Hey, Wayne. Glad I found your channel. I don't think we've ever met but I am a long time semi-pro mandolin player in the Nashville area and I'm sure we have a lot of mutual friends. I've always admired your playing but was drawn here by this particular video. It's disgusting how many people are teaching as the NNS, the archaic system where 2, 3, and 6 are always minor and 7 is diminished. It's not surprising that your experience is the same as mine in that the numbers in NNS are ALWAYS major unless altered by a suffix. Thanks! I'll keep checking back for more goodies!
Glad you found WWoM. Stay tuned for a video that documents a recent recording session I played on. It gets a little deeper into the world of charts......
One of my bandmates(has "real" musical training) is always on me to do charts("lead sheets", assuming there are synonymous) using chord names. I like this system(Nashville) more I think. Thank you so much! So glad I found this channel.
Thx for the kind words! I prefer the numbers too. If you playing a recording session this is a must know system. Be on the lookout for a video on the session topic. It's coming soon....
I’m strictly a mandolin player and have had some trouble understanding this system. This video has helped me so much! Thanks for uploading it!
You're very welcome!

It was so much easier when I was a singer! haha! I am not ready for this yet. But I will revisit this video again. Thanks.
