My cousin got married on this lake! haha, almost brought my truck pole out and fished the shore while at the wedding. Glad you can get out bass fishing during the winter I need to upgrade my setup to somethin like that!
Lol I've been out on that lake like 20 times while a wedding was happening. I might have been out there! A fishing kayak goes in the back of a truck pretty damn easily, don't think I could recommend something more 😀
I have seen some people on the Old Town FB groups have the smaller little buddy heaters they use on the kayak. Could probably fit in some type of cup holder on the rails. Nice trout you got, no skunk!
That smaller one would definitely be the way to go! I used this one for trying some bank fishing last year, and always wondered if it would work. It got cold enough for me to give it a shot. I'll have to get the smaller one at some point though. Having it on the rail mounted cup holder would be crazy good. 🚫🦨!
caught a trout !! fish is a fish !! 👍You need to get a little Toyota p/u or something like that ?? I appreciate your tenacity & dedication !! Keep at it !!
Tyty! This lake has is giving me a good lesson in patience for tournaments 😀 I should hear back about my car this week, I'm thinking it's 50/50 for being totaled. If I could find a truck, that would be the dream, especially one that doesn't get like 10 mpg :D but having the 8ft bed length and the room for rods was pretty crazy. I guess a shorter bed with an extender would be fine, see lots of people using those. I've been looking at some toyotas :D
@@NWTrailSeries Don't feel too bad, that lake is not known for a lot of bass, or bass of any size ! You've done very well there !! Plus everywhere slows down in the winter. Once the air temps dip below 45 degrees it's really tuff ! I have a truck with a 6' bed.. with the tailgate down, my boat hangs out about 3 ft. I just flag it !!
Hmm I haven't even thought of one of those. Would definitely be a lot easier than the big ole gas heater lol It's getting colder faster than I've been able to upgrade my winter gear
Just picked up a pair of Aftco breakwater waterproof gloves. They seem pretty thin and still fleece lined, you may want to look into it. Also, Kokatat has 25% off their semi dry suits, which are almost a safety necessity in the winter. The suit I have is on sale for $600, which seems like a lot but if you watch any vids on what can happen if you fall in, it really is one of the most important things you can buy. I highly recommend one when going out in water below 60°.
I almost bought those gloves a few times! Kept being sold out of my size. I'll take another look on pay day. Ive been looking at dry suits like crazy. I was gonna pull the trigger and just do it, then after wrecking my car, had to put everything on hold till I figured out the total damage there. But yeah, I felt the water on this video and it's jumped way down. Probably in the mid 40's now. You'll see me in a dry suit soon asap!
There are a good number of small truck options out there that get really good fuel mileage, I have a Chevy Colorado and I love it, the Toyota Tacoma is one of the best trucks on the market, lots of other options out there for ya if ya decide to trade in your car in the future.
I've looked at both in the last few days. I still haven't heard back from the shop/insurance. Lots of time to look at new vehicles. The truck my dad is letting me borrow just had the alternator go out this morning 😅 Having a run of luck here lol
I keep forgetting about trying one! Im having second Thanksgiving today, and my bro has always been a huge ned rig fan. I'll try and get one from him to try it out next trip. Ty for that tip, I've basically been making my jig a ned, but after all those missed hook sets.. I'm ready to try the real deal
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

I'm doing the same!
Gonna try out a ned rig and finesse jig, and hopefully find some luck
You got this my friend! No skunks!
Im watching this right before i go and kayak fish myself. its definitely not warm lol wish me luck!
If you catch a bunch of fish, it will keep ya warm! That part was tricky for me 😀
People keep saying ned rig! Ya may wanna try that out
Fall time fishing is a good time to cover water, grab a crankbait or jerkbait, and keep moving until you find them!
I'll have to try a day throwing just them, ill give it a shot soon!

Try a Ned rig! My friend caught a 2lber and a 4lber in February on one.

@ nice, I use up to a 1/4oz head this time of year since I’m fishing 20-30’, hope you get some on it!
