    A. Must Do
    B. Should Do
    C. Nice to Do [50% of time; no relevance]
    D. Delegate to Do
    E. Eliminate
    Practice Discipline:
    A1.
    A2.
    A3.
    Use willpower and mental strength to get going and keep going on the one job and most important task you could be doing. Eat the whole frog and don't stop until it's finished completely. This alone can double your productivity the very first day you begin using this system.

    Amazing how Brian Sir is directing people and organizations towards their journey towards growth, peace and prosperity on a continuous and on-going basis. Eat That Frog is yet another masterpiece; which no one can afford to miss. And the book can be read in 5-10 days by spending two careful hours in a day. Thank you Sir !

    Got hold of your book a few years ago. Good one. Thank you Mr Tracy.
    Simplicity is its forte.
    There is nothing in that book that (most) people do not normally know, but something that (many) people rarely do.
    I think its a matter of being "aware" of what we are doing (or not doing) every moment of life that defines our success or failure.

    I would also like to, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the work you do and share for free, especially for this wonderful book! (Which you also kindly shared for FREE!!!) I've been studying buddhism and all kinds of wisdom traditions, all kinds of 'manifesting' techniques and methods and whatnot, but I have to say, that no book I've read in my life has such a direct impact on my thinking. I'm an artist and kind of have prejudices against being all 'business-y' (if you know what I mean) so I was a bit skeptical, but this book has actually heart. Wonderfully written and just so simple its mindblowing.
    THANK YOU SIR
    Hope you have a most wonderful day!

    I love how many productivity systems include delegation as something you should strive to do at every opportunity. I’m far enough down the totem pole that I often find my day swamped by urgent and important stuff that someone else has flung my way. It’d be nice to include some thought of who has capacity to take these on, not just skills when you’re next advising people of the ABCDE choices they have.

    Even if you plan your day and assign tasks, there may be something that will change your plan, for example an email from manager „I need you to prepare and send me this and that by tomorrow.” This will suddenly become a big A on your tasklist and you might not even touch the other A’s you’ve intended to complete at all, or were disrupted half way through your first A that will be pushed

    I have been trying to prioritize my tasks each day. But I found it frustrating when someone above me always orders me to do things that's not on my task list. I found it interrupting me to achieve my daily goal. As my role doesn't allow me to follow my daily plan and delegate, resulting in work piling up, what are your suggestions? Thanks.

  • @AlbertoSalviaNovella
    @AlbertoSalviaNovella 10 лет назад +2

    RUNNING LIKE THE TURTLE, NOT THE HARE
    According to Lean Management, there's a previous step than 'A' (tasks that has serious consequences if done or not).
    Step 'S': remove, clean and organize a frequent task.
    It has been tested for years in the Japanese industry that, for nearly any circumstance, doing 'S' and 'A' actually takes less time than doing 'A' alone.

    Great book - HIGHLY recommend this for serial procrastinators! If you learn just ONE thing from it... (such as described in the video) you will reap a multiple return on the time investment spent reading it. And it IS an investment that WILL return gains if you apply the knowledge in your life.

    I like to share my own experience as I try to set ABCDE task for my daily work. At the first time I do make a mistake by confusing an A task as the C or D task after that it very bad for me. So I think to know what is your A or E task you need to think the result of etc task and you can determine what is the most ugly frog then eat it :D
    My English still on improving. So don't mine me if bad :)

  • @hellfirehellfyre6591
    @hellfirehellfyre6591 9 месяцев назад +2

    "Eat the frog first" is an intriguing concept, predicated on the assumption that one has complete control over their schedule. However, for the majority of individuals, especially those who aren't exceptionally wealthy, such autonomy is often lacking. Often the most challenging task of the day cannot be tackled until the late afternoon or early evening due to external factors and the schedules of others. Hence, while the time management concept of "Eat the Frog" is commendable in theory, it may not hold up well in practical application.

    Using will power won't get you far. Having to use your will power is an indicator of having an internal conflict. You'd just be fighting with yourself. That's not wise. What would be wise is to find out what's holding you back and let go of it, so that you could proceed with eagerness and maybe even joy.

  • @DangerousFacts48
    @DangerousFacts48 12 лет назад

    Great question. I reckon (as a devoted Tracy follower and someone sorting out my life right now) that, by definition, not all tasks CAN be A-tasks. If I'm right, then at least some of the tasks you think are As are actually not As at all! (Most of them are probably Bs.)
    Hence, you always feel like you should be doing something else - because you haven't actually consciously decided which ones are "must do", "should do", "could do" etc.
    Oh, and never forget the Ds - DELEGATE wherever possible.

    Great, but what if all my tasks are A tasks? :-) Everything has consequences if it is not done 100% perfectly: work, houseworks, family meetings, healthy lifestyle.. everything. My problem is this: if I do one thing, let's say studying or working on a project, I always feel I should do something else, like cooking dinner or other thing around the house. When I cook or clean, I think of all the studying I could do at that time. And I often end up with things done badly or not done at all.. Well?

    • @costanzauk
      @costanzauk 5 лет назад +1

      i know exactly what you mean here...but the funny this is, i think you know what the answer to your question is. I know what the answer is too, but my mind plays games with me like this to avoid taking action. What is the thing that you LEAST want to do now? That is probably a good indicator of what you should start with.
