    Ugh is the 3rd track on the concept album "Queen of The Murder Scene" their 2nd album released in 2018 (when they were 18, 16, and 13) The album tells the story of a disturbed young woman's inner journey from desire to obsession to murder and madness. The band called this song "Ugh" because they struggled with composing it and whenever someone brought up they'd just respond with "ugh"

      @MrsRealistic ... sidenote .. that guitar she's playing is a custom made Gibson Explorer gifted to her by the great Lzzy Hale of Hailstorm during one of their sets while touring with them and The Pretty Reckless !!!.. Dani was shocked as she did not know Lzzy was going to do that , it was sooooo touching and Dani's reaction was so sweet and humble .. she admires Lzzy and is one of her idols .. it actually brought me to tears !!!.. it's a young girls dreams coming full circle on stage for the world to see , and it was awesome !!!

    Great reaction. You must sometime listen through the entire Queen of The Murder Scene concept album, which is truly excellent. Dany and Pau command a lot of attention. They are amazing. The more I listen to The Warning, though, the more impressed I am by Ale’s bass playing. Her precise grooves really anchor these songs. Dany and Pau say Ale’s timing is impeccable, plus she is gifted with perfect pitch. Her backing vocals are always dead-on.

    Thanks or another great reaction! I love this song, probably one of my favorites by the band 🤘👍🤘
    The song is part of a 'story', a concept album called 'Queen of the Murder Scene'. An excellent album, that tells a rather sad story of unrequited love, where she becomes obsessed with someone and her dark side taking over - much of it is this internal dialogue of her good, moral side, talking with her twisted, obsessed dark side and the mental conflict it creates. In the end she can't bare the person ever being with another and murders them, finally, due to conscience and mental turmoil, she takes her own life.

    • @MrsRealistic
      @MrsRealistic  6 месяцев назад +2

      OMG... that's tragic!

    • @Wishi13
      @Wishi13 6 месяцев назад

      :@@MrsRealistic I know it is. It's a little more involved than that - separated in to chapters - all she wants is for him to love her back, but he doesn't see her - her darker side decides - he WILL love me back (song: The One). Sadly, he doesn't and it goes down hill from there-on. But if you follow the lyrics of the different songs in order - especially the (Live at Lunario version 2018) you hear the desperation/sadness/obsession/madness in her voice - It really is very well done, and they weren't very old when they wrote/performed it either (something like 13, 16, 18 yrs old), which to me makes it even more amazing! 🙂
      Sorry about the long reply, I'm an excitable (enthusiastic?) fella, and when I am in that mode, I tend to ramble on!!! 😂🤣😂

    Ugh is the 2nd song of the first chapter of their Queen of the Murder Scene concept album.
    Ugh describes a girl that realizes she’s becoming obsessed with someone who doesn’t know she exists and she’s having problems dealing with that frustration.

    The Teatro Metropolitan show was The Warning's biggest headliner concert of 2022. The theatre capacity is 3,165 fans and they sold out two shows. In 2023, their largest headlining show was at the Pepsi Center, also in Mexico City, and it sold out over 8,000 seats. They only played the one show, as they were doing a large tour in Mexico and had played to large crowds, throughout. In February (2025), they are headlining at the Auditorio Nacional, in Mexico City, which seats 10,000+ fans. When tickets for the show went public, they sold out in hours. I believe that I interpreted Pau's Instagram post to say that they sold out in ONE hour, but I'm not sure- my Spanish language skills are questionable. Regardless, it was less than a day and was very likely less than an hour, considering how much disbelief Pau seemed to be in, when she posted. They quickly added a second show at the Auditorio Nacional, a few days afterward, and that one is quickly closing in on selling out, as well.

    I really like this often overlooked song. Recently DPA have done Dust to Dust, with an extended outro, followed by Dull Knives. I would love to see Ugh slotted between those two, as it would be natural, and fits the sequence in QOTMS. Then hit Red Hands...oh YES! To quote Pau...
    Dear Mrs. You have to dive into Queen of the Murder Scene to get the meaning behind Ugh...apropos of nothing, the girls pronounce it Uck, almost like Ick. As was pointed out it was the hardest song for them to finish. So glad they did.

It was a Gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, presented to Dany on-stage when they toured together. In reality, it was much more than a simple gift, it was the fulfillment of a pledge Lzzy Had made some 16 years previous at the start of her career. Here’s the whole story in her own words. They did the entire concept album at Lunario CDMX as still teens in 2018....fabulous concert. *Ugh* is the 3rd song on the "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS) album released in 2018 when DPA/TW were an independent band... QOTMS is a concept album that tells a story from the first song to the last... hearing the album out of order makes it hard to follow the story... like reading a book's chapters out of order...
    two other original songs, *The One* and *The Sacrifice* , were spawned from *Ugh* ... *Ugh* was the working title because it was a hard one, they really had to work on it, and they actually wanted to shelve it... thankfully their father kept after them to complete it... they were like "ugh! do we have to?" and *Ugh* stuck as the official name, too... the result is great!
    this is one of their songs that you might want to think twice about playing when you are driving 😹
    Fun Fact: one of their songs has/had the working title of "Gracias"... "Gracias" is short for "Gracias, K-Pop" which is a salute from them to the K-Pop genre which has some influences on their sound and style... when they are playing, sometimes Ale will ask which song is up next and she'll get the answer "Gracias" which she knows that song by instead of its official song title...

    This album "Queen of the Murder Scene" is the most impressive concept album in 30+ years. It's an incredibly mature story for such young people. It's the story of a young woman delving into madness after becoming obsessed with someone. And throughout the album the main character's personality is bifurcated into her reality and her violent vengeful alter ego that is taking over. And in the performance of it, vocals sung my Pau are the Heroine, and vocals sung by Dani are the violent, vengeful alter ego. It's a brilliant rock opera.
    And yeah, the first half of this set they are all dressed in black...Then they have an intermission and come out all dressed in white.

    This was the very first song I came across from The Warning, sometime in early 2019. 🤔 It was the live video from Lunario. Followed right up by Crimson Queen from the same concert. It was over right there! The music takes me back to a better time in Rock & Roll. By the way, you missed a lot of good video moments when you were looking down. I was like, 'Look! Look!' 👀😂😂😂
    Great reaction, though, and I'm glad you are really digging The Warning. A full track by track reaction to the Queen Of The Murder Scene from their 2018 Lunario show would be awesome. I bet you'll love it!

      @MrsRealistic Here's a playlist for the whole Lunario show from November 25th, 2018. It was the official release date of their concept album Queen Of The Murder Scene, and it was also their debut performance of the complete album this show also has some tracks from their first album XXI Century Blood. Here's a link to The Warning's playlist of that show If you're interested:

    From 1824 to 2017, Mexico City went by the name “Distrito Federal” or DF (de efe), similar to WashDC as a federal District of Columbia. People from there are nicknamed Chilangos.
    As a result of the Political Reforms enacted in 2016, it is no longer designated as a federal district and became a city again - so “Ciudad de México” CDMX is still a relatively new name for many for the 20million+ megalopolis that was once was called Tenochtitlan. It now goes back to the name it was given in 1585, Ciudad de México 🇲🇽

    They played several songs at this concert from *Queen of the Murder Scene,* their second album. They are a bit out of context if you have never heard that entire album, read the liner notes and lyrics, and watched the 2018 Live at Lunario debut concert of that album. I encourage you to do that, as you will most likely be amazed. The Lunario concert is dark, raw, emotional, a little rough, but moving. They were 13, 16, and 18 when they performed it. Let that sink in as you enjoy the music. Best played loud on the big screen in a dark living room or den...

    CDMX Ciudad de mexico to make the difference with the country. Ugh is a weird title but they name the song like this because they had a lot of problems while writing it In the concept album Queen of the murder Scene there's 2 others songs who are the product of their trial and error while writing Ugh

    This is from Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album they wrote as teens! So the lyrics can be a bit confusing, taken out of their context. QotMS is about a girl who is in love with a guy, who doesn't even know she exists, so she becomes more than a little obsessed, she starts to stalk him, and ends up killing him. Let's just say the story doesn't have a particularly happy ending. Here's an idea, why not do a reaction to the whole album? It's amazing, especially considering their ages when they wrote it, they sure can tell a story, QotMS could easily be turned into a movie, or a mini series.

      It's hard to do combo reactions because of copyright issues. 😕 Depending on who claims copyright for each song, I could end up with at least one claim per song (at least 13 claims) for just one reaction video. 😬 I'll have to look into it

    • @Pascal-the-Rascal
      @Pascal-the-Rascal 6 месяцев назад

      @@MrsRealistic Well, other reactors have done it, don't know if they got copyright claims or not, however, older TW performances are somewhat safe, I think, since they weren't signed to a record lable back then. Not sure how all of that works though, so yes, look into it 😁Would be cool, that's all I'm saying. If you do a couple of songs at a time maybe? Just subbed by the way! 🤘

    This is the third song from their 'Queen of the Murder Scene' concept album (if I remember correctly) - there's a wiki about it where you can go do a bit of a deep dive into it - it's crazy to think Ale, 13, Pau 16, and Dany 18 at the time wrote it and it has such deep lyrics! You can actually do a song-by-song walk through of the album if you check out their concert 'Live at Lunario CDMX'. It's really good - make sure you keep the lyrics handy! Great reaction once again!

    CDMX refers to "Mexico City." Like Washington, D.C., Mexico City is distinct from the various states that make up the rest of the country and is under federal control. Literally, CDMX stands for "Ciudad de México," translated to English as the "City of Mexico."

    Yet another great reaction. You're on fire with The Warning reactions. They were kids when they produced this album (Queen of the Murder Scene/QOTMS). If you decide to go back to the older albums, you'll still be amazed at their talent level. I've been a musician for 47 years and I still can't get over how talented these 3 sisters are. Metallica was my number 1 favorite band but The Warning has surpassed them. Still like Metallica but these young girls are creating a storm to be reckoned with on a global level. Keep up the great reactions, you're becoming my favorite reactor, especially when you do The Warning reactions. Peace and Love to ya and have a blessed and peaceful weekend.
