In October 2019, Red Bull's legal team asked them to stop using the slogan No Monsters, No Bull on its packaging as it had already registered the No Bull slogan. However they were nice enough to allow them to continue the current production run and use up the packaging so Red Bull were not as nasty as they could have tried to be.
Red Bull initial marketing consisted of leaving empty cans lying around rubbish bins at concerts and festivals, it made the drink look popular, so people bought into it. After the festivals people were paid to pickup the empty cans to re-use.

Edit: *Spoiler Alert in this comment* I’ve seen Peter use this same tactic sooo many times, Step1, stay quiet let the other dragons count themselves out. Step2, Pretend to be uninterested, say something negative about the product Step3 make it seems like there’s no chance he would invest Step4 throw out an offer for wayyy more than they would have normally accept now that he has them in his grasp. And then BOOM! Got ‘em Absolute Genius! 😎
The problem with a “healthy energy drink” is that is a flawed concept with a very specific target audience. The people who care about health know that eating healthy, sleeping, and drinking water is where your energy comes from and if they would for some reason want an energy kick they’d go for a green smoothie or a green tea and the people who drink red bull (either over stressed college kids who are just trying to get through the semester, or night shift workers like me who just want to stay up don’t care that it’s not healthy. Also we’re practically addicted to it so good luck getting us to kick the habit. I’ve tried every other energy drink that comes out and I may even give it a week but I always go back to Red Bull.
I'd drink it, I hate energy drinks because of the crap that's in them. I know how to eat healthy, sometimes (especially when on the move) you want an energy boost that's not full of sugar and fizz. I like the product alot.. Never seen it in a shop though!
Actually, there are people who might use energy drinks and want to be healthy, e.g. people who exercise and use them to fuel an intense workout. It has been proven that caffeine before a workout helps with endurance and the release of fats as a source of energy.
The deal fell through in the end due to the company deciding to go down the crowdfunding route. They raised £110k and gave up 7% of equity. Can’t find their sales for this year but they seem to still be going strong. Probably not as big as they would’ve been with Peter repping the brand though.
The incredible value of a Dragon never seems to be understood by the entrepreneurs. For a startup or a business with no real growth, Peter is worth way more than 30% even without the $50K investment.
Honestly if it has nothing to help it stand out (a unique taste and/or amazing price), it isn't going to make it massive, at least not for years or until it is bought by Coke-Cola or PepsiCo
Apparently they declined the offer after the show, successfully kickstarted for £60,000 for 7% equity. They raised their assets to £115,000 in 2020 before decreasing to £42,885 in 2021 with liabilities of £78,000 and only £515 in cash. I guess they became part of the 90% like Tej said
People are just arrogant. Creating a range of drinks with a simple brand has little value. You have to see the larger picture here. You aren't going to retain 90% of the shares, you effectively want this drink brand to become huge to simply have your name associated with it and move onto something next. None of the drinks in the supermarket are really sold per taste - not even with all that sugar - simply the drink availability is controlled by CocaCola and PepsiCo, and they burn serious cash promoting the somewhat average drinks... this is why most drinks fail, no matter how tasty they are or great the branding is... you need the distribution - which is the market leaders monopoly - and millions to launch.
and you need to get out of socialist economies as quickly as you can.. you can't afford as a startup business to give away 50% of your earnings to greedy governments
Once every Dragon declined to make them an offer, Peter sat there with a grin on his face, knowing whatever his offer would be, they'd accept it, and to my surprise, Peter made a fair offer, unlike some dragons that are extremely greedy in his position.
No disrespect to the guy, but the number of people who started their first "little business" selling snacks and drinks in schools... and like real business it was always the people stealing their products that made the real profit. Though respect to them, they had a solid product and a decent model, but like half the time the dragons shied away with their lame excuses "business is competitive, some businesses fail, I can't take that risk!", "this isn't a miracle product, it's not the best thing I've ever tasted at all, consumers won't be addicted to it!". Respect to Peter for not bullshitting about it (even though he can be a bit of a shark sometimes).
Seems that happens everywhere happened to a small kid in my school some older guy saw him selling. He told everyone then they ripped his bag open and took everything saying road tax felt sorry for him
The problem with a new drink is that you need to advertise the crap out of the product to compete. Good luck with compeating against Redbull and other energy drinks which people use for daily consumption and drinks in the weekend. Being healthy means close to nothing if the product is boring, only nerds care about if something is super healthy, whatever super healthy means since nothing is healhy if you consume too much of it.
