness like the Shining.

TheLegend27 stop commenting
Alex Aceves scary movie is actually a solid horror comedy movie
TheLegend27 the scariest horror movie is Hannah Montana right TheLegend27
The author of The Exorcist book, hates that the movie is thought of as a horror movie. he says it is a drama about the struggle between good and evil and about human courage.
In all fairness, the movie explores that, too. Yes, the film has scares but the struggle between faith and evil is heavily displayed through Father Karras throughout the film.
Hol up, no emoji movie
sinister was pretty fucking scary imo...these sequel was ass though
agreed
It really lost its fear factor in the end tho. Like the boogeyman guy up close didn't really do it for me, it was his intentions and way of picking families off that was terrifying. The climax was good, the drop off was terrible.

Halloween
Nightmare on Elm Street
Friday the 13th
TheRogueHavoc what a basic bitch
Halloween? Pet Cemetery? Child's Play? Nightmare on Elm Street? my HOUSE is scarier than half the crap on this!

wheres evil dead
Not scary. Reminds me more of a satire with horror tones.
And what is RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD and SCREAM?
Return of the living dead is actually genuinely scary, especially for a first time watch, there are comedy "elements" but its largely grotesque, tar man is a very original creation and stays in your mind for a long time, the intro to the film will always be one of my favs, its just done so brilliantly! ... don't however watch any of the follow on films, as they are utterly shit.
scream? erm ... i pass on defending that lol

Strobo Yeah but if you were to go back to watch those right know, they wouldn't be as scary. People come up with crazy shit these days.
yung broomstick hella thicc Well, there’s a lot more to horror movies than only being scary, imo.
Let's see. The Exorcist, The Shining, The Omen, The Evil Dead, The Wicker Man, Rosemary's Baby

The most nonsense ranking I have ever seen
A total waste of time
The greatest horror movie is definitely telletubbies.

Mariah Carey's "Glitter"
@A Rebel With A Cause Fuck U!
Too scary for me. I'd be screaming the whole time. Would be great for a torture chamber.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers was AMAZING
The ending is probably one of the most memorable endings in the history of horror.
This list is a rip off, where's evil dead, halloween, nightmare on elm street?
Scuse me? SCUSE ME. Did you just insinuate that Pet Sematary isn't one effective, scary-ass flick? Zelda, the bed-ridden sister, kept me up at night for years. You're fired.
Pet Sematary was DEF a CREEPY azz FLiCK!!! I'm with you on that!!!
rachel... raChel.....RACHELLLLL
Rosemary’s Baby is gonna come get you for not mentioning him in ur list.
The Witch is by far the best horror movie of 2010s.
The witch sucked! Wasn't good at all
@@MJ-cv7yq why because it was against Jesus?
Rosemarys Baby?
David Villatoro excellent pick. One of my favorites.
Then we should also add "Don't Look Now"!
Oliver König Suspiria
sure i'd have dropped the exorcist for rosemary's baby
Might have mentioned some movies like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, 13 Ghosts, the Haunting, House on Haunted Hill, Ghost Ship, Saw, Jaws, The Ring, The Conjuring, The Grudge, etc.....You get the picture...
hulkyouup ghost ship is trash, straight up
13 Ghosts? really? That's like a scooby-doo movie without scooby doo in it.
I dont watch many horror movies and i can probably come up with a better list.
3 films that I think are absolute milestones and groundbreaking. Exorcist, Night of the Living Dead, and Texas chainsaw massacre, but I also have to mention Frankenstein and Dracula.
None of the classic Universal monster movies? (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolfman, etc.) I'm disappointed.
I would say the Wolfman is the most underrated monster movie from that period. Everyone knows Dracula and Frankenstein, but hardly anyone knows of The Mummy or The Wolfman. It's kind of a shame.
Bride of Frankenstein, Freaks, Black Sunday, Haxan And The Innocents are some old horror films that are still pretty effective
Señor MeinKrafter2020, I agree! (lol, help, I'm a 17 year old who's favorite movies/shows/ and non-country music (cause I love me some twang, XD) are from the 70s and back.) Have a nice day y'all!!! - J
Elizabeth Starks don't forget the original Phantom of the Opera
What about The Fly and Hellraiser. There are others worth a mention too
Krush Jones The Fly is among my favorite horror films ever. Like, nothing can top The Fly.
uh, Hellraiser, that one gave me nightmares
Ba-ba-ba... dook! Dook! DOOOOOKH!
Mike Echo babashook shook shook
Only thing scary in that was that fucking obnoxious, screaming, little brat.
Screw Babadook. That was a shitty movie. The only scary part was how much I wanted to hurt that obnoxious and evil kid.
Yee, Babadook was a good idea and trailers were spooky but the movie was meh.
It was more of a psychological thriller not so much horror. But I personally agree, I really liked Babadook
I forgot to mention Bram Stoker's Dracula. A masterpiece in its own right.
Where is the omen?
justaguyfriend WTF IS WRONG WITH YOUUUUUUUU
Lets get one thing out of the way and hate me about it later , we all have different points of view on things one of them being movie films , this list is actually really good . Yea their are a lot of other scary movies much more than 20 or less and more . What I'm saying is it doesn't matter what's the best and what's the worse if you like it that's awesome ! Theirs no need to start an argument because you disagree with the choices chosen for this top list :) ❤
The most infuriating thing is how narrow people seem to see the horror genre.
Steve Boyd exactly !

Get out was a terrible movie, if you haven't seen it, don't
