- I've decided to become a full-time RUclipsr. It's a risk, but I need to do it. In this video, you will learn stuff about me that I've never talked about and you will come to understand why I have to do this. It's now or never.

I've been with you for a while. In those early videos, you were not very confident in your ability to do what you wanted to do camping out. Now, you are one of my go-to people for quality camping entertainment. Your journey has provided me with moments I'm not likely to be able to experience myself, so thank you for your effort.
Well Jay in a small way I can relate. I walked out of my full time job in 1997 at the age of 41 to go to work for myself. It was hard financially the first couple of years. Yet I knew in my heart I had made the right move. Hard to believe it’s been 27 years now. I hated working for someone else. I expect you feel the same way. Good luck ole boy. I’ve been subscribed now for years and resubscribed several times as RUclips a few months ago kept unsubscribing me from some of my favourite channels, yours included. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

Yes!!!! So happy for you Jay!! I worked for a newspaper in the 1980's and it was very stressful. I finally got the nerve up to take a leap of faith and left my job to go back to school then built my own business. I've never looked back! What attracted me to your channel was your creativity.

I live in FL but a native to the northeast. I get nostalgic in the winter for the snow. I crave the absolute silence of a nighttime snowfall. This is when I watch you most. My other 2 go-to channels, I watch all year...I enjoy watching them build our expand their cabins, tap for syrup live off the land a bit. I look forward to watching you more!

I completely understand what you're going through. I was a business owner for 15 years. Move from the city to the country side 3+ years ago. Lost my brother 3 years ago. My world shifted.... 1 month ago started my RUclips channel. Making videos about my small wood cabin I built the same year I lost my big brother (who was my best friend). I hope one day I can make a living out of it! I've been following you with my old RUclips channel for couple years. I really like what you do. You are inspiring! I hope you will stay on RUclips for a long time!!!

I grew up in Alberta Canada. My dream was to never be in winter again. I moved to Colombia south America. I was thinking of starting a RUclips channel about living here. Good for you for following your dream.
Good for you Jay! The most important thing in life is doing what makes you happy. I just left a career driving tractor trailer for 16 years to persue my dream of being a small engine mechanic and opening my own shop in the near future. It's definitely scary leaving your comfort zone but I believe the rewards will be worth it. I thoroughly enjoy your content and I'm looking forward to watching this channel grow! Cheers

you know you are a vested RUclipsr when a person like me can watch you yak on for twenty minutes and you still held my attention. I'm a bit of a shut in, so watching you hang out in the sometimes extreme frozen wilderness is letting us live vicariously through your adventures. You seem pretty comfortable in that frozen landscape, I would for certain always be panicking about what could go wrong...if your sled didn't start. wild creatures visiting... etc...I for one will be watching your channel watching you cook up some of those northern cookstove dinners.... keep 'em coming!
