My husband made a paste out of crushed up vitamin C and water and spread it on my back when I got the shingles. I also take L Lysine and super vitamin b. Stress and low immune system brings it on I read. I wish I could eat peanut brittle. I love it.
Can’t wait to try this. I am a big fan of peanut brittle and usually buy See’s but is so expensive I hope to get it as a gift from family. Never made candy before but you make this sound easy. You tube suggested your channel today and now I have subscribed and feels like an early Christmas present! Thanks for sharing. Going to watch the toffee video next.
U r a ray of sunshine. Love watching u. Good to hear about ur life & how ur faith sees u through the hard times. I enjoy seeing u & Chris Working together. From sm. City east of TO. Home of Blue Jays. ON. Canada
Tammy you are so cute and I love your personality. You are just so real. Your peanut brittle looks amazing. Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. I absolutely love peanut brittle.
Oh Tammy this is Great timing. My son wanted this recipe so bad. A friend gave my brother some so he shared it with my son. He's been wanting some ever since. 😊❤
Texas Millionaires and Martha Washington are my two favorites of all the candy although I haven't tried the toffee, but I do plan to make toffee this weekend.
I love peanut brittle. I just made one that was 1/2 Karo syrup and 1/2 Honey & it’s delicious. I do fix mine in the microwave. It’s so easy . Mix your sugar, syrup and peanuts, cook for 4 minutes, take out and stir, put back in for 4 minutes, take out and stir and add butter, and vanilla, put back in and cook 2 minutes, take out and add 2 Tbsp baking soda, stir and pour out on buttered pan. Use Tammy’s ingredients and only cook in a heavy glass batter bowl. Do not smooth out once on the pan. I will make this recipe though. I make most of Tammy’s recipes. Love you sweetie. ❤❤ These new microwaves needs to be turned down to 80% power.
Once you have Shingles. My understand they stay in your system. And are subject to break out at anytime. My husband has them. Good luck. From Tennessee Elaine
My Mama used to make peanut brittle every Christmas and the only skillet she would use is a cast iron skillet. She never used a candy thermometer, she used the “spin a thread” method. Everyone looked forward to her special gift every Christmas.
The peanut brittle looks so yummy 😋 It was pretty easy too Thank you for going into detail ❤ You look very nice Love your Christmas decor Have a good day 👍
Sweetheart I've had shingles 3 times. A Old woman told me the 2nd time to eat anything with peppermint oil in it. It actually works better then the medicine. You can Google it. I eat peppermint disks i don't put it on it.
That's my Dad's recipe. In the cast iron. Boil until it starts to brown, then quickly add vanilla and baking soda and dump it out. So easy and delicious. 😊
My mom has been making caramel corn with pecans, chocolate covered cherries, chocolate covered coconut balls & chocolate covered maple nut balls for Christmas for 50+ years. It’s not Christmas without those treats!😋
My favorites are old fashioned fudge and butter toffee. Yum! You are correct about peanut brittle in the microwave. Not the same unless you toast the peanuts first.
I love brittle! I agree with what you said about being Christmas time, and you're gonna make it real. I am highly allergic to corn, and cannot have corn syrup, so I would love to know if there is a substitute for corn syrup.
Yum, yum, yum!!!😋I made peanut brittle (my hubby's favorite) a couple of weeks ago, he almost ate the entire batch😂. We just ordered the thermometer gun on Amazon, thanks for the tip. Some of our go-to Christmas dessert recipes are fudge, Buckeyes, peanut brittle and Christmas sugar cookies. Love watching all your videos❤❤❤❤❤
I love my gun Tammy but I still check it once with an instant read, I hate the candy thermometer. Never heard of a Martha Washington ball. My favorite candy to make is caramel bottom, middle marshmallow then coated in bittersweet chocolate. Looks perfect, yummy.
Tammy, Chris did a video 1 time talking about he got the right woman cause you can cook. Boy he wasn't lying. I bet he is so proud to have you. I really wasn't that good of a cook. I've had to learn a lot. His mama had to teach me a lot. I miss her so much. 😊❤
I loved to cook when I was young, then after marriage I hated it. In my later years I love it again. I'm always amazed at the fact I don't need a recipe-I just know from experience
Oh no I missed you live😒Tammy Gtsy your hair is so pretty tonight. Sorry to hear about your shingles. I love my cast iron pans. Fudge is my favorite candy to eat. I remember that video to about how you pulled your hair and cut it Lol . Tammy your beautiful inside and out . peanut brittle looks delish what a nice gift to give to someone. Thank You God bless
Shingles, can reoccur bc they come off the nerve and mostly it occurs on your torso, it can even get on your head , once that nerve gets damaged it can always have everlasting nerve pain… so get your shot right away . Even though it is derivates from chickenpox you can get it anytime many times I’m going to try this recipe, I tried it in the microwave and it just turned to Carmel I like mine the color f peanut butter 😋 ❤fromTX
My poor sister got shingles in her eye ,and she's never been the same . Tammy, I think you probably got nerve damage from the shingles . My sister's never been the same. She's been on medication since her episode(pregablin ) spell check ? Is what she takes .
I can understand someone asking what you can use instead of Kayro syrup, cause I have moved out of the country and here is no kayro syrup. I miss it for dishes around the hoildays. I guess I am gonna have to learn to make my own. Great video btw.
I have had. Them 3 times, and each time, they were different. Yes, they are miserable. Couldn't stand my clothes to touch them. I think they gave me something like a steroid shot or pills to help me get through it. Hope it gets better. They are miserable. 😢
Those are so good tidbits thank you.
You look so pretty and your hair looks beautiful! The tree is magnificent! 🎄
It looks great! Thank you for sharing this recipe!
I remember this recipe! My Mom would make this for us at Christmas. Wonderful memories. Merry Christmas, Tammy and family. ❤
I agree with your shopping tips. If you go to the trouble (joy) of baking for family and friends, you really don't want to skemp on ingredients!
Cho. fudge Thank you and God bless you and your family ❤ From Chandler TX.

I did there was a copyright problem with the music
I like gritty fudge
The real stuff , yes ma’am
My grandmother used to make fudge that I believe was primarily sugar. It was actually gritty when you ate it have you ever heard of such a thing?

My special dessert I'm going to make this year is my late Aunt June's old fashioned apple stack cake. I need to get the dried apples ordered. 😂
My poor sister got shingles in her eye ,and she's never been the same . Tammy, I think you probably got nerve damage from the shingles . My sister's never been the same. She's been on medication since her episode(pregablin ) spell check ? Is what she takes .
I think that is why some people don’t get shingle shot because it is not guaranteed
I like your hair and dress
I can understand someone asking what you can use instead of Kayro syrup, cause I have moved out of the country and here is no kayro syrup. I miss it for dishes around the hoildays. I guess I am gonna have to learn to make my own. Great video btw.
