Hey, I found another fix that worked for me. It's very stupid. Sound settings>sound control pantel>recording> choose your mic> properties> lower the level to by 15 or 20%. It's as if the last few levels in the volume just completely fucks up the whole thing. This worked for me.
Yo i may have found a solution which he didnt mention, he did mention the realtek audio console application in de the comments, but once u open it up, hit the microphone tab and then the second kinda text is if your voice recognation is fully off or on, mine was off and i selected the ''improve voiceregocnition''.
this actually helped me, ive been having my internal audio recorded by my mic only in discord, but turning down the mic boost on sound settings helped me, thank u so much
I had this issues for MONTHSSSS on end. After contacting Microsoft and Getting troubleshooting steps from them and like 9 other specialists from there. I FINALLY found a fix for it.... (FOR MY SITUATION AT LEAST) I had to buy an adapter cord for my headset. It was an Audio Jack insert through the front end of my PC. but after buying the adapter and plugging it through the USB import in the front panel. It somehow worked. The only advice they gave me, was to buy a new headset or to somehow manage to get an adapter for it.
@@wardogggg no, it was because I needed to use the provided Adapter to plug it in to the FRONT of my PC. So instead of using the Audio Jack (like you would plug it into your remote) I used an adapter that converts it from that Jack to a USB input.
fuck man, my 3.5mm ports are broke and ive been using a usb adapter for years. now having echo issues. not the first time ive had to replace this shit. fuck pcs
@@visserin instead of buying a new one, make sure the 3.5 mm male insert is securely plugged into the usb. If that doesn’t work. Try all the USB inserts for your pc. Sometimes the USB DRIVE can go out of date. AND/OR the actual insert Plug-in for the USB can go bad.

i tried everything even from your first video. i downloaded the latest drivers. i installed realtek driver from my motherboard's manufacturer (i have gigabyte) and none of them still worked. all it did was lower the recording level of the playback from my computer. im so frustrated with this. this has been happening for a long time now.

For those for whom none of this worked, what worked for me was uninstalling Realtek driver, but with DDU, it si a small program that wipes clean audio or video drivers. I suggest that you learn of to use it before doing anything, but it saved my life, it made me crazy. Then let Windows and Windows update reinstall it.

I'm using the Asus Rog Zephyrus g14 laptop the fix that worked for me was searching for "Realtek Audio Console" Go to "Device advanced settings" Under "Connector Retasking" make sure ANALOG is set to "Headphone" and not "Headset" I assume its cause with the headset profile enables it creates two microphone inputs but idk its weird and that's what worked for me I hope it works for you too :))

Strangely that Part 1 worked for me for the past weeks, after that my mic is picking up pc background sounds again Now Part 1 and 2, didn't help for me...I decided to uninstall my Realtek driver then restart my computer and after restarting, it automatically uses windows 10 had some built in driver iirc called speakers (High Definition Audio Device) *It worked*, the mic doesn't pick any desktop background noises/sounds...however I can't use my front panel audio of my system unit since I uninstalled my audio driver P.S. *Before Uninstalling your Audio Driver, Make sure you can reinstall it*

If you use a headset with Y-cable attachment attached to the BACK panel, just remove the speaker out port and leave the mic in port still attached. 2. Next, attach your extra headphone/earphone in the speaker out port on your FRONT pc panel. This will somehow "trick" it. 3. You will now perform the sound test using windows Voice Recorder. Open the application, and try to record with playing background sound/music while speaking to your headset mic. After that, listen back to your recording. It should not record the background noise but only your voice. If that is the case, It is done. 4. Lastly, put everything back to your original setup and perform the sound test again to see if it works. Your speaker and mic is now 2 different devices. I really hope this worked with you guys.
Yeah, none of this worked. I guess my microphone is just connected too closely to my headphones speaker? Because no matter what settings I change, I'm just getting the audio of this video detected by the microphone. Even when it's in the off position, it still gets a little bit of computer audio in the microphone.
i go to a discord call and i can hear my friends perfectly and they hear me too but it just disables all other apps like: youtube,twitch... i watched one of your vids on how to fix that but it didnt work does anybody here knows a solution for that PLS?!
Edit: Turns out that there was something stuck in my audio splitter that was blocking me from putting the headphone jack in all of the way. It fell out when I tripped on the cable, and now when I put it in all of the way this problem is fixed and the audio sounds better (maybe it didn't even give me 3D audio before?? IDK) The reason why the other headset splitter I tried didn't work was because it was made for the wrong headset standard. Iv looked at multiple videos thus far and I still cannot fix the issue. The only thing that seems to fix it is indeed the USB connection however with my new headset when i use the USB my voice sounds strange. So now i have to choose between good voice audio and desktop audio getting through or no desktop audio getting through and crap microphone quality. Iv considered buying a new adapter for my Jack cabals to connect to. It seems no amount of setting editing works for my issue.
dang my guy had a mic upgrade after the previous video good job so i use voicemeeter banana and i hooked up my mic as one of the hardware inputs in voice meeter i thought it was the voicemeeter's problem but it's actually the mic driver picking the system setting
(for RealTek) I was scared when this thing happened with me okay..... so if still nothing happens then you should set realtek array as your default mic...... that helped me so it may help you and this is nowhere on the internet....

Turns out i had the same problem as you. Nothing worked until got a headphone with the usb becuz the headset i was using was just a jack and it kept picking up all audio from pc through my mic. So annoying and honestly should be fixed somehow.
Now I'm incredibly silent and I have to yell for someone to hear me. I turn up sensitivity and my echo goes through the roof. D: --- Nvm I'm good now. May or may not have uninstalled my realtek audio accidently. So just reinstalled it and now i use push to talk. I have to get new headphones that don't have a microphone and headphone jack all in one. Also just turned up my mic in the audio manager thing so people could hear me more clearly. Video actually helped :D
I use a separate usb to connect my headphones, but sound settings is picking it up as speakers and not headphones, which really bugs me because I get low quality.
None of these kind of videos work for me. However after uninstalling all audio related to my earphone (Realtek Headset and Realtek R Audio), Restart, everything goes right
Just resetting the discord audio settings solved my problem 🤡 (I spend my entire afternoon doing things like messing around with drivers… your previous fix and stuff…)
Turning off special sound worked for me thanks a ton man I ended up avoiding calls because of this reason and now I can call again!

Also under Headset Microphone Properties, if your microphone has any at all boost, completely move it back down to zero. That fixed my problem! :)

guys one more.. go to the sound control panel, then advanced, then the change the format, it said cd quality and I changed it to studio quality

it still doesnt work, i tried both videos, and it still didnt work, i think its a bug with discord, but, when i used the actual application (because i normally use the website) it worked, and plus, when i called on the website, it never happened before
Me and my friends have been playing elden ring and i got used to playing souls games on controller. I connect my controller but the only problem I have with discord, is that I can't hear my friends talking, I can hear everything else except for my friends talking
my headset is like picking up the audio from like anything and is like sharing it through discord

@cowmunism dude i tried both video's settings, my ingame audio in valorant is still picked up from the mic and its kind annoying for both me and my friends. can you make one for valorant or sum?

@@saratous8883 yeah i guess so, i believe its either the exclusive control we give the app, or the games audio processing program not optimized for low level devices or drivers. im gonna take up an old laptop and mess around with the drivers and game registry and drivers and see what i can do. if anything helps i'll let you know. *perks of being a techno geek lets me understand and help my self in helpless situations XD*

Hi everyone! I think ive figured it out! You have to somehow "tricked" the sound driver/software to think your headset with mic is 2 different devices. You will need an extra headphone/earphone (with or without mic) to achieve this. This is how i do it :
1. If you use a headset with Y-cable attachment attached to the BACK panel, just remove the speaker out port and leave the mic in port still attached.
2. Next, attach your extra headphone/earphone in the speaker out port on your FRONT pc panel. This will somehow "trick" it.
3. You will now perform the sound test using windows Voice Recorder. Open the application, and try to record with playing background sound/music while speaking to your headset mic. After that, listen back to your recording. It should not record the background noise but only your voice. If that is the case, It is done.
4. Lastly, put everything back to your original setup and perform the sound test again to see if it works. Your speaker and mic is now 2 different devices.

Iv looked at multiple videos thus far and I still cannot fix the issue. The only thing that seems to fix it is indeed the USB connection however with my new headset when i use the USB my voice sounds strange. So now i have to choose between good voice audio and desktop audio getting through or no desktop audio getting through and crap microphone quality. Iv considered buying a new adapter for my Jack cabals to connect to. It seems no amount of setting editing works for my issue.
dang my guy had a mic upgrade after the previous video good job
so i use voicemeeter banana and i hooked up my mic as one of the hardware inputs in voice meeter i thought it was the voicemeeter's problem but it's actually the mic driver picking the system setting
(for RealTek) I was scared when this thing happened with me okay..... so if still nothing happens then you should set realtek array as your default mic...... that helped me so it may help you and this is nowhere on the internet....

Im so frustrated everything is picking up, my ingame sound my teams voice they can hear all of it i dont wanna use push to talk anymore and all of this method doesn’t help

Turns out i had the same problem as you. Nothing worked until got a headphone with the usb becuz the headset i was using was just a jack and it kept picking up all audio from pc through my mic. So annoying and honestly should be fixed somehow.
Now I'm incredibly silent and I have to yell for someone to hear me. I turn up sensitivity and my echo goes through the roof. D:
--- Nvm I'm good now. May or may not have uninstalled my realtek audio accidently. So just reinstalled it and now i use push to talk. I have to get new headphones that don't have a microphone and headphone jack all in one. Also just turned up my mic in the audio manager thing so people could hear me more clearly. Video actually helped :D
when i go in the sound control panel my headset isnt in the playback tab, it says that im on speakers even tho im not

I use a separate usb to connect my headphones, but sound settings is picking it up as speakers and not headphones, which really bugs me because I get low quality.

None of these kind of videos work for me. However after uninstalling all audio related to my earphone (Realtek Headset and Realtek R Audio), Restart, everything goes right
Just resetting the discord audio settings solved my problem 🤡 (I spend my entire afternoon doing things like messing around with drivers… your previous fix and stuff…)
