Oh my gravy ArnieTex, thank you so much for sharing. I smoked what all my thanksgiving guests called the best turkey they’d ever had. That smoky flavor is probably the best part of what I made. I also added 2 large chiles en adobo to my salsa & 3 to my meat mixture adding to the smokiness. I also carmelized some onion & garlic then added that to my avocado sauce. After sautéing the salsa I cooled it & added about 3Tbsp of minced cilantro & another fresh diced tomato. This recipe will become my staple for leftover turkey every thanksgiving
Just found your channel. I love to cook and your recipes are straight forward and you do an awesome job of explaining them. I love your personality too. You seem like a guy I would enjoy having a cerveza with.
I cooked some this past weekend with fresh pot of frijoles and Spanish rice was totally awesome, I toped mine off with queso and hatch new Mexico green chilis. Was a bit spicy. Thanks you for the recipe.
When I was about 17 I was thinking of something to eat soI fried hotdogs in the corn tortilla, I cut the hotdog in half to make more. I ate it with mustard and Louisiana hot sauce, I still eat them today. It's a flautadog
Arnesto, that tomato sauce looks glorious. Do you have a video on that? If not please add the recipe to your notes here. Excited to try those fluatas. Those look fat enough to smoke!
Horale Arnie.. you are letting everybody know Abuelitas special method and dance. Pura Vida Carnal and also try with some potatoes and or refried pinto beans and then its a surprise when you bite into one
Why wait for the leftovers...I'm gonna make some up with fresh, out of the oven roasted turkey! I did make some with the leftover turkey a few years ago, but THIS year, I'm placing some alongside of the smoked turkey, & they should go like HOT cakes! My wife suggested using a cranberry salsa as one of the condiments that she's got a recipe for, & that should take them up an *Xtra* notch!
I just subscribed to you Arnie !!! I love the floutas My wife and i just made them tonite after thanksgiving. The bomb 💪🏻. You rock bro. Keep em comin ‘ !!!!
My problem with taquitos/flautas is the filling always comes out of the ends into the pan. Maybe yours stuck together better because you mixed in oil, aromatics, and tomatoes. I'm usually using plain shredded chicken or ground beef. I've thought about using some kind of binding agent before, but just wasn't sure what might be enough vs. overkill or might change the flavor and consistency too much. I'll try your way next time.
Yummy, I'm a little confused though between Flautas and Taquitos... I'm in Southern California and ALL my Mexican/Hispanic friends and Restaurants in my area say Flautas are made with Flour Tortillas, Taquitos are made with Corn Tortillas... I'm just saying it gets confusing when "trying" to learn the Language when the "traditional" cooks aren't all using the same words to describe their dish.
Use what you like and don't worry about semantics or words or what others say it should be called, different regions call them different things and some use flour some use corn so don't over think it. Call them whatever you like, I call them good lol. Sometimes people just like to argue about what so and so said or their grandparents said or taught them, that's all good but it's not the exact same everywhere, again just make and use what you like and be happy. Thank you
I agree 💯 percent. But, i use flour tortillas. Because the corn ones are way to small from around here. I, wish someone would make big corn tortillas. Because, I like the better taste of the 🌽 corn or Mezza Tortillas. Hey brother, thanks for the recipie. My name is Dustin. I love good, spicy food. I'm Islanos. Peace brother. Hit me up sometime. Ill share fine recipes with you in return.
As someone who is in the military away from home, your recipes are a blessing. Keep it up brotha 🤙🏽

I khoe them as flautas but taquitos isn't bad to say ... I always say flautas
I know them taquitos dorados and flautas is cause they are longer 2 taquitos and 1 like a flauta
San Diego California
I just call them tacos dorados, (flauta style or the tradicional 🌮
I'm gonna call them flautas when I make em for guests cuz it sounds fancy, and taquitos when I'm alone cuz I'm simple lol
🔥 my mom made some turkey taquitos and I ate like 10
Making me hungry
Wow wow wow, tyvm
How much oil did you put in the pan? A knuckle's worth?
I put enough to cover middle of the flauta. You don't want to cover them in oil.
I like crema and salsa on my salad.
Now I know what to do with my leftover turkey!
lunch tomorrow
Thumbs up
❤ yum
Do you use corn or flour?
I've got left over chicken in the freezer now 😊
Can I cook these in an Air Fryer?
😀😀
What’s the difference between flautas and roll tacos?
It's almost four in the morning and I can't sleep. I'm hungry. Watching this is pure torture.
Only 4 I could put away 10 easy

I love you Arnie
watching you eat might be as good as the cooking part. LOL
Thank you!!
Rolled tacos covered in cheese
We love your channel Arnie! It's our go to for that authentic flavor ❤ Hug Momma For Us
Not taquitos?
Arnie so stingy with the onion though hahaaa. (where the rest of the onion go?) Just kidding ill mind my business.
Too bad my leftover turkey is all white meat and very very dry to make up for anything
Thats not a FLAUTA thats a TAQUITO, FLAUTAS are made with FLOUR tortillas🤭 What are you MEXICANOS in TEXAS cooking up over there?😆
I really need to quit watching your videos. I have already gained like 200 pounds in an hour of watching a few.
