I am Chinese, the bus in the video exists no more now. The project turns out to be a failure in mid-2017. We do not believe it anymore. People need to know this fact.

It should be noted that the U.S. has a huge radio telescope dish (Arecibo Observatory), but it is smaller than China's, and uses older technology and is in disrepair. This is significant because it is not unlikely that extraterrestrial contact will soon occur, and the Chinese are now best equipped to engage in such contact. Gotta go for now; gotta get back to improving my Chinese language skills.

Jaap Van der molen Usually have lorries go on road approved streets and not allowed on certain streets. This is China tho deliveries are being done by smaller vehicles due to narrow streets.
Even if they can't. It still save space.

So it’s easy in fact To do so ! Anyhow project it’s no safe enough being a bit dangerous for Chinese traffic ! So they cancel it ! But was a good idea and perhaps in future will return to it ! Need a good traffic discipline to do that !

The bus is brilliant. Semi trucks may have a bit of a problem but centers are designed different there than here, here it is random China not so much and as things change even more distinct area.

The bus thing was ok but that camera system knowing your every move and recognizing faces are a bit too much, that goes directly against privacy laws
But also will make you feel safe because the chance to get robbed or other bad things will be very minimal. You can't hide. I prefer such system than privacy. You have your privacy at home. That's enough.
I was in China in 2012, based on how they drive I would find it hard for the elevated bus to work without several accidents.
