What I find interesting is that banished knights have a horn-esqu curve on their right shoulders. And have the power to call upon storms. Both wind and ice. Maybe they're loosely related to the hornsent?
The whole arena of Commander Gaius is filled with banished knight armor/corpses. That scene looks more like a slaughter then 2 armies fighting, maybe that was the betrayal the hornboyz talk about, Marika telling them to meet and link their armies there to go and fight the fire giants toghedaaa, BAM, Gaius falls like a nuke on them, messmyboy&co. Comes after and poke the survivors, Marika closes the land în Shadow, the end.
It's pretty explicitly stated that the lightning, ice, and wind abilities are because of the divine beast's association with storms. The reason fire isn't amongst them is because it's not typically associated with storms. Weather literally brings wind, ice, and lightning directly from the sky. Storms can cause fires but it's not like fire actually rains from the sky during storms.
It's possible that the "Divine Bird" Ornis' ash is referencing is the Stormhawk King. Whatever the true origins of Stormveil, I think it definitely came from this same culture of crucible worship. So many places and people have ties to different aspects of worship of the crucible and to storms that it's really difficult to decipher a timeline. I would really love to figure out how the Hornsent culture, the Crucible Knights and Godfrey, and the beastmen and dragons of Faruum Azula are all intertwined.
We need an explanation of bugs! Aspect of the Crucible incantations invoke forms of beasts, amphibians and even plants, but not bugs? Are bugs separate from the crucible? Then how come hornsent folks become flies? Why do kindred of rot have humanoid arms? I can't make sense of bugs!
I Imagine that bugs are associated with the Outer God of Rot and therefore "impure" in the eyes of the Golden Order. As is the Crucible itself and it's worshippers or kin. Crucible Knights, Misbegotten, and maybe even the Kindred of Rot. Although the Kindred have no Connection to the Crucible they are a thorn in the eyes of the order. Separate from everything else. With a god of their own.
Thing is. His worship of the crucible seems to be a different sect, focused more on physicality rather than elemental power. Look at the incantations of the crucible knights, most involve mutation and changing the body in one way or another. While Godfrey himself uses only his monstrous strength.
@@thatoneguy5856 they’re definitely more like the lesser divine beast warriors. Side note but it’s strange to me that the crucible knights invoke so many animals but never bears or lions
Definately not. For one, he was originally a barbarian from the wasteland tribes, not a member of hornsent society. And given his lack of horns he would not have been allowed to join the ranks of horned warriors. His connection to the crucible through the crucible knights under his command seems more like an acknowledgment of its power rather than any sort of worship.
Fire used to be involved, but then Blurn the Clumsy set himself and his co-puppeteer on fire. The retired the fire portion because those lion dancer costumes are super expensive.
off topic question, if the fingers were responsible for gifting shadows from the greater will, but then learn that the fingers were cut off from the greater will, where do the shadows come from and what role do they play now? Also how are some fingers born as weak finger creepers that are hostile to us, and some are born as the two fingers of great power and don't try kill us on sight
I'm curious why the 2nd lion uses Death Blight. There's no other real connection to Death in this ritual or its practitioners. Especially when it's in a place more connected to Rot than Death.
Honestly it would be pretty interesting to see the divine lion at it,s full power. And for clarification: have you seen the devonia-s centaur-like crusable incantetion?well to perform a lion dance the dacncers had to have (in total) two legs to mimic the lion as well as two free hands to hold the mask, and now imagen a divine beast dance performed with added use of crusable incantetion of centaur
@@square-table-gaming You should! I’m a trained actor-singer and now am a vocal coach. You definitely have natural talent and a vocal quality that is pleasing to listen to.
There is a theory that the lions we see in places like redmane castle are the divine lions. When you look at their models they have horns in their manes.
They are definitely closer to the crucible. I don't think they're quite divine, but maybe they're the offspring of the divine lions. Their shackles could indicate they were raised in captivity.
We can choose to leave the last dancing beast alone if we want to. We do not need to kill them and this the dance can live on and we can allow this culture to still exist. Humble your blade tarnished and know when to pick it up and when to not

Yeah but look at the level of connections they have to dragons and how connected dragons are to storms
If they served old Lord of Stormveil, then probably yes.
@@matiasluukkanen7718I think that the storm lord as it were, was actually serosh.

Do you think Commander Niall has a connection with the hornsent? His armor has horns on it, and he fights with storms, frost, AND lightning attacks.

@waveburner1254 flies seem more associated with the Formless Mother, than the Scarlet Rot.
Despite the name there are insects wings on the fine crucible feather talisman, so I think that they came from the Crucible too
I wonder if Godfrey was once a sculpted keeper, his ties to the crucible are hard to overlook
He’s definitely sculpted

We can find another lion on Rauh. We should’ve learned the dance from him

I'd be 'Lion' if I said this wasn't a great lore dive... you could say it's a 'divine' video! 🤣Great vid, never fails to entertain! Cheers mates ! ! 🍻

W tutorial works as intended I am now a divine beast
How to train your divine beast
From the creators of how to train your dragon.
Staring the hornsent as hiccup
And divine beast as toothless
More of these pictures on merch please. I have the Envoy Mug and would love the Divine Beast on a T-Shirt
You should do a video of the black knights next because their armor looks a lot like malikeths and I wonder what kind of connection they have
Can you please pretty please talk about the shed skin of Eiglay in Bonnie Village. Please! Also the video is great!!!
This Chanel is SO underarted i am so exited for the new hype feature RUclips is adding so we Can boost your videos to get Them into the algorithem.
ngl i have no idea what that is. It's never been brought up in any of the communications they send me haha
Your voice work is exceptional, as always on these videos! *chef’s kiss*
Thank you! I used to hate my voice, now my audience has me thinking I should try to actually do something with it.

Expect it's cursed by death blight ;)
The other dancing lion, at the bottom of the grand stairs uses fire and death.
Will a video about the curseblades and their place in hornsent civilization be possible?
Oh nice, new video!
They had it comeing
Victim becomes the abuser
Can someone explain why one of the dancers has death blight? I’m not sure how that connects to the lore
Given that lion dancer is hidden away, I'm willing to bet it's been infected by Godwyn since his body is also beneath the land of shadow
Greetings from the Carrot-Man

Another great vid. Almost sounds bleak when mentioning lion dancing could be a lost art. But then I recalled what the hornsentdid.
