Thanks, Charles! I'm glad you liked this tutorial. I'll definitely keep making more sculpting videos. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment! Cheers, Kevin :)
Thanks, Frank! I'm glad you liked that trick. It definitely comes in handy...even in other scenarios when you need to "clean up" a body. Cheers, Kevin :)
Thank you Kevin! This is one of the best tutorials, clean and yet detailed. I like these series much as they are a mouthful at a time with a very clear objective! The Web part is particularly informative!
Thanks, Sun. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. I'll be doing some more sculpting videos in the future...showing some more neat tricks. Thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment. Cheers, Kevin :)
Hey Kevin, I've watched Part 2, its a really good tut, so much information to take in. I'm going to have to watch it again to make sure I take it all in. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Georgette. I'm glad you're learning a lot from this. Watching them over again can certainly be helpful in reinforcing the concepts. Cheers, Kevin :)
I've been curious about how to really use the sculpting tool, and your video was a perfect introductory explanation. All of your videos are excellent - informative and well-paced. Thanks for all the effort!
Thanks, Mike! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed this one. I'll be adding to the sculpting playlist that I have...so you'll want to check here for the latest sculpting videos - bit.ly/sculpting-playlist Cheers, Kevin :)
Hey Kevin! Thank you so much for the video. I would like to add something that I did differently. When I was adding depth to the web, I flipped it and there was no need for splitting and adding an extra rib.
Thanks, Bob! I'm happy to hear you learned something new. Please don't hesitate to comment on any of my videos should you have any questions. Cheers, Kevin :)
You deserve more views and subs, your material it is a HUGE helps for the ones like me that are starting with Fusion360, thanks alot for this material man! best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
Thanks, Alfredo! I truly appreciate the kind words. The channel will continue to grow with awesome subscribers like you! Keep at it. Cheers, Kevin :) p.s Please send some warm weather my way! lol
Thanks, Savio! I'm glad you enjoyed this. To help me create more Fusion 360 content please subscribe and share my videos with others looking to learn Fusion 360 for free! Cheers, Kevin :)
Thanks, Dennis! I'll be doing more sculpting tutorials in the future. Here are some others that I've created - bit.ly/sculpting-playlist Cheers, Kevin :)
And again: Wonderful tutorial! I have one wish for a follow-up: I would be interested in your detailed opinions and strategies on how to 3d print something like this! So for instance: What orientation would you print this? I could imagine printing it with the opening facing up, lifted slightly from the build plate with some supports. (Mainly to save time and filament) I would be highly interested in your considerations!
The webbing at the end was very interesting. I seem to run into problems with ribs and web pretty often. Hopefully this will help. I liked your solution for cleaning up with web with split body. Question: If you didn't happen to have a copy of the main body shape available, how would you clean that up? Can webs be made as new bodies so that you could use combine/intersect?
I really like the tutorial as it is useful. i would like you to make a tutorial for soft goods like Bags and etc. Thanks a lot for make a good video like this which it's very helpful for beginner.
Hi, Sakol. First off, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on this tutorial! I'm happy to hear you're enjoying and learning from them. In all honesty, the nature of F360 is probably not the best-suited software for soft goods. I'd typical recommend using something like Blender (free and open source) which is built with free form meshes. This modeling type is much better for really stylizing soft goods while allowing them to appear soft. Cheers, Kevin :)
Hello, First of all thanks for the amazing content that you provide. Been going through almost all the videos and learned a lot. Unfortunately I'm a bit stuck in the Web part of this tutorial. When I try to build the web I get the following error: "The curve you are selecting does not intersect a solid body. Select another curve." Tried to find the solution online but nothing pointed me to what might be the problem. Could you let me know what are your thoughts on this issue? Thanks again for your help. All the best, Rick
Hey, :) Thx. What's not to like with all this? Web & Rib/Strut are always difficult for me to grasp, i.e., what/which are required essentials. Yeah, more like this, of course. :) Thx.
Great tutorial, keep them coming. On my model after using the split tool to clean up the ribs mine is showing an outline of where the extended ribs were located. Kind of strange as your model doesn't show like this. If I switch to shaded view it's fine, just curious what would cause this. Thanks for producing these tutorials!
Hi, Randy. Are the outlines appearing out in space away from the model or on the actual model itself? Would you be able to share the link to your file or a screenshot? This ones hard to answer without seeing it. Cheers, Kevin :)
@@ProductDesignOnline Hi Kevin - The outlines are similar to how the inside ribs looks like at 16:02, an embedded outline. I redid the tutorial and it came out fine so I did something a little different in the first time so no sense wasting anymore time on it. Thanks for responding.
At 6:54 when i try to create the rib i get an error "the curve you are selecting does not intersect a solid body. Select another curve." I've tried this 3 times and get the same error each time. When i change the view slightly i can see that my line isn't even touching the extruded tab but i have no idea why since it snapped into place each time i had drawn it. Any ideas?
Hi, Superhero Armory. The only thing that I can think of is that it's not on the correct sketch plane. Did you select the side face of the tab after using the section analysis tool? If the sketch plane doesn't seem to be it... let me know. I'd be happy to take a look at your file to see what it could be. Cheers, Kevin :)
Autodesk should be paying you for creating instructional videos for them.... your videos are shorter (which is good), more straightforward and organized. Thank you!!!!
Hi Hareesh. I would recommend using the Autodesk Authorized Partners search to find an Authorized training center closest to you - www.autodesk.com/partners/locate-a-reseller Cheers, Kevin :)

Hi, Brandon. Great question. Yep, the combine feature would likely be the best approach if there were no other body to utilize.
Really good, Kevin. I'm curious about the process you yourself followed to achieve your impressive level of mastery.

Great tips, using the web and rib. I don’t see for ribs sketch is lock. Is that ok? I always try to lock all sketches.
