- Fraser Allen's next to pitch a product which he believes will stop thefts from stealing holiday-makers belongings whilst at the beach or pool. He's asking for £150,000 for just a 5% stake, but will this wash well with the Dragons?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

It’s the classic case of a ridiculous valuation based on no sales.
I don't think it's a ridiculous valuation, but I understand that others may feel it was.
@@AshiStarshade silence fraser go down those stairs 👤
and a ridiculous product. I mean really....who on earth hasn't thought of that....and rejected the thought. My son did...when he was 7yo.
If i was a thief & i saw that thing bolted to a sun lounger, id just take the whole sun lounger 😂
You would only need a rock to break the lock. Sadly people think things like this work
Some bolt croppers and an excuse saying you lost your keys to folks who question you would probably do.
Decent pair of medical shears would cut the rubber, then take a box full of them home to open at your leisure!
Yeah because that wouldn’t attract attention would it
@@Rocketman10057 Bro it could be done in seconds. There's no way you think this would work. I hope to God you aint one of the suckers who buys some bs like this. Btw you don't have to take the whole chair you could just run up and cut it off the chair in about 20 seconds with the right equipment.
This is a petty thief's literal dream come true lol.
Rory found one of these, washed up at his workplace…
...and yelled out to Frazer, "You've been badly advised!!"
How was he able to see it without flow signal
I was kind of disappointed that Deborah didn't ask Frazer if his safe is patent protected 🤔😆
"Yes, I have a patent!"
*hands paper to Deborah*
"... This is a take-away receipt"
The Lock Picking Lawyer would have this open in 2 seconds
and then do it again to prove it wasn't a fluke
Lmao you know 🤣😂🤣🤣 so true
Swimming at the beach and you hear in the distance: "nothing on one, a little click out of two, three is binding"
That's being generous🤣
...Using a Mars bar.
Duncan hs such a criminal mind. I've seen quite a few pitches now where he's managed to pick apart a safety product in minutes and prove it doesn't work.
If he's a criminal mind then it's not necessarily a product that 'doesn't work' it's more Duncan is a crack at safes...
You have to consider where Duncan grew up
He nitpicked and that's all. Every single safety device can be beaten. They're all deterrents, just like this.
in one episodes Duncan thought that cyclists still used dynamos to power their bike lights.... !!
No, most thief's will just pick the lock. No matter if its a number or key lock... it can be picked very fast.... half-naked thief's on a beach don't go around with with big cutting tools like Duncan imagine.
@@76-UVB wherever it is, that’s discrimination!
One LockPickingLawyer video and this thing is done for
>barges into the den
>Sets a high valuation
>Declares that he believes in the product
>Refuses to explain further

Way to go captain obvious.
>not 4chan
Chad tbh
Anyone could break that lock, you don't need to be a professional thief
Hello lunchers
That time again
Brian's figures and Rory's seaweed.
Expat here, in Boston. I get my Jones/Meaden injection with breakfast!
Everyday, 2 pitches!
Hey 👋
On a crowded beach I imagine lots of people but only a small fraction of them have chairs to secure this product with.
we haven't sold any yet...
our accountant went through the figures...
one pitch..
I live on the beach. I’d never bring more than $20 on the beach. There’s nothing to buy anyways. You leave it in your car locked up or at home.
I just don’t understand this. If your at a hotel resort you can pay for things with a room card.
I’d guess your more likely to get robbed if you actually bring a safe with you on the beach 😂
That product is absolute crap. It's an invitation to thieves now they know where your wallet is hidden. That skinny combo lock could be cut off in seconds.
Fraser: ‘We believe in the product’
But will his company stay afloat?
We will have to sea.
@@anubusx So far his company hasn't rocked the boat.

Addicted to these clips..watched over fifty pitches already...I'm my own dragon at home lol
Hello from the other side of the pond! Breakfast time!
I’m joking of course, but I swear they must pay some of these people to come onto the show and pitch their fledgling little company to be worth some outlandish evaluation. I mean if literally any one of them had watched even a few episodes of the show, then they would know that over valuing their company is the worst mistake they could make, hands down. It doesn’t matter what sort of miracle invention they dreamed up, no matter how good it could possible be, if they try to say they have a company that’s worth $3,000,000 and yet they know they have only put $150,000 into it along with zero orders, zero sales to date, and negative cash flow, then your business is worthless. His margins actually didn’t sound bad, and while it wouldn’t have been a home run or anything, I actually believe that he could have sold quite a few of these things and did quite well had he just offered up a fair amount of the business with a reasonable evaluation of maybe 3-5 hundred thousand dollars.
Yeah you make good points tbh
Not gonna lie It was the no sales on a dead industry for a small percent for me
well they have episodes to make :)
*Valuation, not evaluation. I think maybe they predict that the percentage will be driven down by the dragons.. But yeah they go way too high and sound crazy.
It’s just that some people want to get on TV, I doubt he wanted an investment
This guy got roasted all the way to kindergarten.
While I dont think that this is a good solution, the problem he is trying to solve is a very real one. I do think there is a solution for this out there that would make millions, I hate having to leave my valuables at my towel when I go to the beach
This is silly when the old tuck it in the front of the shoe behind some socks works.
I always love how Deborah raises her hand and presses her fingers lightly together.
It is very classy.
It's a tell on a poker 🎯
Why do they always zoom in on it 😂😂
Large cheesey chips with gravy and a hot chocolate 👌
Nice!
Sounds like a stroke😁 Enjoy!
don't think anyone wants to...sink money into this
I thought it was a... shore thing.
I sea what you guys did here
He was all at sea.
You know he was in trouble the moment he pitched £150k for 5%, and then showed them a lock-strap for a sun lounger with no sales!
He got a reality check
“I should be a billionaire” we feel you Duncan! 🤣
He's a quarter of the way there!
Just made myself two bacon sarnies with rocket, tommy and a bit of pepper. Beauty
Oooooooh yes

His is a good example of circular logic. He wants them to bring the product to its full potential and he wants them to pay on the basis of its full potential. In his view they are simultaneously ignorant of its potential and the only people who can help the product reach it.
First thing I thought of was this thing is a massive advertisement to thieves that there's something in there worth stealing. And they will find a way to get through it, they always do.
They very very nice to him.
This guy is running on nothing but hopes and dreams.
Before I watch it I just wanna say: 150k for 5% and all I need help with is purchasing the tooling, moving into production, marketing, and distribution.
edit: The vein in Deborah's neck is sticking out
edit2: oh god it's not getting better
Who brings valuables to the beach?
Thieves these days will also pinch the sun lounger is well 🤣
Yeah BUOYYYYY
This specific idea is good...but didn't they have this kind of thing before that does the same purpose? Why not use one of those blankets!
Why can I not stop laughing and think about someone excessively farting in his face
Duncan, "I've been doing it all wrong !"
and he was really convinced ..
Rest in peace Hilary, you will be missed
By whom???
i can open them locks in under 15 seconds & with my eyes closed
This is the lock picking lawyer and today I have for you ... 🙄 20 seconds of action and 40 seconds of goodbyes.
we believe believe believe believe believe believe believe
how do you put $140k to just a prototype
Had he ever been to a beach? I've never seen anyone bring a heavy poolside lounge chair. No, they bring those lightweight, flimsy ones. Anyone would look at this, go "ooo, must be something in there worth protecting", and just take the whole chair.
Where do you go to the beach? All around the Med beaches have the really loungers because that guarantees they don't get stolen or blown away by the wind. Millions of them line the Med coast.
Based on the figures online the company never took off.
You could open. That thing in under a minute.
Do people not realise how much 3 million is anymore?
If he's a property developer you only need to ask him what would he take, this business or a £3m property.

The dragons were incredibly disrespectful today.
Just look at the audacity of the entrepreneur who despite having no sales or history of success in the past, valuing his good for nothing business at a 3million pound.... Delusional, to say the least, and idiotic to stretch it .
Gotta love Deborah! Ruthless.

Very patronising these Dragons aren't they. Why not just be nice.
You just can't be nice in this situation. To be fair he got off easy they all doing him a favour to tell him not to put anymore money into it

Those locks are super easy to pick, wouldn't buy it for that reason!
Perfect summation by Deborah.
simply delusional.
The best den lineup to me.!
These dragons has no sense of adventure. I am no dragon, but once a chap on the street that I have never met asked me to help him, so I set a furniture business for him, put all the cash and gave him a deal of 80% for him and 20% for me, and then I did all the work. There again, I am the man who played the life of God.
I’d rather make money vs have a ridiculously, naive sense of business.
For a 3 million dollar evaluation of a product he’s never sold, absolute joke he even got on the show.
Gosh the Dragons are very harsh and mean… wouldn’t go well nowadays
Embarassing 🙄
Turned off after the first minute. Hopeless!
