    A lot of what you said is covered in the manual. At least for the Zelos. I can't vouch on that as far as the Miss GEICO, but would imagine the manuals cover the same things. I was wondering if I could run two 6s packs in parallel and you answered that. I don't think it's the best idea with the weight. When I purchased my Zelos, I bought two 6s packs for it. I already had a plan to run one pack at a time thinking they were wired in series together. When I got it out of the box and seen the adapter, it made me very happy I could run two packs separately. Two ESCs running off one pack would make for short run times, so I was excited. It is nice to know that there is still that option to run two 3s and still get 6s from it out of the box. I personally won't run anything lower than a high mAh 4 cell battery in this boat. If I wanted slow, I'd buy something slow. The Zelos speed is perfect to me and capable of more out of the box with the right prop. The things that kept me from buying the Miss GEICO was the price and the design. Just wasn't for me. I can get the motors and props out of the GEICO and make my Zelos the same, but I would have to remove nearly all the decals on the Miss GEICO to get the look that's right for me, leaving it drab in styling. I've only run my Zelos twice and I've already changed out the top bow sticker with a large skull vinyl instead. The decals running down the side I like and will be staying. Anywho, my batteries are actually meant for a plane, but are still the c rating, high mAh, and in a 6 cell for a good price. I run Admiral Pro 6s, 50c, 6000 mAh packs in mine. I bought the same boat for my brother because (just my luck) it went on sale $150 less than I bought it for two weeks earlier. I already had plans on buying him the Sonicwake, but got the Zelos for the same price. I bought for him the Admiral Carbon 70c, 6s, 5100 mAh batteries.

    I also bought one, must say looks beautiful on the outside, the inside of the hull leaves a lot of quality open, a lot of air and open pieces of fiberglass, very poorly finished on the inside, treated it with Kevlar so that the hull has its strength and pressure plates applied at the rudder and suspensions made everything water-tight. a lot of work but it pays off, it should all have been good in this latest version 2020 but is not the case.
    With an unboxing video, the inside Hull processing should also be looked at.
    The quality of the polyester Hull inside is definitely not quality worthy.

    Yes. This is a 6s boat. Think about it. It has 2 motors. Unlike rc cars has 1 motor. It’s 6s battery per motor. I recently got this boat and let me tell you. Super fun super fast. Sucks run time is less then 10 minutes. On 2 6s 5000mlh. But the cool thing I found out that doesn’t mention anywhere is that unlike other boats with 1 motor when your battery dies and it cuts off, this boat has the other battery that may have some juice left just enough to bring it back to shore. I had another boat with 1 motor and everyone knows when your battery dies it cuts off. So your either going for a swim or you have a way to retrieve the boat. Also with one motor running you have to run it very slow cause the boat with turn in circles with one motor running. Lol

    So I have a home made hull. Wanted to use a similar configuration to what comes with the Geiko in terms of motor/ESC/batteries. I have two 150A ESC's. When I hooked them each up to a 3s Lipo everything worked fine. But I wanted more power. So I tried 6s Lipos. I plugged the first 6s Lipo into one of the 150A ESC's and Pfft! Spark and smoke. The connector was fried. Might have also fried the ESC. What happened?? Please help!

    Why not just not use the series cable if it adds resistance to run two 3S packs. Why can you not just run two 3S packs in the first place to each ESC ?????? are the esc not receiving the same amount of power either way ????? it seems to me it's two 3S packs whether you run the series adaptor or not. What am I missing ?????

    Listen up!! Can you guys please make a medium size Brushless Boat with rubber inflatable sides all the way around?
    Tons of fast boats in the real world with the inflatable sides to scale from.
    The reason it would be a top seller is the fact it would be compatible and safe to run balls out in the swimming pool without damaging the pool. Especially us with inground pools with the vinyl liner. Summer is almost over so get to work.

  • @EmilWilkensRC
    @EmilWilkensRC 5 лет назад +2

    I dont see your logic behind running 3S in series (6S) having a lower speed potential compared to running two 6s packs in “parallel”... if overall battery capacity (kWh) and specs are similar, then there should be absolutely no theoretical difference between the two.
    Besides the assumption of power loss through your series splitting harness and loss through the additional connectors as part of this explanation, it is a somewhat misleading statement?

    • @markpulling12

      Me too ,Ive been doing rc for many years and don't see the point in the harness / lead thingamajig
