    I've been using a little bit of adhesive to hold my Teflon liner in place. Alot of times the Teflon liner spins in the stuffing tube at high rpm, the way the flexcable is twisted/wrapped cable acts like a screw, unscrewing the Teflon liner out the stuffing tube onto the collet in return binding the cable to failure. A small amount of e600, silicone, loc-tight marine adhesive, I've even used thin CA in a pinch.. doesn't take much to hold the Teflon liner in place, remember you'll need to remove the Teflon liner later on so "less is more" in this case..... hope this helps

      This helps out a lot brother and make sense too. I thought I snapped it from going full speed to neutral on the trigger. I might of even bump the reverse a tad which I thought I heard in the video. I like your second reply as well with going larger diameter on the cable in the stock stuffing tube without the liner. Thanks for the support..!

      Thank you sir. The liner goes in so tight that it seems like it squeeze the sealant out. I will give this a try. Thanks for the tip.

    Another remedy is to upgrade the cables to .187 cable 3/16 shaft, if you run a larger diameter cable in the stock stuffing tube without a linner it's less moving parts to let loose. .187 cable can be run in the stock stuffing tube without a liner, I've done this to my Ul19, veles.... less maintenance

      I will have an update very soon.. All went very good with getting it fixed up.

    Looks like the Teflon liner broke loose and the shaft spun it up into the collet and bound it up. Happened to me a few times, i usually just ditch the liner and go with a thicker cable when it happens. Those liners are a pain, guess they keep water out better but can cause other problems like this and require a smaller flex shaft to use. The cons kinda outweigh the pros. You get her fixed? If so, she running good now?

      I didn't get it fixed yet but I do want to ditch the liner.. What size shaft do you recommend..?

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  Год назад

      I sure did. I made sure of that on all my boats after each run.

    Dang. Well I just picked one up this afternoon for $400 nearly new. I'm sorry for that prop lost. Kinda makes me wanna tie a magnet on a rope and fish for props at my local rc boat pond lol

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  Год назад

      It sucked to lose one of my $80 props but at the end of the day it was my fault. Just be sure you install the shafts in properly after greasing. The right shaft spins ccw and the left cw. If you install them wrong you will end up frustrated. Check out this video and it will explain it all. ruclips.net/video/poQKf04Nwd4/видео.html
      There's also a proper way to install the props too. Twin motor boats is a lot diff then single.

    All ways run a $2 collar on the flex cable so you don’t loose expensive props

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  Год назад +1

      Thanks but if the shaft snaps or unwinds and breaks, you will lose the $2 collar too right? Either way I have another video out that this fail was my fault.

      Yes sir.. It's what this hobby is all about.. I'm going to order the upgraded shafts from ose or possibly go with larger shafts. That's what I love about this hobby.. Endless possibilities..!

      I'll report back in the next video. I'm pretty sure it was my fault but not sure. Horizon wanted me to send the boat to them but instead asked them to send me the parts so I can fix it myself. They agreed and parts are on the way. I'm not sure if I still want to leave it stock or upgrade the shafts yet.

    For the money you pay for these boats you should never have to worry about this kinda crap! One reason this hobby turns me off. I just want to play not rebuild the boat. Sometimes I think these boats aren't thought out enough in the design. All I read in the comments do this do that. How about getting it right before it leaves the factory. Now that's an idea!

    • @nwirc
      @nwirc  2 года назад

      I understand what your saying. This rc hobby isn't for everyone. I think most rc's are over priced for what you get. I don't mind if they break as long as the company stands by the warranty. Which so far I haven't had any issues. Either way I love the hobby in general.

    • @topgun5399

      @@nwirc well more power to ya. I find this hobby is a money pit. I have had truck, helicopters, and now boats. Tired of pouring money all the time and crossing my fingures that the day I play won't cost me money just my charging time. I think il go to wood working or metal welding. Lol

    • @VetteWay2Fast
      @VetteWay2Fast Год назад +1

      @topgun - parts breaking and fixing/repairing is kinda part of the hobby. I actually like working, tinkering and fixing rc stuff and that’s kinda what keeps me coming back. As far as things like this working reliably, they should but something this small spinning in the 10’s of thousand rpm’s is gonna break down occasionally. Par for the course
