Imma be mad if someone comes out here saying I’m a nerd but just letting you know that you should use steel instead of steal because steal is the act of taking something while steel is the material used in flint and steel but there isn’t steel in Minecraft so they just used iron but that makes me wonder why they didn’t just add steel or make another item that could light things on fire or just forget about it and have only the fire charge.
A good way to get ideas is probably not to just straight up yoink a build. Look around for inspiration and take aspects from different builds to create your own.
That looks really nice! This might be the first genuinely good minecraft short I've seen. No shit music, no shit tts, good build at the end. My only gripe, and this really is a nitpick, I don't like the portal placement because noise. But that's super easy to move.
Its not bad though i also built one ultimate survival base which i saw from a channel called Blockical its good and he showed the interior too his builds have never dissapointed me except the 6×6 spruce saplings tree house one.
You can >Use ocelots >build in Stairs (yk this is Minecraft? You can build and change stuff the way you like it) >build it with stone >build no portal or dig a basement underneath and place it there >build more entrances I built this one and changed everything i didn’t like so it suits my interests
I’m gonna burn down my current base and then flatten it out and build this but imma move the portal somewhere else but the it’s perfect for my pink sheep farm
Downsides:
No stairs in the house.
Constant portal sound.
there are ladders in the house so..
Also a portal can be easily turned on and off a number of ways.

Animal sounds can be silenced too. 🔫🤣
Your chests are accessible from outside, if you play multi-player that's gonna be an issue

Put fence gates in front so mobs won’t be able to walk threw
When you go in nether portal build a decent structure nothing fancy around it and it will be safe from mobs coming through
