These priests (the Druids), Brahmins of India spread themselves widely through the northern regions of Asia even to Siberia itself, and gradually mingling with the great body of Celtic tribes (Kalatoya people to the south of Kashmir) pursued their journey to the extremity of Europe and finally established the Druid i.e. the Brahmin system of superstition in ancient Britain. This I contend was the first Oriental colony settled in these (British) islands”. (pp 246, Part 1, Vol. VI, 'Antiquities of India’).
      ~
"The Druids of the ancient Celtic world have a startling kinship with the brahmins of the Hindu religion and were, indeed, a parallel development from their common Indo-European cultural root which began to branch out probably five thousand years ago. It has been only in recent decades that Celtic scholars have begun to reveal the full extent of the parallels and cognates between ancient Celtic society and Vedic culture The very name Druid is composed of two Celtic word roots which have parallels in Sanskrit. Indeed, the root vid for knowledge, which also emerges in the Sanskrit word Veda, demonstrates the similarity. The Celtic root dru which means "immersion" also appears in Sanskrit. So a Druid was one immersed in knowledge." Peter Beresford Ellis - Historian and novelist.

The Greeks were always speaking of India as the sacred territory of Dionysus and historians working under Alexander the Greek clearly mentions chronicles of the Puranas as sources of the myth of Dionysus." Alain Danielou - 1907-1994.
      ~
“Is it not probable that the Brahmins were the first legislators of the earth, the first philosophers, the first theologians ? The Greeks, before the time of Pythagoras, travelled into India for instruction.”
      ~ Voltaire.

Nearly all the philosophical and mathematical doctrines attributed to Pythagoras are derived from India. ~ Ludwig von Shroeder

It is true that even across the Himalayan barrier India has sent to the West, such gifts as grammar and logic, philosophy, fables, hypnotism and chess, and above all numerals and the decimal system.” Will Durant - American Historian.
      ~
The history of how Indian fairy tales and fables migrated from one country to another to nearly all the people of Europe and Asia and even to African tribes from their original home in India borders on the marvellous. It is not a case of single stories finding their way by way of mouth ..... from India to other countries but of whole Indian books becoming through the medium of translations the common property of the world .... many fairy tales current among the most various people can be traced to their original home in India - A.A.Macdonell".
      ~
The oldest Greek writers, observes Sir William Jones, allow that their mythologies were not their own invention (As. Res. III. 467) ; and it is now certain that the early divinities and legends of Greece were the same that were possessed by their brethren in India. If Hegel calls the discovery of the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit the discovery of a new world, the same may be said with regard to the common origin of Greek and Sanskrit mythology “ The legends of the Old Testament - Thomas Lumisden Strange.
      ~
Mark Twain, American author: "India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only."
      ~
Will Durant, American historian: "India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all".
      ~
In the Vedic language we have the foundation, not only of the glowing legends of Hellas (Greece), but of the dark and sombre mythology of the Scandinavian and the Teuton" (Cox, Mythology of the Aryan Nations, I., 52, 53).

India - the land of Vedas, the remarkable works contain not only religious ideas for a perfect life, but also facts which science has proved true. Electricity, radium, electronics, airship, all were known to the seers who founded the Vedas.
      ~ Wheeler Wilcox.

Gravitation was known to the Indians before the birth of Newton. The system of blood circulation was discovered by them centuries before Harvey was heard of.
      ~ P. Johnstone
      ~
"This is an attempt to show that the Druids were the priests of Oriental colonies who emigrated from India and were the introducers of the first or Cadmean system of letters and the builders of Stonehenge, of Carnac, and of other Cyclopean works in Asia and Europe”. Godfrey Higgins "The Celtic Druids”
      ~
      Grant Duff 1789 - 1858:
"Many of the advances in the sciences that we consider today to have been made in Europe, were in fact made in India centuries ago."
      ~
“I take issue with the old school of thought that the cultural and civic life we Westerners enjoy originated in the works of Greek and Roman philosophers. Instead the mind and soul that inspired our words sprang from neither Greece nor Rome, but from an Indo/euro homeland located much further north. In truth according to my studies the history of we Westerners does not begin with the Greeks, we were invented along with the Greeks by Vedic poet seers through their mother tongue, Sanskrit, which evolved into Greek and Latin, which are simple phonetic variants of it.“ Franco Rendich - Indo/European etymology
      ~
Each of the fifty letters in the Sanskrit alphabet corresponds to one of the fifty petals on chakras one through six, from the base of the spine to the brow. The sacred Vedic text known as the Upanishads describe the ability of advanced spiritual adepts to actually ‘see’ the letters on the petals of the chakras. When a Sanskrit mantra is uttered, the petals corresponding to the letters in the words of the mantra vibrate in spiritual resonance” Author - Thomas Ashley Farrand

    Absolute madness starting 35:12:
    1. Hindus celebrate local history way more than he thinks. Aryabhatta was from Pataliputra, or today Patna, Bihar. We named a rocket after him. Shankaracharya from Kerala, PM inaugurated a statue of him in south India. Sushruta from Varanasi, Charaka from Kashmir, are literally brand names for herbal medicines. Our languages have idioms around Kalidas, Chanakya and many others. It is you who have forgotten your ethnicity and culture. We own it because they live through us. You can't pretend we are the same in one statement and then talk about regional differences when we seek to own our culture. Even the deep south follows Panini's linguistic rules and epistomology.
    2. Mahabharat was not a race war, it was fought between cousins. 🤦🥲
    3. Marathas did not destroy, thier irregular forces called Pindaris who were Muslims sacked and damaged the Sringeri Math( monestary not the temple) as they were paid in loot on first contact. They did not know the place was religious. Marathas punished the Pindaris and sent back the loot. There was a restoration not a reconstruction. They are all reading from the same hymn sheet of the scroll article but will never read the Swarajya mag rebuttal which provides primary references.
    4. Intentionally portray the cultural or linguistic identity as primary locus. How many wars were fought for a language or culture in India? Not even the most staunch Hindutva advocate calls India as a nation state under the suzerainity of Delhi or UP. It's a civilizational country like China with kingdoms that warred within it. Before the Hanification or China it was as decentralised as ancient India.

In India it is ok to take pride in your own identity and we respect everyone's individuality without enforcing a singular identity...And at the same time we are proud to be Indians...Greatest example is our Indian cricket team which is a microcosm of India, we have players from different religions, communities, languages and cultures that play as a unit.....

In India we had and have great historian. Soon after independence the documents of history were with Muslim scholars so they highlighted Mughals in our history books and ignored many important facts and dynasties of India. Besides all rulers get history written in their glory that may be very biased and untrue so we need to explore many other documents to get to the truth. One needs to explore volumes of evidence before reaching any conclusion.

The major flaw in Pakistani curriculum had been hatred towards Hindus which are also ancestor of Muslim population of Indian subcontinent. Indian books don’t have that in our curriculum. There has been hatred towards non believers since the religion came into existence and besides even believer can’t question any thing of their religion in recent scientific world. What would be best is to separate the two. No need to question religions but do science with questioning mind.

Outside India it is taught that colonizers did favour on the colonies made up of people who were not capable of self-governing. History taught in school will always be from the eyes of the ruling interested party. After looking at same historical occurrence documented from multiple vantage points ,if you will, one realizes the frailty of human mind. With globalization at play it is best to aware of all vantage points and then choose ur truth as per what will drive you today towards ur future. Future generation who will need to global fight climate change together will not care two hoots about the multiple versions of history peddled by various interested parties.

@@shahidkinnare The point is that the relationship between muslims/islam and destroying/disrespecting others' religions is as old as the prophet himself ordering polytheists to be killed in Yemen to destroy a competing Kaaba. The Pindharis were muslim mercenaries allied with the Marathas, when asked to attack Tipu they behaved in a way that is now considered expected behaviour from muslims and decided to sack the local temple. The hindus of the region were disgusted, because this was against the norms of war of the subcontinent (at least prior to islam) and the Marathas had to rebuild the temple.
Now this man is trying to pretend that religious persecution was common in India and practiced by the locals as well, for e.g. by the Marathas whereas all the evidence links it directly to islam and its teachings. @@aliajafri4450 if someone happens to be a PM of a country, his personal beliefs etc should not matter when compared to his country's interests. The way IK ranted about PM Modi belittles his office and his position as a PM of a country. PM Modi can be anything.. it is our headache. But he is our PM. We defend him with every thing we got. It must not be the concern of other countries or other countries PMs. And IK's hatred towards India and Hindu religion in particular is quite evident. If IK believes India = Pakistan, he and others who believe that are day dreaming. Can the same people of Pakistan and IK thinks that Pakistan = China?? We all know the answer to that what people of Pakistan and Leaders of Pakistan think and behave, including your Mr.Handsome. He didn't have the guts to condemn the violence against Uighurs happening next door. If he thought The Great Islamic Republic of Pakistan has right to raise issues of all Muslims of the world, then why can't he just say a word mentioning Uighurs? When asked, he simply says.. I don't know anything about it. Bloody hypocrite. That also doesn't matter. But the way he is projecting himself as the last saviour of Pakistan asking people to come out if he gets arrested.. can we compare these leaders to our freedom fighters? Not a chance. They were selfless people who gave up their present for future generations. And Pakistan never became independent. It was just born on 14th August 1947. So no surprise people would not be taught about sacrifices of all people from all religions who fought for the Independence. That freedom spirit is missing in the character of Pakistan and it's people. That's why they have accepted and celebrated military takeovers and political murders which again emboldened your military masters. When Nawaz Sharif was criticizing army and military sitting in London, what did Imran Khan do? He was supporting Army and military. Now when tables have turned against him, now he criticizes army. If this is not bloody hypocrisy then what is? If and only if ALL political parties come together and are on same page regarding the role of civilian democratically elected governments and the specific role of armed forces of Pakistan, there is no hope for you guys. This won't happen because, the inflated egos comes in between these so called leaders and have more importance than their countrymen.

Just to give you an idea on DNA test: Take any DNA sample from the subcontinent, there is a variety in paternal haplogroup across subcontinent (gene flow from paternal/father's lineage) from R1a, J1, etc. but the overwhelming majority of people from the subcontinent (Afghanistan-Pakistan-India-Srilanka-Nepal-Bangladesh) have similar (M haplogroup) maternal haplogroup. A theory is that most incoming populations to the subcontinent were dominated by males, but the maternal haplogroup show considerably less variation. As a result, more than 99% of people of subcontinent's DNA is a mosaic of variety of lineages, but maternal DNA is consistent or show less variation. Perhaps this is a reason Indians refer India as matru-bhumi or dharati-maa and there are many feminine goddesses revered across many cultures within the subcontinent.
Note: Hasan Nissar perhaps telling the half-truth. Check his maternal haplogroup- I can guarantee his maternal gene flow is from the subcontinent. It is shameful how people select what they want and ignore the reality.

Besides that, the notion that bloodline purity has been preserved over hundreds or even thousands of years is a fantasy. Even if people try to maintain lineages through enforcing marriage within castes (brahmins, parsis, syeds), other male bloodlines are bound to enter over generations given human urges, even while maintaining the illusion that all offspring were strictly through marriage. Any DNA tests conducted show extensive intermixing within the subcontinent to where we are all more or less the same, and anyone claiming racial purity is deluded and has some deep-seated self-hating need to distance themselves from their ethnic origin that is obvious to the eye.
