Today I'm showing you how we did a DIY furniture makeover for Baby Girl's Nursery. I wanted more storage for the closet so we did a hack and upgrade of a Cube shelf to make it look more Mid-century modern Cube Shelf. Ikea kallax is also the version that a lot of people use. I bought my cube shelf from target .

Even if Target does have a new line that's similar, there's no way the quality is as good as what you've done by wrapping with real wood. Good choice on the stain color! And Nic is so funny. :)

Great job on the redo of the cube shelf unit Lynette! Those look very out of the box, as they come so the wood adds warmth & that mid-century mod vibe. I remember growing up my Mom had a little bookcase with skinny legs and sliding glass doors- straight outta the 70's. :) With a little revamp it would fit right into today's mid-century look, but growing up I didn't appreciate that look. LOL oh how our styles & looks change. Now, I find myself so drawn to the mid-century modern vibe!

Lynette you need to order from Amazon you & Nick a set of those knee pads to use when laying flooring. Also to use for other jobs other jobs around the house.. Sure makes it less painful on your knees. I like your choice of the shades of flooring tiles.. Home remodeling takes time & of course money. GOD BLESS

My husband and I bought a farm housefixer upper in New Hampshire in 2016 (with good bones) but totally out dated.... It's a labor of love but it means soooo much more to me knowing we have done all the work ourselfs... Very grateful my husband and I have some skills 😁😁. BTW LOVE the diy shelf's....we might try that for my sons big boy room when we have another little one!!!

Oh my Goodness, it’s amazing! Love the rug, the flooring and the cubes! I agree, doing it yourself does mean more, and the legs on it are perfect. Still love the color of the closet, too -it’s just right! Plus, you two crack me up, so I really enjoyed the video. I bought a 16 cube organizer for my grandkids bedroom for toys. We just put up Board and batten all over our huge bedroom and we did it ourselves and it cost us around $650 and it looks Beautiful. You should look it up and try it if you like it. We painted ours a med dark color of gray below and white up top of the board and batten
