that is hands down the best looking 212 ever built!
I want one so bad
Its a 420
colbster54trains u sure
Ur right its a 212
Agreed. Have you thought about building motors for people?
FYI... if you take the 3 inch spacers down to 2 inches on each front wheel or slide the rear wheels out further on the axles, the front tires will bite more in the turns and help the maneuverability of live axle go karts. I used to race go karts. It's a small change with big results!
😅😅😅😅😅
😊😊😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😊😊
That thing is so clean looking, it should be made into its own class of go karts.
only trouble i see with this beautiful build is the leg room. why such a short wheel base? tube steel reinforced would be fine, make it comfortable
Too rich for my blood. I have to stick with rebuilding the Craigslist Specials!
Ryan Courts tell me about it
The only bad thing is its hard to find one on cragslist sometimes
Same thing here brother!!! Nothing wrong with that though!!!
Do more videos like this red beard, the entire build in one video
very cool build! 55 mph.... you could run shine in that bad boy.....cheers!
That motor looks good AF
Love the go-kart looks nice. But I 2 agree the frame is over priced and most of us can't afford it, because I was going to get one.
Keep up the killer video's
He's having so much fun can't wait to build my own
That's the best looking go cart I've ever seen
Good Job! Best build yet! Beyond just a great product, I can see a yard-kart class at local dirt-tracks for the these frames with a spec motor and tires as an inexpensive way to get into racing.
That is a great looking cart. Good job RBG. Sounds healthy too. I like the splattered look on the engine cover. Looks like that cart would be a blast to ride. Thanks for the video.
This is the nicest cleanest looking cart I have seen assembled: I am a neat clean minimalist builder myself. I like a clean functional look. With a lower wide stance. I haven't found a single cart until this one that nailed my style. Only thing is the paint job. I am in custom paint and finish by trade. I always kringe when I see no primer and true prep.
However it's just a kart. One mean looking Kart too. So I will let you slide on the paint
I have the valve spring compression tool made, but need to give you a few instructions on its use.
+OKIE CHOPPER I will try to call you tonight Okie
That thing is slick
The go.kart is so sick and I love the engine cover the specks
Forget the kill switch make it nos button! Lol
You should try a all out performance build and balance the engine to see how many rpm you could get and run on a dyno to see how many hp it can produce. Beings they have two oil drains I thought of using one to add oil filter and the low oil sensor hole to make a lubrication squirter also an oil cooler could be added.
They have no oil pump on the engines. If I had a charging system I could. The button was actually for nos lol. Later video
Red Beard's Garage I know they don't have an oil pump what I have in mind is a belt driven pump from crankshaft it doesn't need to be really big and not a lot of pressure just needs to circulate oil through a filter and oil cooler. I also was looking at using an old ford v8 smog pump for belt driven supercharger I believe it should pump air fast enough to create a little pressure.
This gokart looks better than most people's truck "builds"
+Drew Love thanks man
Those are some awesome looking tires!
I like the way it's built I have one that's very close its called a purple haze I have a lot of work to do on it somebody cut the roll cage off of it & the live axle everything is stuck on it I bent a lot of parts heating them & using pullers on the this kart has a jack shaft on it with the driven clutch on the left side and the right side is the small gear & the big gear is on the axle
I think this is the first video that seen where you guys are wearing helmets 😂😂
Them Fairview Baptist Tabernacles sure do build a mean go cart.
Mannnn. That engine looks awesome
Thanks man
Great job! Looking forward to the race against little red.
2.0 is awesome!
Farout these look great. Those upgrades really turn the fun up to 11.
That thing is sweet!! I bet those tires and rims cost alot of money. the frame looks like a older manco design.
+Jonathan Hohenbrink it's a remake of a manco
Dude ur hauling ass with that i really want to see RGB vs CNC or cars and cameras would be an awesome race
You make a great point about the price for the frame. Rb you've inspired me to start tinkering in my garage
Dude this guy builds some bad ass go karts all the time💯
How does having the front tires spaced out like that affect the steering/handling? I would have spaced them out an inch less than you did, just to keep the stress on the spindles down, unless it makes it handle alot better.
+16driver16 not sure I would have to compare it back to back to know
Actually for me I might get Trailmaster MB200 still and probably the Gokart but is knobby tires.
I like this kart's frame, gonna use this on my supercharged gx390 tron kart
I find really looks great I like the way that red makes it pop.
Nice job. A red go kart on red beards garage
I love the wheels heck the hole cart very good job👌
That is one classy gokart Greg. I just got my hands on a taotao 110cc atv frame for free. Going to be put a 212 predator in it. probably gonna film it and post it on youtube.
+Brandon'svlog do it man
What a sweet freakin cart. Looks awesome RB! The frame is sweet too.
you guys should do an e85 conversion on one of the karts or bikes
Nice job !!! After the build up on the motor do you still use the stock spark plug or do you change it, if so to what ? Tks Kirk
That cart was hella fast nice build
Really great build I personally love it
I'm looking to buy a Kart for my grandaughter. Have you ever heard of a "Shaller Go-Kart"? It has a Predator 420 engine with an electric start and a battery. It looks vintage, possibly from an amusement park. Anyway, it looks well put together. Not like the average kart. The guy is asking only $700!!! I think I'm gonna get this kart! IF I'm right, it may be worth a lot more than what he's asking. I wish I could upload a picture of it! Anyway.......Thanks for your Input Big Red! Keep up the good work
Can you make a video on how to build the engine you used in this video for the go cart
It's on the channel. Just look for 212cc engine build. It's also in a playlist
Still wondering why they didn't do the dropped front axle like the Amex and Dingos. Price seems crazy! Can find used Dingos and Amex karts cheap then do this to them. I have a video on my page of one I converted years ago.
Youre gonna love thoes maxxis, you'll never wanna go back to the go powersports ones lol
What I like to run on my quads. Maxxis all trek
Go power sports sells maxis
You went full freaking savage with that motor build man. I mean it's an absolutely beautiful machine, I take tell you truly take pride in your work.
+pogosticknick thanks man. There was a ton of work in this video
Red Beard's Garage how much would u want for this go kart build
very nice go kart man. I like the color you did on the pull start cover.
+Rod Tutt thanks man
Sweet go kart!!! I just came across your channel and new I had to hit subscribe when I saw the attention to detail even on the pedals with a bedliner coating and red circle cutouts. Nice! Can't wait to see what's next
+MRDJHOLLOWCOST thanks man.
That is sick af
Good video! I have been watching your videos trying to make my own go kart and now I'm hooked
+Charlie Martindale it is easy to do man. Thanks for watching
Aye Redbeard you know if you buy even a small residential wood chipper the motor is at least 1000cc and the torque on the motor would be massive
Awesome kart! This is the XL version correct? Have you tried gps for speedometer?
+FireAndGasoline this is the cxl frame. No but I need to try it out
The good thing about the gps apps is they work even if the phone dosent have service. So you can use an old phone and not worry about dropping it.
Red Beard's Garage: hey red beard i was wondering what you did with the 25 hp kohler engine? Did you sell it?
FireAndGasoline what app is that?
Jay Nicee there are a few, i use one called "Ulysse Speedometer"
Your thoughts are very beautiful
Perfect fun project for my everlast welder.
Nice! Awesome job on build and the links for everything! Instead of searching for parts click link and buy!
How much would the frame for the cart and wheels cost ? Wheels are smart
+darrin goodbrand frame is $450 and wheels and tires are around $350
Red Beard bro how do you hook up the kill switch and rpm meter please make video thanks I love your engine builds everything in-depth thanks man keepem comming I got into this then found your channel
I was dying at 16:12 😂
Dam its fast
I like the setup and the wheels. Also it has good clearance
Im maybe going to build a gokart like little red. Any tips? And what engine upgrades do you have on it?
+Eat My Moto Dust same that is on this kart
ok but why is this beat going unnecessarily hard
i like the engine sound
i like everything good Job
I got to try and duplicate that paint job on my go kart cause that is the coolest colors on a go kart I’ve ever seen
Love the vids keep up the good work
Thanks man
I love little red 2.0 very nice can't wait for next video
That go kart is nice. How did you speckle the engine shroud
+Justin Pate dip your fingers in paint and flick it
That engine looks AWESOME!!! Keep up the good work.
Thanks man
Where did you get that valve cover and how much did it cost?
+Davin Lyda Mr valve cover on Facebook
Would a manco dingo jacksaft/engine mount fit this frame?
+16driver16 I'm not sure.
hey red beard I got a question when the frames are out is it going to be the hole frame are ready build or u have to weld it together ur self
+Joey Ornelas you can but it either way.
love the cart , love the look but $300 shipping kills it for me
How much would this cost to build? Not including the mods he has done to the engine.
The kits are sold on go power sports now.
Red Beard's Garage thanks! I'm planning to build a similar go kart with my dad and a father/son project. Love your channel and especially the new and improved little red v.2 lol
Try bringing the front wheels in a little, it should get rid of the push
It grips good. The only time it pushes the front end is if you floor it when setting still and try to sharp turn.
Red Beard's Garage I grew up racing karts, I miss those days. Wish I never sold my last one, coyote wide track le with a Yamaha KT 100😢
I wish they would make a XXL frame.
Have you ever considerd using a flat head motor?
We have one we are going to use very soon. Actually two. A 8hp and a 5hp
Red Beard's Garage awesome! I'm in the process of turboing an 8 horse
Ever consider using lock nuts? Hate for you steering to all of a sudden loosen off.. Just saying.
Wooh wooh that's the sound of the police
I have a question have ever try building a kart with a motorbike engine, anywhere from a 125-250-450 or even a 600 Suzuki engine I'm just asking?
We want to just don't have the funds to get one yet
Awesome cart.
What is the best belt to use for a 30 series CVT. Which brand holds up the best?
I will try to find the model number and get it to you
Red Beard's Garage thanks man. I just rebuilt a Spider box and installed a predator 212cc and it turned out nice.
Looks great
dude the places you ride look just like Beech Creek Tn. of maybe Fall Branch where you might see some ol boy with a hot rod go cart or 4 wheeler :P keep up teh good work man the only difference is Fall Branch cops would not tolerate much go cart in the little burg they think is a city cause it has a Dollar General :) years ago we used to get away with that stuff
Yeah the cops really don't mess with us around here
Hey red on the latest red cart u built do know what cam is in that motor I'm actually building one that is very similar I got a few different performance cams but just curious good cam with a T/C being is that tc won't rev as high thanks
+Chris Haskell mod2. This one revs to 8k
That Part is Badass!! I have a Baja Doodle Bug with a Predator 212 motor on it, equipped with a stage one kit, and torque converter. The bike has maybe 2 hours of use! I'd like to put the 212 motor on a frame just like yours. What would it cost for the frame with the same tires you're using? Btw, I'm gonna check out the site. Thanks. Keep up the great builds!!
Is there a way to have the plans to build the frame?
Real nice
It's gonna be nice !
Use GPS test to get your top speed next time. Its free in the app store on android.
Cool vid of a good looking kart. Looks more like a "medium" frame to me though, I'd prefer another 8 to 12 inches of wheelbase. Something I'm curious about, would a live axle kart meant for pavement benefit from a differential?
+Butch S. If you could get a differential it would probably work pretty good.
Amazing video it's finally here
Do you have to weld the frame together
+Nickolas Nelson you can buy it either way
Awesome!!!! Have any ideas to get to a higher rev with a tc I haven't had the chance to have my high-performance motor wide open yet with the torque converter I think maybe 5000 with the clutch I've had it for seven and also do you have any ideas how to get some places out of a crankshaft my bearings went out because I didn't replace them after the first build going to install my new bearings now but I want to make sure my crankshaft is smooth or should I get a new one thanks a bunch
+Chris Haskell well as long as you have 18lb valve springs and no governor it should rev as high as you want it to
Red Beard's Garage idk will see can't wait just waiting on couple more parts and time to put it together
Only problem from 12/20 purchase of 2 Go-Kart Alley frames is that one of the frames didn’t have the throttle/brake cable brackets welded on. For the $600 price ea for a Made in America frame (as RBG mentions near the end of this video), there should have been Quality Control inspection either in from the frame vendor or on the way out of Go Kart Alley in Keller TX. So far, no response from them on what they will do to resolve this issue. I have to learn how to weld!
Red Beard, love your channel and your content. Love your builds to brother. Growing i never had a metal gocart. I had wood ones. Now im able to build one so thanks for a great platform for me to learn from. Thankyou sir.
How did you end up fixing the full throttle issue? Cars and cameras had the same problem, I’d like to know for a personal build.
Just adjusted the throttle pedal some till she got fully open
Red Beard's Garage thanks again man
I would drive that to work every day
I am trying to replace my tires but one of the wheels has rusted onto the axle, and I have already tried hitting it, shaking it, wd40, and blaster, anymore things I should try?
Wyatt Swasey cut then re weld if possible
+Wyatt Swasey might have to cut the axle and get a new one
Red how about building an Electric Kart and see what that can do please
+Moondyne .Joe already got it in the works
Excellent I have been waiting for some one of your build caliber to show us how to build one ! I live in a rural town in Western Australia ( built up not out on a farm) and I love the idea of as quiet as possible I am of the Don't see or hear me school and dont p*ss of the neighbors type
I cringe every time I see you go out on the Road in your karts
Tony
Do u think I could make me some pedal stops like u have on this kart ? And also what was the length on the rear shaft 36”
I cant remember the axle length I think it was a 40. The pedal stops are sold at go power sports
Red Beard's Garage
Ok thanks for the info
Great looking cart and very nice build as always RB! That engine sounds healthy.
Did you ever finish the Chopper project? I have the same style exhaust parts purchased for my Cycle Kart,
I was wondering how loud your project ended up with the Slant cut muffler
+ReverendBow I'm about to get back to it very soon. Just have been trying to get some bigger builds done first
