should I get it? do you run 4 batteries with the add on cable to run them or do you run just two batteries with it. bc I saw vid that you can get this cable to connect 2 11.1 volt batts to one lead and the same for the other lead giving you 6s or do u just run 2 6s on each lead? or just two 11.1v to each lead giving the least amount of speed?
@@DronemanJoeRc I run 4 -3 s lipos in series to make 6s to each esc. I'm not sure that's up to you. A new release might be around the corner....

Knew it was just a matter of time before you got this boat to test , impressive runs only thing I've heard was that the fiberglass layup was much thinner wonder how that will hold up in a 90 MPH flip...
Thanks! I'm not sure.... I've seen hulls break at 60mph and I've flipped some at high speeds and they survived. I did some reinforcements to this one from the get go though, so hopefully It will hold up if it decides to grow wings and fly.
Ive read the stock hulls are thin and they break fairly easy when they wipe out. Apparently Proboat is looking into it. Nice runs👍
Thanks! I did do a few minor reinforcements to my hull but the seams looked great tho.
@@MrMad2424 What kind of reinforcements did you do?
Only 2 part foam along with epoxy has been brushed on the seams and the battery tray mounts have been reinforced, that's it.

Hello again my friend just to be sure could you please tell me if this is correct. 2 batteries each side in series and then in parallel to the esc?
Perhaps a photo?
2- 3s lipos plugged into a series cable and then plugged into the esc. The boat has 2 esc's so you need 4 batteries (2) to each esc plugged into a series cable. Do not use the factory series cable. watch this video and it explains it for you. ruclips.net/video/4oQiNtxmlbA/видео.html

I would add 2 1 inch by 1 inch weights in both the left side and the right side of the hull tips at that speed the boat will air lift out the water at the lightest wave
I've got 108mph with mine so far. A couple of strut adjustments will help keep the nose down.

What is your strut position? Yours seems to run very flat and holds to the water well. Mine at high speeds wants to bounce. Makes me nervous to go full throttle.
depends on the prop choice and how many batteries you run. but. with the stock props and 4 3s lipos lower them down a couple degrees fr
Is there some led lights that we can install under the boat to light up the water?
I'm sure you could install the strip led lights if you wanted to.
Where do you get the small bags to house the small electronics in the beginning?

Hey man I just bought the zelos 36 and I was wondering if you could post the name and model number of the props you are using from dasboata??? Pls
These were abc 1716-17-45 but the 100mph plus props i was running in my 108 video on here were called "Super geico"
Thank you so much. Nice videos, fuck man that boat is pretty fast..
Wow that boat is crazy fast. I have a Traxx car but haven't had it out in years
Thanks!
Mr. Mad, love the video...I just bought a 36 Miss Geico and it runs good but, I cannot get it to stop porpoising around 45-50mph. It is all stock with stock props. Primarily running a 4S battery to each ESC. But also porpoises on 6s. I have shifted batteries rearward and forward (all the way forward and back and everywhere in between), but that doesn't seem to help much...still porpoises. How do you get yours to run SO flat?!? Did you adjust strut angle? If so can you tell me what you adjusted it to? As the boat is now, there is now way I can even hit 60 mph without it bouncing out of control. Thanks for any tips
The boat needs to be under a substantial amount of power to run decent with the stock props. Yes I had to change angle of the struts with the stock props. I can't remember what was the best settings for them I really only tried them a couple of time before changing them out for different props.
@@MrMad2424 Thanks for taking the time to reply. I admit I am a newbie when it comes to RC boats. I can see how aftermarket props would help improve top speed and acceleration , but how can they actually improve the hydrodynamics of the hull itself (porpoising problem I have)? I have heard that "blue printing" the ride pads on bottom can get rid of porpoising...so that might be my next step. There seems to be very little information on RC catamaran tuning, setup and theory on the internet. Thanks again MrMad!
Awesome video man, I’m planning on buying one next week. 😉
Thanks Appreciate that! You'll love it.

How does this boat compare to your 41" Zonda? If you had to pick the better of the two boats which would you pick? Also what battery setup have you had good luck with.
Both good boats. The 41 is obviously larger. The 41 is better in straight lines and the 36 is better in the turns. Bothe great boats.
Thank you sir! I like both and I'm struggling to pick one of the two, I still have no idea on battery setup though any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm done with speed runs. They are too taxing on the battery and have too short of run time. I'm in it for the fun factor. If I can get 55 or 60 miles an hour and have a 12 or 14 minute run time I'm happy.
Yes it definitely takes a toll on batteries.
Fantastic 😊👍

Awesome I just bought this boat can u tell which datalogger to buy and garmin same as urs please
Nice! I used the Garmin Foretrex 401 and the Dynamite Gps logger in this video. Look for the garmin on ebay and the Dynamite on Horizon Hobby website.
Nice rig! I have the Zelos 36 (original model) I thought about buying this version ONLY IF the issues have been addressed. Are the Motor mounts more accessible and the cooling fixed?
Same motor mounts as last version except these have rear supports. Cooling isn't a problem on this version due to the longer and more powerful motors, they don't overheat.
@@MrMad2424 Thats all i need! Im going to go ahead and pick it up. Look us up if ever in SLC area. We have an awesome pond in West Valley.
@@MarkHahn Sounds good.
What are the differences (aside from the props) of the miss Geico and the plain Zelos 36 twin? I know the motors are 1900 kv in the miss geico where the Zelos Twin uses 2000 kv. I think the ESCs are exactly identical as well but not 100% sure. Is the timing in the ESCs different? Or are the flex shafts different? I don't really need to make my Zelos Twin faster, but I'd like to get a speed run a time or two out of it. I plan on getting 3 blade props, polished and balanced, on it. I'm not set on keeping stock diameter or running a mm taller. My ESC stays in very low 100's and upper 90's temp right now so I know I can get more out of it reliably. My next run I am going to bump the timing up just a bit to 3.75 and give that a try. Advancing the timing will make the motor hotter but get more speed. I'm not going to run it with that timing if the motor and/or ESC temps get over 150 on stock electronics with stock cooling tubes. Like I said, I don't really need more speed, I'm just doing some changes to run less throttle steady to keep the same speeds. I haven't run any speed runs yet (don't have a GPS unit yet), but am pretty sure it's doing 60-65. My Unlimited Desert Racer runs 49 on 6s and my boat is definitely faster by a lot. My buddy runs a Traxxas M41 Catamaran and it's rated to run 50+ stock on 6s but the Zelos runs just a bit slower on 4s power. Thanks for any input MrMad and keep up with the videos.
Thanks Lane! The flexshafts, struts, motors, props, motor mounts, are all different. Flex shafts and struts are about 2 inches longer on the Geico. I've got 90 with my Zelos but only one run. Mostly it's high 80's. The Esc on the Geico has different cooling inlets to flow more water. The motors are significantly more powerful on the Geico as well. I wouldn't go with 3 blade props on the zelos. Good luck with it.
@@MrMad2424 The only reason I want to go with 3 blade props is for holeshot speed, I know it slows it down top end. I've only had the Zelos for a month or so now, I've been researching a lot of different things to fine tune it for the spot I run it. It's pretty choppy. Next nearest place for me is about 35-40 minutes from me that is a lot smoother. I want to tune it more for the choppy waters I typically run it on and I need fairly quick acceleration. I figure I can fine tune the top end a little more afterwards. I'm also only running a 50c lipo which works well. The two 6 cell lipos are quite a bit heavy at 836 grams each so you could imagine I need the punch of the three blades to get it up on plane in the choppy waters as soon as possible. I'm curious why you think it would be a bad idea for the three blades? You know more about these boats than I do, so I will take as much advice as you are willing to give.
It's not necessary a bad idea for 3 blades but I just don't prefer them on CATS. With a set of pro prepped 1716's the boat will almost backflip from dead stop. I prefer 2 blades on Catamaran boats.
@@MrMad2424 lol. I know what you mean. If I nail the throttle, my boat jumps out of the water completely. The first time I seen it I just nailed it real quick to get it moving forward and seen it jump from the water. I thought to myself "I probably just hit a wake or wave" then did it again with the same result. I do want to polish and balance my stock props and keep them to change out if I feel like just cruising or putting around. I've seen videos of the techniques to do such and I feel like it's a fairly easy thing to do, but still would like a set of professionally done props. Thanks again for your input.
No problem.
I'm looking to purchase this boat as my first rc boat,is it a solid choice? Have a wonderful day indeed
It's a good boat but its a twin and you need to understand adjustments and what adjustments for this boat. Not really a beginners boat but it is a good one.
Did you polish or grow your boat with wax? Then it may be faster.
No. haven't done that.
im thinking about getting this and dropping 2000kv motors into it. It would probably overheat the esc on long runs but should do short runs with amazing speed
2000kv is what the old zelos had in it and it was 100mph slower than this boat. It all depends on what type of 20ppkv motors you put in it. Just prop down and no heat issues at all.
Do you adjust timing at all? What height are your struts usually set at for speed runs ?
Timing 0° to 7.5° struts depend on props and battery combo i run. but normally a degree or two down is pretty close.
Well if it's got a different props on it.its not stock just saying..
Thanks for watching! It's stock with abc props.

If you have any suggestions or there might be a way to run this approximately that long I would appreciate any information you might have. AWESOME videos by the way 👍
@@vileleprechaun3428 No way at all to run for 40 minutes. No electric boat period will run much more than 15 min and that's the small toy grade boats. Wait a min... I take that back...Maybe you need a rc sail boat...haha. Good luck bro.
@@MrMad2424 Thanks again man. My math was off lol 20 minutes +/- a few is roughly what I'm looking for. I will keep shopping and see what I can find. I appreciate the information.
@@vileleprechaun3428 No problem.
why dont you show the props....
You can see them in some of my videos. You can order them through dasboata though. best to email him at dasboata@aol.com
What props!?
Dasboata custom props. best to email him at dasboata@aol.com to see if he has the gieco props available or not.
Hey this was stock or did you upgrade?
All stock with only dasboata props.
@@MrMad2424 i boat it today. I won't run it until I get the right performance batteries, any suggestions.
@@anthonyluke6043 Run it stock. 4- 3s Revolectrix 5,000mah batteries work good.
@@MrMad2424 thank you going to place my order now
@@anthonyluke6043 order these two series adapters also. Throw the one away that comes with the boat unless you only run two batteries. You will blow everything up if you use it with 4 batteries. www.amazon.com/Connector-12awg-Battery-Adapter-RC/dp/B07W97GX8J/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=ec5+series+adapter&psr=PDAY&qid=1602635374&s=prime-day&sr=1-5-catcorr
What batteries
I normally like to run SMC, Revo, and Gens Ace mostly.
Where can i get a prop like u mention
email Chris Hoffmann at dasboata@aol.com ask for super geico props. They are for speed runs only though.
@@MrMad2424 thanks
