if that hug was an improvisation, then we know that Andrew's smile was genuine, such a moment of legacy passed down, all of you 3 spider-men, we love you!
I always felt that scene was more of Tom Holland the actor thanking Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire for doing this movie so its nice to know this was improvised by Tom and likely was him genuinely thanking the two of them
the story behind it was that tom hugged them and thanked them profusely on set and one of the production managers saw it (cant remember which one) and wrote it into the scene
+TDDT I heard that Tom really improvised the hug he gave to Tobey and Andrew. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL AND ADORABLE MOMENT. ❤❤❤
The scene itself technically isn't improvised, on one of the last days of shooting, Tom thanked Andrew and Tobey for being here to support him and for starting this journey and how much it meant to him, so they all hugged each other, Kevin feige and Amy Pascal saw this and instantly knew that's how they were gonna end the movie.. on a similar note Andrew saying I love you guys right before they all jumped, was actually improvised, but because it caught them off guard they initially laughed and giggled,
@@Phnix-sn3zv Really? Aww! 🥺🥺🥺
The fact that Andrew’s name appears in graffiti during what’s probably a reference to TASM when he saves the child and his father in a bridge is insanely cool. I think I heard his theme during this moment but I could’ve been just caught up in the nostalgia.
I never noticed that before. That is so cool.
i thought that meant gwen lmao
@@uguess3609 no he’s talking about when Andrew saved the dad and kid on a bridge, did you even see the movie?
@@extrememachine3293 wait, what? when?
The graffiti is for Ross Andru. He was the main Spidey artist after Romita Sr. left. he penciled the book from issue 125-185.
I just love how each spiderman stayed true to their selves, the way they jumped, their quips, the way they use webbing, it was just amazing to watch 3 different Eras of spiderman come together yet still be so unique
Me too
I love how Tom's Spider-Man's senses are so adept, that he was able to actually sense Norman's transition into Goblin AS it was happening. His Spidersense went off, not after Goblin came back, but during the transition from Norman to Goblin, and Tom could actually sense that transition happening, which, I think, is why he was walking around trying to figure out where the danger was coming from.
That shows just how strong his Spidersense really is and how attuned he is with it.
He has the worst spider sense out of the three lmao
@@yoo912 its the first threat hes really felt, noone not even thanos gave him that feeling and thanos literally killed him, green goblin made his senses go haywire

Andrew Garfields face when he saved MJ gets me everytime. It really turned me around to appreciate him more. And also the way he described his mindset after losing Gwen. It elevated his character.
Agreed, it gets me every time, on the flip side his reaction to MJ throwing bread at him was great
I subbed u brother
Ah yes 🙌
I'm not ashamed to admit that I actually cried when he saved MJ, and he was bursting into tears. And the scene also shows how AWESOME of an actor Andrew is.
Also during the whole scene at the school lab when Ned makes his promise not to turn into a super villain and try to kill him, he is specifically wearing an orange and blue jersey, the colors of the Hobgoblin.
Oh! Nice catch!
Definitely!! I laughed out loud at that scene, knowing he would briefly become the hobgoblin in the comics .
Nice catch, I love Ned's Smile and than the nod from Andrew... Makes me laugh every time
@@jimm6415 who knows, now that they dont have that longtime friendship... Ned could eventually become the hobgoblin. Sincen we are getting more movies... I seriously hope they do.
@@BostonsMaverick And with multiverse stuff now it doesn't even have to be "his" Ned, but the same actor as a different variant that has all the creative license to be way more evil
I just realized that perhaps when Andrew threw the cure at Tom, it was actually symbolic when referring to ‘nice catch’ and ‘nice throw’; It really complements the passing of the baton from Andrew’s spidey to Tom’s spidey and how he thinks Tom did a ‘nice catch’ with performing as spidey and vice-versa.
WHAT HAPPENED TO SHAME ?
The fact he has analysed this so much to the point he has found this many Easter eggs is mad. Respect
some of them were from the previous one but still insane how much he's able to find every time
A few of them are just made up.
@@juniper617 some of these were actually confirmed from the official script that was released a while back

13:45 I can't believe they missed the detail of the Green Goblin the newspaper.

I can’t stop smiling about the fact that we live in a world where this movie exists. It’s beautiful ❤️
I always got goosebumps when I see the scene when Andrew saves MJ, like he did it this time.
it's our canon event ❤
Damn the what happened to shame wasn’t real 😭
He must have removed it surely
During Peter & Goblins first fight, he wasn't smiling because he was getting stronger after each hit.
Right after that he slams Peter down and says
"Strong enough to have it all, too weak to take it"
He was smiling because he knew Peter was pulling his punches since he's fought Spiderman before.
Basically was like I'm about to teach you a lesson and went on to kill Aunt May.
That's my take on it anyway
I never thought about that line, but I think you’re right on the money.
Damn that was good didn’t think about that.
I agree
Oh true
I love it
Fun fact: doc ock actually named his 4 arms Larry, Harry, Flo and Moe. Goblin actually cut the arm called Harry, its a cool nod I guess
Nice catch
@@thecookemonsteer8146 Nope. We don't even know what arm was named Harry in the first place
@@brian5771 It was his bottom left arm

I think it was the production team that named each arm, not Doc Ock himself. It was easier for them to identify each arm while they worked on them.

Do Tobey has spider sense?
One thing you misses is the fact that the "I survived my trip to NYC" shirt, it fits him now whereas in homecoming it didn't fit. I can only assume this is a subtle nod to how he's grown as a character
He did point that out in the last review
@@GhostOfInazuma link?
Paul also pointed that out. I noticed it during my watch of the film. Pretty easy to when someone packs on twenty pounds
@Jai Michael Dee Lmao I just assumed it was a smaller version of the same shirt to make it look like Peter grew since... Tom Holland is past growing at this point in his life.
yk what I never realised how close it is to such an iconic moment from the game
You can also see that there are tears in Doctor Strange’s eyes when he sais goodbye to Peter. Showing how much he cared for him.
Peter Parker did save his life from certain death twice in Infinity War..
What's worse is Strange likely knows he will be the only one to remember who Peter is. He does seem to remember the full moon party that he also likely was the one that cast it.
I bet he can still be able to remember what they been through but only he knows Is 'SpiderMan' not 'Peter Parker '
I also always saw Toby saying "It's what we do" in the high school lab and on the Statue of Liberty shield as a callback to Aunt May saying "This is what we do. We help people." in the F.E.A.S.T. facility, giving Tom's Peter a greater reason to trust and believe Toby's Peter
WHAT HAPPENED TO SHAME
A cool detail I noticed when goblin was ranting to the other villains he said “gods don’t have to choose” and At that moment you could see electro chose to join them at that moment because at the end of TASM two that’s what he wanted to be a god.

24:27 Spidey senses on point, to the point where he sensed Goblin thieving
what happened to shame
34:10
Because...... Spiderman learns from his mistakes
Another nice touch: the shield wasn’t the only change to the Statue of Liberty. It’s made of copper, which originally looked bronze/brass but turned green because it oxidized over the years. You can see that it has been cleaned up to look the way it originally did in 1886, probably because if they made the shield out of the same material, it wouldn’t match.
Yeah we all established that months ago when the trailer came out
Good catch
@@hazard1319 we are playing a double header Tomorrow.
13:45 They missed the detail of the Green Goblin the newspaper.
@@lindzeesouperocd7558 Good luck at your games
The biggest shock for me after watching the bluray version was In the scene where the three Spidermen jump together, they are actually hooting too. I didn't hear this when I watched it in the theatre because the whole theatre went bonkers during this scene.
@Plentus Thats what u took from that comment ? 😅
They were letting the other Crips know po-po was coming.
Andrew was hilarious in this film. The thing I appreciate about the 3 of them, is that you could legit say that each IS Peter Parker and stays true to the character.
Fun missed fact: In a few of the scenes including the Damage Control Agents, there’s one agent that is with Cleary that is actually a recurring character from Homecoming. His name from that film was Agent Foster, the same one who made that snarky comment (“Maybe next time don’t over extend yourself”) to Adrian Toomes which caused him to get sucker punched at the clean up site of Grand Central Station!
The bread that MJ threw at Andrew Garfield on their first meeting is actually a "Pandesal". It's a Filipino staple bread, since Ned's lola is Filipino. And great Tagalog dialogue by the lola.
it isn't pandesal actually, rather it's a yema roll.
I thought it was a hopia
It's Pandesal 100%.
@@jasonpatrick5660 bruh i've never seen a pandesal wrap in plastic individually
@@jasonpatrick5660 No, it isn't. the script says it is a yema roll.
Can we just acknowledge for a moment that 2 of Tom Hollands most memorable scenes were entirely improvised? The "I don't feel so well" scene from Infinity war and the group spidey hug from No Way Home
Another reason why Tobey’s Peter was exhausted after getting shocked was because his webs come from his body and his insides and outside were electrocuted.
“Nice catch”, “Nice throw” I believe was more metaphoric than just dialogue. Andrew passes the baton to Tom and he finished the race.
When tom stabs the goblin with the needle, he still looks angry, but is satisfied after stabbing the goblin. You could see it as tom killing the goblin and getting revenge.
I like that interpretation. That makes a lot of sense and would still feel cathartic to Peter. He also wasn’t killing Norman, but that didn’t mean all was great and that he was going to be gentle.
The name “Andru” on the bridge could be a reference to Ross Andru who drew the book for a bunch of years in the 70’s
What Happened to Shame?
I like to think that the "Nice catch." and "Nice throw" comment between Andrew in Tom is meant to symbolize the passing of the torch from one to the other.
32:41 YO YOU DID NOT HAVE TO DO ANDREW LIKE THAT! 😂
I think the reason the portal won't close for the statue of liberty fight is because of how Ned is attempting to close the portal. Before, he just did nothing and it closed naturally. This time he is spinning his hand to try to close it, but this motion is what opens it and probably is holding it open
I imagine it’s linked to his mind, he doesn’t wanna leave Peter so he’s still hyped up and the portal isn’t done with the job yet, so it stays open
And because when he says “I opened a portal to the wrong Peter Parker” and it went away, so he was finished and moving on
When you realize that the hug tom holland spiderman gives to the other two spidermen is just tom hugging his childhood. Plus its improvised
In NWH, Tom's spidey jumped to dodge goblin's knives during his entrance in the final battle, the same jump that Tobey's spidey did when he was fighting goblin in the burning house.
The whole joke about Tobey and Andrew not knowing about the Avengers is hilarious but it also confirms that the Avengers still don't exist in their universes
Absolutely loved this movie. Pre-release I was nervous it may be over saturated with all the support characters and having multiple Spider-Men would take away from Tom story in the 3rd movie of this trilogy. They did not disappoint and ended up making a phenomenal film.
I was worried about that too. S3 was oversaturated, ASM2 was oversaturated, and here we are with NWH... I couldn't help but be concerned that no one learned the lesson. But I have to admit they balanced it perfectly between the villains and the three Peters. 😍
The line “maybe I’ll move to Brooklyn.“ is actually a reference to the episode of the ultimate Spiderman where he moves to Brooklyn and is their superhero for a little while
Anyone noticed that when Peter is in control of the arms, the light goes from red to blue
Yeah, I noticed that one. Expected this detail to be said here, but missed somehow. That's a cool major detail tho
Literally everyone noticed that.

@@abdulbashith9974 It was mentioned in Erik's earlier video on this. He didn't miss it.
I love what John Watts continues to do with the license plates. such a fun way to make references.
There’s another easter egg I found: Tom’s Peter says “There are crimes in Boston too right?” which is a nod to Andrew in his second film saying the same thing about London
34:40 my god 😭
Did anyone make the connection that at the end of far from home Peter asks May and Happy about their relationship and they reply super awkwardly before he leave to meet with MJ. Then to start no way home he comes back with MJ while May and Happy are breaking up possibly implying peters question sparked the “what are we” conversation between them.
I took the ending of this movie as showing that this entire trilogy was the Tom holland version’s origin story since he was back to the classic style suit and nobody but him knowing anything about him

8:41 another missable detail that you may debate, it looks like Matt was a bit sorta dissapointed in himself for compromising himself to be more than just "a really good lawyer" like "aww i shouldn't have done that" face. You could debate this but i like it.
"A hug that was improvised by Tom Holland to thank these past 2 eras for Spider-Man's."
What an amazing scene.
When Toby was talking to Andrew about positive self talk he says “your amazing” which I think is I nod to the name of his film
Probably one of the most poignant details of the movie that shouted out to me was that moment when Tom-Peter punches down and hits the shield where Norman just was, leaving a huge dent... just like Andrew-Peter... in that moment he stopped pulling his punches. 😳
Noticed that too
Both instances are also because of a Green Goblin

43+ years of extensive comic book reading, and I continue to get chills watching clips like this as though it's my first time experiencing the genre!! Such a time to embrace & rejoice!
I love the focus on the “We are happy to serve you” coffee cup in the end, just very relevant to Peter’s newfound freedom as that anonymous superhero, just happy to help out his city again.
Peter's homemade suit at the end still does have the mechanical eyepieces at 39:40 You can still see the layered mechanical pieces.
26:18 also you can see the scars on strange’s hand as peter takes off the ring, continuity🤌🏼
31:36 love that Tobey look to Tom after he doesn't say Dr Osborn name, he notice that Tom is not going to cure and then Tobey talk about the antiserum to make sure the decision.
34:15 because Peter learns from his mistakes!
I need more explanation on how Tobey knows Ned & MJ, and somehow Ned’s grandma? And then the confrontation between Tobey & Andrew when they meet!
Idk if anyone else noticed this but In the moment when Peter’s spider-sense activates in happy’s apartment, you can hear the Goblin laugh VERY faintly.
Missable detail 39.5: Apparently Charlie Cox went to a theater to see if people reacted to his scene, but it was quiet. I cheered for you though, Charlie. I cheered 🥺

The "you are amazing" at 32:54 should be counted aswell, its a reference to Andrews spiderman being the actual "amazing spiderman".
One thing that could be intentional (or not). The ending scene of the movie where Peter listens to the Police scanner on his phone and how he exits his window reminds me of the opening of Spiderman PS4.
Also the room is very simmilar to the one from the game

I may be misremembering, but wasn't Electro originally a lineworker in the comics so is Electro wearing that uniform a reference to that?
Yeah, he was, so you could see it that way
I feel like the Eye of Aggamotto is gonna get the makeover of what the Eye is mostly used in the comics, which is mostly a use for prime universal knowledge.
I mean the Eye in the comics could do almost anything including seeing universal knowledge but it could also be used for opening portals, seeing through time, travelling through time, casting spells, peering into people's souls, seeing past concealment spells and many more which I can't remember off the top of my head, Scott Derrickson even said that the eye from the comics was just too powerful for his version of Doctor Strange, I hope Raimi doesn't go the comic route as that would make Strange way too overpowered. At least not Classic Strange, I think ANAD Strange or Strange from the late 90s is a good benchmark for how powerful MCU Strange should get without the absurdity that was classic Strange.
@@iceomistar4302 To Be Fair, Strange has been probably one of the most powerful superheroes not in just Marvel, but Comics in General. Fiege said hes becoming something of the Pinpoint of the MCU now with all the Multiversial stuff going on, so it kind of makes sense that he gets a major power buff. I do agree that ANAD Strange or 90s strange is a good point of buffing current MCU Strange.

I still can't believe just how amazing this movie was! 3 different actors who individually portrayed Spidey brilliantly in their own movies coming together and excelling even further in this movie together! So one thing I haven't really seen mentioned yet (or I missed somehow) is the subtle callbacks to the other movies in the villain introductions. When Peter meets Doc Ock and Green Goblin on the bridge, he is wearing a suit reminiscent of the one Tobey wore. That was pointed out quite a bit when the trailer was released. Tobey similarities while introducing Tobey's villains. However I haven't seen anyone mention the fact that when Tom Holland takes his mask off when he is with Sandman and Electro, his hair is in the style of Andrew's bushy bouffant. Again, similarities to Andrew's appearance while introducing his villians.
if i’m not mistaken, i believe that in the minute 38:11 you can almost see the birth year of aunt may, which i think is 1964. You can see the top of the third number that looks like it traces a 6 and you can also see the cross part of the 4. And it lines up perfectly with the actress’s age.
25:17 This could be a reference to miles morallis in into the spideverse as he is told many times "your shoelaces are loose" and he responds "yeah, i'm aware"
There is another interesting detail that i noticed while watching the movie, more especificaly when Matt Murdoch tells happy about the feds opening a investigation regarding on possibly other kinds of stark tech being missing after the drone attack in London, and this could be a link to be explored with the plot of the future Marvel tv series on Disney plus Armour wars, witch is literally taking this as the series main storyline.
