- Electric estate cars aren't exactly popular at the moment - there's just not many on sale right now. Of course, there's the MG5, while at the other end of the spectrum there's the Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo - and it's a bit of a stretch to call the Porsche an estate, in all honesty.
Step forward, the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Electric. This could be the most perfect and rational electric estate car on sale and it's the first in a flurry of 'leccy load-luggers which are due to hit the market in the next few years - Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW and Audi all launching spacious EV estate cars.
But has the Vauxhall got what it takes to pique the interest of British families? I find out in this first drive review.

Another great review, nice to see a new Estate car rather than another new SUV.
£45k can get you a Tesla Model Y too. Longer range, better tech, better charging experience and more luggage capacity.
Always loved Astra & owned quite a few but no more!!! Ridiculous prices way out of my reach..Nice looking car but way way overpriced like all vehicles today so they bloody keep 'em! 😂
Good upbeat video. Fully integrated battery packs must compromise the car to the life of a single battery.
Great car and i'd much rather have this than an SUV but its extremely expensive.
