I’ve been watching Be Amazed for years, almost since the beginning. You’ve always been a go-to when I’m bored or in need of some quick entertainment. This past year or so however, I’ve began to watch more and more videos while I work. They provide pleasant background noise and sometimes enlighten me with a little bit of cool trivia.
I just want to celebrate how far you’ve come. In the past I would’ve been reticent to trust anything I heard or saw on a RUclips video, especially from this channel, because I saw it as little more than sophisticated click bait. That may have been true then, but I realized recently that your videos have more depth and quality to them than you’d find in most videos on RUclips. And although I’m still reticent to trust anything I see or read online, I’ve come to feel that you guys aren’t trying to “hype up” history, incite panic, or spread rumors. It seems that you’ve become more genuine as time has gone by, and I for one am thankful for that.
I don’t know if I’m beginning to appreciate the work you put into them as I grow older, or if you’re genuinely maturing and the videos reflect that change - or perhaps a bit of both. Either way, I’ve taken this channel for granted and it’s time I stopped doing that.
You guys are making great videos, and putting a ton of work into them, in ways I don’t think I could. You’ve matured from your clumsy roots to become a staple of RUclips. The two are just about synonymous in my mind at this point. So, in case you don’t hear it enough: Good job. I appreciate the value you add to my life and I’m glad you’re making entertaining videos the way you do. I hope to see more as the years go by. 👍🙂

Might be slightly off-topic, but I'd include bulding-moving here. The so-called Savvin's House, Moscow, in particlular. The 23000-ton building was moved for 50m with inhabitants still inside, structural integrity and all. The operation itself took place at night, and it is said that none of them even woke up along the way. Not a long haul for sure, but the sheer mass calls for some respect.
A cool fact about this incredible feat. Is that a little girl inside the building built a tower playing the night previous. She fell asleep and woke up the next morning and her tower survived the move without being scattered everywhere. Incredible.. over 100+ buildings were moved and this took place in 1939.
I lived in California for years and used to see those wind turbines everywhere, but I had NO idea the blades were that enormous. The truck drivers moving the blades from point A to B deserve paramount respect for their driving skills.
This is the mastery of humans to create such machinery that many of us take for granted. And still it pales to the comparison of of the human anatomy and physiology.
@@mitzikolo No, they were called savages because they scalped and killed people of other tribes, just like African American tribe lords sold their own tribesmen for some guns and luxury products. Not saying westerners were saints during colonization, they were equally savage if not more, but to say that locals "lived with the land", hugged tree's and sang kumbaya before they got colonized is far fetched.
As for humans inflicting irreversible damage to this planet. What the hell are you smoking. How do you come to the conclusion that a flock of tiny ants are actually capable of damaging a planet let alone the one they live on. The only "major" impacts humans have had over the planet in the last century are a two nuclear "disasters" and some nuclear tests along with the acceleration of global warming. Both processes are natural occurrences and solve themselves over time with or without us. The only thing humans have damaged is each other and the human living circumstances of the future. Life will go on without humans since it has done so the last 6 ice ages, our architecture will outlive us and this planet itself definitely wouldn't give a rats ass either way if it were given a conscience. On the same scale, due to western and technological advancements human lives in the past, now and in the future have been/will be improved a million times over, and the only thing that could ever halt that is a nuclear holocaust. Being able to transport structures on this "grand scale" is definitely due to the mastery of humans over technology, and this will only increase as time moves on.
@@mitzikolo They haven't gone extinct because of the human race, they have gone extinct because of a temperature change which is caused by an irreversible natural process, this would have happened with our without us like I said, the only difference is we sped up what the planet would eventually do. Why the hell do you think I am bringing up the ice ages? because this entire process from CO2 being expelled in the air to the temperature going up and our planet becoming warmer to it eventually being covered in a layer of ice due to air pollution has happened numerous times in history. This is not a process we have the power to cause or control. The eventuality is that 99.9% of all live you know of will disappear by the time we reach the next ice age, whether we even exist by then? who the fuck knows. But after the matter is over, life, this planet, the next irreversible cycle, will not care.
The planet will not "repair" itself, it is just doing its thing, with or without us, which is why I'm telling you its ludicrous to even begin suggesting we can actually harm "the planet" rather than our own way of life. This do green do better crap isn't created by emphatic emotions showing mercy from our own hands to a giant piece of rock, its fueled by our own selfish or selfless instinct for survival, because its being threatened by natural causes which we are trying to solve.
As for scalping, many native American tribes scalped, many tribal communities in Indonesia before Dutch colonialism did worse, Australian aboriginal tribes had their own violent wars. Your image of some grass eating humans carresing animals and singing to the moon is shot. For as long as people exist/have existed and have a conscience that contains greed, they will kill, rape, pillage and wage wars. Aboriginals aren't excluded from that list, neither were the Inca's, the romans or the hundreds of thousands of other civilizations and tribes on this planet before they met western colonialism. The only thing that has ever had the power to change that is the creation of modern civilizations and the impact ww1 and ww2 had on our behavior as a civilization. This is why you can type what you want on a forum without getting speared in the back, human effort, mastery of science and applications of it and our own created historical events that teach us how to live together. You know, that which you detest because you have the misconception the grass was always greener on the other side, which it wasn't.
@@mitzikolo I'm from the Universe that understands that most of those "problems" have 0 effect on the rock we live in and won't damage it in any form or way, that most if any of these problems are caused by third world countries and will solve themselves over time as technology progresses to provide for their people's needs. And that for every species we drive to extinction due to human interference for the sake of survival, 10000 more are driven to extinction for the exact same reason by other species, natural disasters, migration, global warming and other natural circumstances that disrupt and modify the food chain.
Again its asinine to think that every extinct species can be saved or put to death just by our whim. We are not the ones who turn the cycle, just another cog in the wheel who's lasting effect is inconsequential in the face of time.
As for urbanization, its not something you can avoid. If you want your young to not die to starvation you need to allocate adequate farm land and create jobs for said young to buy their food. If there is only so much space to go around then something needs to die in order for other life to live. Even if all humans all of a sudden embrace the risks and start reducing their carbon footprint by living like hunters and gatherers like they did 10000 bc, it would still take its toll on the opportunity for other life to live. This is a rule that all life on this planet must follow, not just humans.

It’s another time of the year. One need to set goals and take a bold step in achieving them. Remember success are not obtained overnight. You have to stop procrastinating and try that you have always wanted to improve your life and wellbeing. Investments will take you closer to that your dreams.

@@veeragrawal2976 From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly, if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $505k in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy. mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

@@veeragrawal2976 My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in. plus i don't do that by myself. i follow the trades of KAREN GAYE GRAY. She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial adviser as her diversification skills are top notch/ I say because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis. unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along. my portfolio just mirrors what she
trades and not just on some particular industries of my
choosing.

goes down, companies buy stocks back cheaper by introducing some "disaster" Stock rises after a disaster
and the cycle repeats.. Having a good entry and exit strategy, will make succeed in the stock market.
I used to be a project manager for a company installing communications towers. While our towers were only up to 20m long and a couple of tonnes, I've seen my fair share of thick bush, narrow windy tracks and steep muddy farm hills. The logistical challenges were all part of the fun.

-40F is -40C. It's easy to remember, because that's to point where the scales meet up. That's a lot colder than the just slightly chilly -4.4C.

2 things :
- I Witnessed the departure of the transport of a completely disassembled Airbus A380 - a huge convoy requiring 6 or 7 specific transports (2 wings, head, mid section, tail section, and 2 huge containers of spare parts) from Langon to Toulouse, France.
- I didn't experienced but closely followed the transport of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse.. A complete brick building they transported as-is 100 ft or so inland because it was getting way too close to the shoreline. But the preparations took a couple of years because the building is quite fragile and had to be lifted in one piece.
They were all epic!! I love these kinds of videos. Ive seen those windmill blades being transported by truck. It really is a sight to see. Incredible!

i saw them move the Zebulon Pike from the Arkansas river to one of the lakes in Missouri. They welded wheels on the hull and towed it up HWY 65. Fun to watch ! The boat was named after the explorer whom Pikes Peak is named after
Shipped in the beginning of January, and got there in mid February. My Wish order must have been on that boat too.
It's baffling how much construction has developed, but its got me thinking. How many injuries/casualties have their been in these constructions.
Where I live here in Houston has been the center of several of these. Anything of this type of size if not made internationally was manufactured by a Houston based company especially if it is a petro chemical contraption.

You could take a look at big hauls during ancient times. The Stonehenge builders, the pyramids in Egypt, the stone statues on Easter island and so forth. And an honourable mention of vikings lifting entire ships upstreams rivers.

A single wind turbine blade significantly exceeds the diameter of a helicopter's main rotor 🚁😲 A 90 degree turn with that on a trailer is extremely rare to witness.

I was once involved in the transport of a 747 fuselage that went from Ft. Lauderdale FL. to Bethpage NY. It had the tail and wings removed. I had to design three cradles to fit the underside. The fuselage was secured by steel cable to the cradles. It was then trucked a few miles away to a barge. On the barge the cradles were welded to the deck. Most of the trip was by barge then finishing up by truck. The entire move took over 7 days. The fuselage was then converted to a training station for space station simulation. It was all very exciting to be involved in. With some research you can probably find out more details. Best I can recall this was around 1980. Grumman Aerospace was in charge of it all.

@@David.Harris Lol When I was around 11 years old I went on a road trip with my dad and we played a game of spotting out of province plates. When we reached Lloyd I was near freaking out at all the Sask plates. That's when I learned it straddles the border with Saskatchewan. It all made sense from there.
I've seen the body of the windmills in Adams New York on big trucks being driven to Lowville New York. If anyone wants to see the huge windmills take route 81 to exit 42. Take route 177 to Lowville NY. They're pretty amazing & a nice trip.
I saw the flash TV show when Barry ran up one of those wind turbine blades to save Iris. And those get transported around dubuque iowa quite a lot and I was right next to one of the blades on a truck

This has to be the one comment section I can actually speak on lol there's one error in your video, specific to the blades being hauled on extendable trailers portion. Some newer trailers are considered "self steering", but it actually requires a steerman for the odd turns it can't make on it's own. It's my whole job. I'll try to answer any questions if you have any.
