Thanks for the video, John (and thanks to Edwin). I'm really enjoying my L7. My only complaint was that it arrived with the nut slots cut so high that it was almost unplayable. I had to pay a guitar tech to recut them, which was a bummer because it took two weeks for him to get to it after being on backorder for 8 months from Sweetwater. Oh well, I'm happy now 😊.
Hold up.I've come accross an old vid of yours from the way back. You described the perfect Strat. The Strat Fender doesn't make, remember?. That S7 LC was exactly down to the pickguard your fancy. John, John and finally John
Never thought you'd lose the S7, since we all need a Strat pickup around for those times. But you still have the Nashville Tele at least. L7 sounds great and looks great! Now I wonder which unfortunate guitar will be going out the door.
It will be interesting to hear the Comparison between the Sire & the Gibson...& the PRS! For me... I'm a Double Cut Dude, so I'd be reaching for that PRS every time.... just my personal prejudice! 😉
How about the weight from the L7 vs the Gibson tribute? I bet that is a lot lighter. I played a goldtop L7 and loved it but did not buy it because of the Weight of the L7.
Great video John. If you tried out one of the budget FGN guitars at some point called the Boundary series that are about 500-600 pounds that Would be really cool, plus you could compare them to the Sire models and see the comparison. I've heard that they are absolutely brilliant guitars for the money. An all made in Japan guitar for 600 pounds? is it too good to be true?
Wow the Horseman made the guitar sing. They may be the perfect pair. Now I have to go back in your previous video to hear how the Gibson sounded with the Horseman. I do remember I loved that sound also.
This is great! I just bought same guitar and last few days I am comparing HB SC-550 Deluxe (with Tesla's and locking tuners) vs Sire L7. Both very well built and beautifully sounding guitars, although Sire is built bit better. I still have to decide which one stays...
I've had two, sent them both back. The bridge and saddle were too close together. The strings were touching the back of the saddle just waiting to break and not much room to intonate, either. I was told to top wrap it but that didn't suit. Lovely build but not for me.
People used to watch boxing; now they watch unboxing.
🎯 😂
The long awaited vid. 😂 Have fun with it mate. I am very happy with the S7. It was a good swap. 👍👍👍
Wow great trade for both you gents...this is what the brotherhood is all about...rock on you 2...
I am liking the look and sound of your beautiful new guitar.
You really had that "New Guitar Day" grin in this video, John. These Sire guitars must be nice to play.

5 years on, I guess my tastes have changed 👍
I’ve got the Goldtop and White versions of this excellent Larry Carlton guitar 👍
Neck pickup @ 4:05 sounds great to my ears.
Sounds like it takes gain well, maintains clarity and a nice bit of top end 😎👌
Has a great crispness to it John. Really nice guitar. 👍
Sounds good and looks amazing.

Hey mate, you get great tones mate. Sorry for the many questions, are you running through reaper or pc tools on your DAW?
Cheers. Yeah, a little bit of delay & reverb added in Reaper. Just using the native plugins that come with the DAW 👍
Sounds killer! Looks fab, too!

Side by side comparison coming up next week mate 👍
I like the brightness. Not what I would buy a H/B guitar for though. Seems like you can get the full range of tones though so a win I would say.

They sound great but I find the rounded fretboard finish a bit weird ? Fussy old Hector 🤣
Nice guitar, £4-500, was thinking of getting a Vintage - may have to look at one of these now 👍

Surprised you didn't go for the P90 version
This was the one I had the chance to get though 👍
What a fantastic video I am not having a good day John
Sorry to hear that mate
I love the sound of other people playing telecasters, but I hate the sound of me playing a tele..
Bloody nice that, John. Approx 500 smackeroonies. Bargain.
What happened to your Les Paul Gibson?
Still got it 👍
👍🏻👍🏻
I have a guitar I would send to you to review, then you send it back? would you be interested John??
Always interested in checking out a new guitar. Drop me an email jrguitartuition@gmail.com
Cheers mate 👍
bye bye Gibson Tribute?!!🤔
Nope 😀
