First, there's no reason to notch the seal to go past the track. Doing so serves no purpose at all. Second, are you saying you couldn't figure out how to notch tje seal? If so, you should probably leave this job and any other job around the house to someone else.
Loved the video, really needed to find a solution to a gap between the Garage Door and the slanted floor. My Garage floor is about 1" just like the video. Internet was full of bad advice, mainly suggesting to 'fix' this issue by adjusting the door so it was slanted. DO NO DO THIS, it unbalances the spring and can cause the spring to fail. This solution is much better. The video shows from beginning to end of the project. The crucial part was pushing the threshold under the Garage door. Where the gap is, the threshold will slide farther under the door. On the other end, only a little bit will go under the door. Thanks for the video!

I installed a seal and it is trapping water (rain / snow that's on the car when I pull in) inside the garage, such that it pools against the wall of the garage (which will eventually rot the drywall and studs). How can the seal be removed?
How do you clean the garage floor at the end of winter? We usually hose or pressure wash out all the winter salt and mud and it flows down and out the door.
Hi, I have a floor drain in the center of the floor. I usually keep it clean with a leaf blower. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.
Interesting. I rarely open my garage doors and just want to keep the cold air out. Would it be feasible to just to properly place them and shut door on them without using any adhesive?
Hi, If you don't use the door much, it should stay in place. It is pretty wide and has some weight to it. If you are driving a car over it, you will probably get some movement. I have a similar problem with my garage door. My floor is uneven. Did you try using the threshold without gluing it down, and if so, how did that work. We only use our garage bay as a utility/storage room so we would never have to drive over it. ,
Hi, the sealant keeps it from moving when you drive over it with a vehicle and it seals out water. You could remove the threshold with a pry bar. We have more home improvement tips on our weekly podcast itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/fix-it-home-improvement/id880903087?mt=2
Hi, I didn't have any mice last fall. I keep mouse traps in the corners on both sides of the garage door. So far so good. Before I installed the threshold there was a pretty big gap from the cement settling. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.

Hello sir. This is excellent. How would I, however, install the strip if I had multiple drops in the floor because it cracked in 2 or 3 places? In other words you have a nice continuous drop, I have three different drops. Thank You!
I used a floor leveling product from Home Depot in a basement that had that problem. I put it on the low side of cracks and spread it out over a distance so I could install snap together vinyl floor without cracks being noticeable. I think that product would work for your issue.

Hi, it's been great to stop leaves and water because the concrete settled lower on one side. It also helps keep the garage warmer in the winter here is Chicago.
Hi, the garage door is level and works great. The cement is low on one side. The concrete driveway also sank on one side and we had to have it lifted. This worked well and it should keep out the ground squirrels that have been playing in the garage.
What you describe sounds like lowering one end of the garage door. Your door would not be level anymore. It might solve the gap issue, but puts a lot of stress on the garage door spring/support lines. I had the garage door spring break twice for that reason (very dangerous). It wasn't till a third garage tech came in to show me the gap AND re-balance/level my garage door. This left me with a similar gap as in the video. Thanks for this video, as most folks would say, not much out there for un-level thresholds.
Hi, they included the adhesive with the threshold. Check out more home improvement tips in our e-books www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B2KW1FQ9?notRedirectToSDP=1&.
Finally, a video showing how to cut around the track. So many talk about it, but it shows here!

So glad I came across this video. Originally I was going to use roof flashing but now I’m buying that rubber stop
It worked great for me!

Hi, I would pull it up with a pull and pry bar.
Years ago they left a metal pipe in concrete so there would be a perfect seal.
Thank you!

dont glue it down. It can just lay there. You may have to adjust it after you have driven over it a few times but its simple to do
@steverm3438 i was thinking the same thing. I don't want to clue it either
Could I adhere this to blacktop as my floor is blacktop not concrete
Great video, thanks.

that is my concern
Sir does it also keep out the rain?

What kind of sealant
Hi, the threshold comes with a sealant that is also the adhesive.

but cant that thing be a tripping hazard??
Who the heck wants a threshold on their garage floor
Hi, it's been great to stop leaves and water because the concrete settled lower on one side. It also helps keep the garage warmer in the winter here is Chicago.
