@milkman4279 i was referring to him raping a child. @neobellic Polanski as a filmmaker was good, he gave us some great media. He's definitely been a monster for a long ass time.
Lol, y’all sound confused as hell. I think Milkman is saying that Polanski did not kill the girl he raped. The girl Polanski raped has publicly stated she just wants the whole fiasco to be forgotten, she does not personally care. Milkman then expressed he believes people should leave Polanski alone because his wife Sharon Tate was murdered with their unborn child.
The Exorcist III scene scared the shit out if me when I was kid. The day after I watched it I ended up in the hospital due to a seizure. I was convinced I was gonna be killed like that nurse. Lol.
Are you speaking of the guy who's been hired by WatchMojo to commentate on their subject of choice? He's not doing it to tell you what you're watching, their purpose is to possibly confirm and for some introduce movies you haven't seen or didn't know about in a fun way. He's in the industry and speaks from that place of experience, as well as, a viewer himself.
For me was when the door slammed shut after the lady was inspecting the piano playing by itself (I cant remember her name it's been so long since I've seen it)
Number 11 still gets me. The first time I saw that scene I was so freaked out. So well done. What got me was the build up and then how she clearly locked the door but the moment her back is turned she is attacked.
@@bones22j Well obviously Evil Dead 1 and 2 are great. 3 was weird I guess, the reboot wasn't actually bad and Ash vs Evil Dead is also great. So I don't think Evil Dead fits with the other franchises that I listed that lost their touch
crazzi-j north I’m not going to rip you for your point because most people agree with you. I never looked at that family as a family they had no chemistry as actors and because they were clearly acting if you understand what I mean I couldn’t buy into the story. I guess I may have been expecting more and that tainted my feelings for the movie. I watch almost exclusively horror movies and I thought this movie had only two scary moments. When gils head smashes the pole and the thought of seeing more fat old people naked. But a lot of people liked it.
@@bumpusjones.1978 Totally agree. Maybe it was too hyped...but I thought it was a boring piece of shit. The syblings dont even look like distant cousins let alone brother and sister.

@Move_I_Got_This before 1996 she was mainly known for three things Firestarter, ET and her drug use. In 1996, she played a small role in Wes Craven's Scream. After this appearance, her star power was reawakened and she got roles in The Wedding Singer, Home Fries and Never Been Kissed. She had not been in anything notable in that decade until 96.
I agree... But at least they picked the scariest scene from Exorcist 3. I was so creeped out seeing that. That I checked behind doors when entering rooms for a long time after.
I was one of the very lucky ones that watched "Blair Witch Project" the way it was intended, thinking that it's real. It scared the hell out of me! Then the end credits started, and I started noticing it wasn't real. It was one awesome experience!
Bill Karnes Yep....I remember when that movie first came out....it was a huge hit in the theaters in it's opening weekend & was (as you said) filmed in a way that made it appear real. On that Monday (after opening weekend), I forget which show it was, but one of the daytime shows (maybe Good Morning America or Regis & Kathy Lee), all the actors/actresses in the movie went on the show.... *including Heather* who had supposedly died, and therefor revealing that the movie wasn't actually real like everyone thought it was & I remember hearing that the revelation caused quite a stir, lol.
@@billkarnes948 OH !! Okay, sorry. I didn't know about that. I lived in south Florida (near Ft. Lauderdale) at that time & there weren't any Steak n Shake's down there. I had never even heard of Steak n Shake until I moved to Ohio in 2004.
When the shower scene from Psycho, the head twist scene from The Exorcist, or the chestburster scene from Alien don't show up, you know the list is flawed. And, yes, the first Alien is definitely horror. >>
Oh, it definitely is. And the chestburster scene is worth rewatching to take in everyone's reaction. I think only John Hurt knew what was going to happen exactly. That shock on their faces was real...especially the lady playing Lambert, who got hit in the face with a squirt of blood by accident.
He's not wrong though. I absolutely think that The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is fantastic and a must see for anyone interested in the art of movie making - but I also think that the reason it is fantastic is because it ABSOLUTELY feels like there is something (seriously) wrong with it!
The Insidious (red face) jump scare still terrifies me to this day. I remember watching it for the first time with some friends at a party, and after I got home I was CONVINCED that there were people outside trying to break into my house. I was so paranoid after that. Ugh, comes outta nowhere!
I can't put in words how amazing Cabin in the Woods is. It came out at a time when horror was all remakes and sequels. Cabin in the Woods and Hatchet revitalized horror for me.
Norris death -The Thing The mom saw off her head - hereditary Hannibal pulling face off Silence Rhodes death - day of the dead Head giving head - reanimator Gage and Jud- pet sematary The ankle - Misery Rec - the ending The list goes on and on
Quite amazing that Eduardo Sánchez managed to talk so much about Heather Donahue’s fantastic performance without mentioning her name even once. That’s a study in master suppression technique.
Some obvious scene choices are missing from your list, WatchMojo. Number 1: Tom Skerritt in the ventilation shaft with the Xeno in Alien. Number 2: The chumming scene from JAWS when no one was expecting the shark to pop up. Number 3: Kurt Russell and petri dish from The Thing.
Just when you thought the commentary on this channel couldn't get any more annoying they add some semi famous "expert" for a second pointless commentary.... Just get in the bin already.
I saw that movie when I was still in grade school, and was totally taken aback by the sheer violence of that scene. Up to that time, I had never seen anything like it. I remember it to this day.
Was that the movie with the blind woman being robbed by a trio of home invaders? Never saw it, but it's a great premise...one played in reverse in "Don't Breathe", I guess.
The descent was pretty damn scary , low budget horror . Best scene is the camera night vision when the creature is behind her friend . That shit freaked me out .

That scene from American Werewolf still the best scene for me not just because of the classic effects but also the song that played behind during the scene always freak the shit out of me.
@@ApocalypseKurtz It was actually Sissy Spacek's own hand grabbing Amy Irving; she insisted on authenticity. But it's not the first jump scare. There have been others before it, including the head popping up at Richard Dreyfus in the sunken boat in "Jaws"-- I guarantee that that moment made movie audiences hurl their popcorn buckets into the air.
The scene from Carrie is as iconic as a landmark. You could close your eyes and see her covered in blood and then going into a psychotic state of mind... It's okay.. they also failed to include the Shower scene from Psycho... the chestburster scene from Alien to name a couple more
The Thing (1982) Doctor gets his hands eaten up when performing medical help on the injured ’human’. I can’t shake that scene out of my head. One of the best Horror movies of all time and the practical effects hold even to this day.
To me the guy with his eyes poked out in "The Birds". And Bruce Dern getting his hand and head chopped off in "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte". Nothing about "The Exorcist" ever scared me more than those 2 scenes.
Yeah... I mean it's not like they just plain forgot the Shower Scene from Psycho.... It's been number 1 on every other "Horror movie moments" list they've done. I guess this is meant to be a "pause to find extra meaning" list but yeah that should be number 1 on every Horror scene list.
yeah, you can't know how many times i've rewatched the shark coming out of the water in Jaws when the sheriff is chucking the bait in. "you're gonna need a bigger boat"
Signs -when the alien walks out Exorcist- when Selma Blair heads spin Nightmare on elm- opening scene when he has long arms This was a good list but there could have been some excluded such as predator. I was happy to see Sleepaway Camp though!
The scene from Signs where the alien walks by at that birthday party still haunts me to this day.

Oscar worthy performance
@Heywood Jablowme so is your sense of humor.
😂😂😂😂
@S Wright um, what?!?!
Roman Polanski was originally a master of horror and monsters. Now, he's just a horrifying monster.
He didn't kill her for crying out loud! She just wants to let it be forgotten. He had his wife and unborn child brutally murdered. He has suffered enough. Let it go.
what do you mean now? he's been one since over 40 years. But you can't deny he's made some really good movies
Philip Roberts she wants to move on does not mean she doesn’t care. Nobody doesn’t care about being kidnapped and raped
Loved that they had a scene from Exorcist 3. A very under appreciated movie.
If they were going to pick 3 at least they picked the best scene of all that hospital scene was crazy freaking scary good
Fish in the bathtub
The Exorcist III scene scared the shit out if me when I was kid. The day after I watched it I ended up in the hospital due to a seizure. I was convinced I was gonna be killed like that nurse. Lol.
Not much scares me but THAT scene was brilliantly scary....I think because it was not expected and beautifully horrific.
I read this at exactly the same time of the clip
I had to Muster up a lot of courage to click on this video cause of that movie. I’ve never finished that movie cause of that scene lol
over exaggerating
Kintner boy death scene - Jaws. The sudden gory raft attack followed by a close-up of sheriff Brody's face was classic.
Curt Randall I was just going to say this!! This movie remains to be the scariest movie to me because it could actually happen! 😬
The transformation from little girl to old lady at the end of the orphan.
That scene cannot even be considered transformation
I saw that twist a mile away
why is this guy commentating? we already know what we are watching.

That scene in The Others (2001) with the old lady replacing the daughter freaked me out ! Surprised it’s not there
For me was when the door slammed shut after the lady was inspecting the piano playing by itself (I cant remember her name it's been so long since I've seen it)
Alexandre Dion The plot twist at the end 'confused' me so much I had to watch the movie all over again the next day, LOL.
aparisi1995 her name was Grace. I've been rewatching clips from that movie for the past couple weeks now.
So so many brilliant moments in that film
Thank you for mentioning my favourite horror movie of all time.
That face at the end of Sleepaway Camp will always make my skin crawl.
Makes me want to close my eyes.
Not even scary lmao
Actually makes me laugh
Number 11 still gets me. The first time I saw that scene I was so freaked out. So well done. What got me was the build up and then how she clearly locked the door but the moment her back is turned she is attacked.

Hereditary was one of the best modern horror movies ever! It’s rare a movie shocks me but that one did it was brilliant
crazzi-j north I’m not going to rip you for your point because most people agree with you.
Very very true. I can't even rewatch it lol.

They got Predator 2 on here but not John Carpenter's The Thing. Let that sink in. Smh
The intro for Scream relaunched Drew Barrymore's acting career.
I remember when my mom rented the movie on VHS. She wouldn't let me see drew Barrymore dead body. It too years before I finally saw it that made it more sad.
@@batgurrl never said anything about Scream launching her career. I said Scream re-launched her career.
Jamazoid I am so very sorry I stand corrected. I misread the statement entirely😜
I've always said the same thing. The Scream cameo was the smartest decision of Barrymore's young career.
Why wasn't "Misery" in this....the moment she took a sledgehammer to them ankles....omg i put that on repeat.

So the greatest line in horror history “Game Over” along with jigsaw rising of the floor did not make it?
That is not the greatest line in horror history. Like not even close

Disappointed that none of the scenes from John Carpenter's The Thing made it on the list.

The blood test scene is easily top ten.

Maybe only beaten by the original Alien.
But both are true masterpieces.
I'd hardly call Predator 2 a "horror" film.

That's a brilliant scene, and no one in horror could evoke atmosphere like Jacques Tourneur (except maybe James Whale)
