Hello from the USA! I'm interested in starting growing astrophytums but I'm curious to know if they need direct sunlight or something like a shade cloth?
Right now I'm growing a few opuntia cactus and some succulents and I want to include astrophytums in my collection.

Hello,
They can grow with direct sunlight, but they won't look good. If you want them to look their best, put them under a shade net (Shade net should be at least 50%). I also use a UV plastic sheets to protect them from rain.
Astrophytums are beautiful cacti. There are a lot of patterns, forms, and hybrids available in the market. Hopefully, you'll enjoy taking care of them. I've already created an Astrophytum care guide; you can check it out on my channel if you're interested.

Can you do a video on how to buy variegated astrophytum asteria?
Like which variegation to avoid, what they'd look like in the future and which one's to buy.
Thank you for your suggestion. I usually buy Astrophytum asterias with scattered variegation. I avoid specimens that don’t have a complete variegation in all the ribs, and also those that have a large bulk amount of variegation on one side.

Hello, can I cut flower buds to make the cactus focus on growing faster?
Hi, yes you can cut or remove the flowers. I usually do this with my succulents and aloes that are up for repotting.
Can't afford kaya mga tinda ni Fairy Unicorn. 😭 Super expensive. Pero quality naman kasi.
Baka po mga collector’s item. May mga mura naman po sila. Abang-abang lang po talaga kayo. Ngayon po may christmas sale, ang pinaka-mura nila ay tig 25 pesos po. Mga tlines na Gymnocalycium.
@@theplantprinceph Siguro nga po. I was only a couple of weeks po into the hobby when I stumbled upon Fairy Unicorn's live back then po eh. Tapos natiyempuhan ko pa yung mga tig 5k-30k++ na prices nila at that time. Hahahaha. After that po hindi na ako ulit nanood ng live nila.
Sir if you don't mind me asking po, magkano po ang price range ng mga nakuha niyong Kikkos from them na nasa video po na ito? Right now po kasi, Kikkos po ang goal ko pong i-add sa garden ko in the near future. 😅 Para po magka idea lang ng mapag-ipunan na po.

Price range ng mga ‘kikko na nakuha ko ay Php 250-350.
