Beautiful city. I visited Lebanon in 2019 and Beirut offers the best night life best food. What I like most that the sea is very close to the mountains so skiing is available in winter until the spring. Qadisha Valley is magical.

Marseille is an old and similar city. but much of Beirut is unique and historical for many centuries, not all modern, rich in Levantine and ancient architecture styles.

Everything is empty why ? This is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Either early in the morning, or because of the government not taking care of the area, they don’t want anything to open except the most luxurious stores and the rent prices are too high

Tehran used to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but to be honest nothing compares to Beirut.
Beirut is way better than Paris which became a chaotic third world capital.
Beirut has longer and richer history, better weather, nicer people, tastier and healthier food.
