The Ghostbusters battle a giant incarnation of their logo that is wreaking destruction on New York.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Two paranormal researchers (Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy) join forces with a nuclear engineer (Kate McKinnon) and a subway attendant (Leslie Jones) to fight off a slew of ghosts that have invaded New York City. Eventually, they come face-to-face with an evil entity who can control human beings. Chris Hemsworth co-stars as the ladies' hunky receptionist. I’m surprised no other Ghostbusters project used the logo ghost as an antagonist.
Why? Tho it’s to project the ghost as if the ghostbusters caught it

It’s a logo, not a piece that should just be used as a villain because the creators couldn’t think of anything original. It’s literally not really creative. It’s more creative if they made up a full blown new villain like in ghostbusters 2, with the evil painting guy.

I appreciate the animation detail, but I myself just can't see Mooglie (those unaware, yes, that is the name of the No-Ghosts ghost) not being some sort of gooey, squishy material after watching him stride in TRGB

Iconic Because it sounds like they are trying to hard to make a joke, it would have been funnier if they left it at the shot, but pointing it out makes it a little less funny. For example, when your friend tells you a joke and then they explain it, it’s not as funny as the joke by itself. Big🧠 🙃

Finally got to see this when it aired during "31 Nights of Halloween." Gotta say, it wasn't earth-shattering, but it wasn't horrible either. I'm sorry I missed it the first time around.
You watched it on TV for free at home. Pay for 4 tickets and go into this expecting the sequel fans waited 25 years for and you'd feel differently.

Personally, I thought the movie was fine. I enjoyed it enough. I'm also not a GB fan. I've seen the original two films but never had an attachment to them. Not a franchise I'm passionately into.

@Jack Wentrich The Two Original films would have been PG-13 as well by today's standards. Majority of the movies that receive PG today would have been G back in the 80s and 90s. Frozen for example. That would have been G by 80s and 90s standards.

Here's to the one unpopular comment to be made regarding 2016 Ghostbusters... the Director's Cut wasn't actually bad. I only watched that version since it was made available ON DEMAND. Remember when Cable TV and ordering films on-demand was still a thing? At any rate, the Director's Cut actually explained a few moments that got cut for the theatrical version. As for the final battle, I actually liked the visual of a time-shifting TIMES SQUARE. Seeing various advertisements and regional store fronts had me pausing the fight sequences for Easter Eggs. How many fellow New Yorkers remember WOOLWORTH'S? Or John Lennon declaring WAR IS OVER? Even Ernie Hudson's Twinkie quote pops up on a billboard! They even dropped an F-bomb when hearing the price for the firehouse. To each his own, I suppose...

i have mixed feelings about this. I've heard it tries way too hard to be funny and progressive but ive also heard the cg is great and action is good. So im debating breaking down and watching it
The thing is that the movie isn't progressive at all. Which makes it really strange why progressives were defending it so much. All the characters are one dimensional stereotypes. There is a soup joke that they keep going back to that isn't funny at all and is really just one long fat joke. The character is overweight so she keeps talking about food. Funny right? Dear God...

I understand what you're saying and I mostly agree.
I support the complaining of this movie because It teaches studios and directors that they need to produce compelling content; that they cant't just slap a popular name on something and call it good.
Speaking of popular name: While I'm not as much of a fan of GhostBusters as others, I can see where the disappointment in fans comes from. They didn't do justice to the brand and it seems like this was a forced piece to empower women and make money.
As for the actors. They're well off: the actors here all have good credits under their name and could've chosen a better movie. They know what they signed up for; they red the script and promoted the film. I will agree that people have taken the insults towards the actors TOOOOO far----there is no reason to insult them anyway just their choice of movie. It is mean and disrespectful how they're being treated especially Leslie Jones.
