- I've made many football videos in Scotland from Celtic & Rangers at the very top to the West of Scotland League Division 4 at the very bottom!
Today I started my 23/24 season with a bottom tier clash between Saltcoats Victoria & Glenvale.

Who else should I see this season in Scotland?
Come see Auchterarder primrose, my Sunday league team
A highland League match 😮
Queen’s Park at hampden park at least once 😊
Keep up your good work
A Lowland league football match,good friend Sam!!!🏋♂️
Golspie Sutherland
U definitely should come back & see broxburn athletic again. Or even uphall
I really like this Saltcoats manager, speaks very well, gave a great sales pitch to local players to get involved. Wish them all the best. Fair play to the sub keeper haha
Admission, a pie and a coffee for well under a tenner, that's great value. This video encapsulated what makes non-league football not only different but special.
The wee lad Brodie who’s grandfather is Derek Frye is a football legend in Ayrshire. Also played at Dundee Utd- Stranraer - Ayr Utd & QOS.
Also managed at Queens - Annan - Gretna to name a few. 👍a great man.
Brilliant video.
I love the enthusiasm of the manager and the resigned cynicism of the young lad.
Another great video. They do more to promote Scottish football at all levels than anything the SFA can do! In the last season I've visited a few junior grounds because of your channel, like I'm sure lots of other people have done.
Saltcoats looked as windy as always!
Superb!! And hats off to Saltcoats - wishing them all the very best!
Blimey footie is hard at that level. I love the guy’s confidence in the long term plan.
Good luck to you all at Saltcoats👌
Just love the goalie interchange and the pitch side barrier that is crumbling away - so typical of lower league games. Another cracking video Sam.
Would be interesting to go back to Saltcoats towards the end of the season to see how much they have progressed in a season. Good luck to them!
Enjoyed that. Fair play to Saltcoats. Good luck to them.
Committee guy and manager spoke very well.
Loving non league football being back, went to the medda Troon Derby yesterday and its great to have football back whatever the level
Nice Ayrshire derby to start off your season!
@@FootyAdventures fiesty one as well, would've hated to be the ref
Bryan Slavin you interviewed at the end played senior with Greenock Morton for a number of years. Solid defender.
Loving the manager’s enthusiasm. Made me want dust off my boots 😂
Came here to watch Larkhall play last season. Good wee park. Wish them all the best for the new season.
Saw my old school and you even managed to get a train in. No ground next to a railway line is complete without a picture of a train. Brilliant! 😂
I love grassroots football! Here in Norway I'm the public announcer at the local football teams home matches at level 6 in our league pyramid. The top football is so commercialised , especially in the top ranked countries of Europe, and it has distanced itself from ordinary people. So grassroots football is much better to watch.
It’s good to get involved at this level. I took match photos at Ardeer Th ,a ten minute walk away from the Saltcoats ground. Never a dull moment.👍🏻
Brilliant video Sam, have been a subscriber for a couple of years or more now. Loved the passion of the saltcoats manager, came across very well. Brilliant interactions with the young rangers fan as well 👍 Your passion for football really shines through in every video you do, keep up the amazing work with this amazing channel you have built.
Love Sunny saltcoats 😁 unfortunately wasn't so sunny today with the rain and getting beat , but the goalie situation was a strange one
Great video!! Great idea for a FM save - Saltcoats. If I lived in Scotland, for that price, I'd be at every game.
absolutely brilliant vlog Sam great vibes from saltcoats manager to everyone you spoke too, a crazy game but brilliant to watch.
Thanks mate. I went to another game in this division last night and Saltcoats were the away team! New video will be up shortly 👍🎥
Excellent video ! Really glad I saw it because by coincidence, I was at that same game as a groundhopper too. And I had been thinking to myself that in nearly 50 years of watching senior football, I had also never seen a goalkeeping sub come on and play outfield and then later, swap positions with the original goalkeeper ! Good fortune that you chose the match where that happened, especially after having spoken to the keepers before the game.
Keep up the good work. 👍
It's great to have your match videos back, especially in the Scottish non-league. 🙂
I'm hoping to attend matches at as many grounds as I can, in my local areas, this season!
Have a great appreciation for Saltcoats Vics. Ran a charity game at their stadium years ago. They lent us kits, facilities, players, and equipment, all for free. Great people run the club. Real club for the community 👍
I've seen Saltcoats Vics a few times in the late 1970s early 80s, usually at Irvine Vics but once at their place. I was thrilled that one of my heroes, Bobby Lennox, was on the touchline with the Saltcoats coach on that occasion. It was an honour to breathe the same air as the great man.
You must come to Molde for the 2nd leg of Molde vs. Klaksvik from the Faroe Islands in the Champions League 3rd Qualifying round on Aug 15. Klaksvik has stunned Ferencvaros of Hungary & Hacken of Sweden to get this far. Their coach, in his 1st job as head coach is former Molde legend Magne Hoseth who played for Molde when we were in the CL in the 1999/2000 season. His assistant is Daniel Berg Hestad, another Molde legend, the player with most matches for Molde ever. Vegard Forren, who scored the decisive penalty against Hacken also has many years as a Molde player behind him, but was sacked by the club in 2020. Last season he played at level 3 here in Norway. Another former Molde player is also in the Klaksvik squad. It's a definite sell-out, and you will love the stadium as it's situated by the sea. Norways finest stadium. Or maybe you should go the 1st match in The Faroe Islands, have you ever been there?
Home of Monty Killie legend
Sam, the best video so far. Loved it. Real football. Good luck to Saltcoats Victoria. And watch out for your young assistant. Star of the future.
i will recommend to come over to Norway 27th September to watch the semi final in the Norwegain cup between Kjelsås and Molde, Kjelsås is in the third tie of Norwegian football will Molde is currently on 2nd place in the Norwegian Premier League
Kjelsas have a chance?
The record attendance at this ground is apparently 10000. Incredible to imagine what that was like.
I used to watch Largs Thistle quite a bit when I was wee. They're a tiny club (but seem massive compared to Saltcoats). Always a good time.
Fair play to the kid football pundit knowing they would concede 5 goals , he just got the other bit slightly wrong lol
Yes he is back cheered me up your back making Scottish football content welcome back Sam hope you enjoyed your trip to Bangkok & malaysia.are you attending flag day at Celtic park?
Even though im a Nottingham Forest fan of 49yrs i still love going to watch the lower league teams play its far more exciting and alot of the times the pies are better lol
THAT is why I subscribe to this channel. Brilliant start to the season, Sam!
I really like non-league football. I have now got a season ticket for Broxburn athletic. Plus when I go down to England to see my father. I go with my uncle to see marine FC in Liverpool.😊
I'm from Fishponds in Bristol England , but I'm now a Saltcoats Vic fan ! Will now follow them as much as possible !
A was just turned 16 and played for yoker juniors against larkhall and cambuslang rangers so I know how the goalies feel, although I played at centre half 💪
Fab video. I live in Saltcoats, but I’m ashamed to say I’ve never been to one of their games. I’m a season ticket holder at Rangers, but will keep an eye out for games that don’t clash and try get along to a few this years.
You do great work Sam! More power to you
Great video mate! He gave a great account of the club and why more people should go and visit and indeed play for the side too!
I see where this is going Sam - next video league 9, then 8.etc etc etc.. excellent! looking forward for your next video... thx! am in the states and it's hard to tell year to year what teams are still alive in the lower level leagues here in massachusetts.. keep up the good work! (btw, if i notice a team with a nice kit (no red, never red, am a Tot Spurs fan), will try to get one to support the teams you're showing)...
Great vid as usual Sam. Love this level of football. My local team Kello Rovers were playing yesterday as well in the WOSFL 3rd division, away to Port Glasgow. 1-0 up at half time, but ended up getting thumped 7-1 😭🤣🤣🤣
Amazing mate. Junior football in Scotland is such a thing.
Saltcayotes by the sewerage. Magic! Lived there for a good while. The storms were great.
So typical of the start of the season for a lot of clubs at the bottom of the pile. Was on the committee at Saltcoats for a wee while but all those guys don’t seem to be there now. Manager comes across really well, hope he can turn things around.
Nice video Sam. The "Viking Cafe" serving "Indian and Turkish food" that you walked past earlier in the video sounds interesting!!
Exactly.
Yes and if he had only known he could have got a 3 course delicious Indian meal for £10.95 at the nearby Motherland Spice.
Enjoyed that, greetings from Holland.
Yay football's back, baby! I'm 41 and I've never seen this happen with gk's and I've watched a lot of football over my years.
Excellent video and message to support your local team. Well done. You are spot on.
That was probably one of your best videos. The SFA needs to hire you to promote the lower league football.
don’t say his cheap local video was his best right after his tour of football in asia where every video probably cost 1500£ to make each when you factor all the travek
Can't wait for this season, looks so exciting in all the non leagues.
Same!! Gotta see Johnstone Burgh soon with the signings they've made!
@@FootyAdventureswhy!? A drug money laundering club?
@@TheGolfer29 he’s clearly not going to go is he
Hiya Sam, Carlisle United are at home on Saturday in a sort of derby against Fleetwood, I'll be there, If I was living in that area I would sign up for Saltcoats if I was 20 years younger, that scotch pie looked nice, keep up the interesting vlogs, this is Choppy in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England
What a manager this guy is: I'd go play for a gaffer like this.
Awesome my brother start from the bottom and work your way up 💙⚽
Although it's not Scotland I'd recommend going to see Wellington Amateurs in Telford, Shropshire. I think you'd like the ground and the story of how they have refurbished it. Also the connection of Thomas Telford to Scotland. He was known as the Colossus of Roads and was born in Westerkirk in Dumfries shire. I know it's a bit of a trek but they do nice pies too.
A love junior fitbaw! I've been involved in it since the age of 2 following my dad play for all the biggest junior teams About
Football at it's basic, this was great to watch. Amateur football was mentioned so how does the amateur leagues compare to Tier 10? which could be an idea for a video
An amateur club sort of took over the neighbours of Saltcoats ,Ardeer Th.
Thanks for all your hard work mate
Irvine Meadow, be a good one to visit!! Go for the Irvine derby if you can when Meadow play the Vic's!!
Love the lower leagues, this definitely makes me want to extend my next trip to Glasgow, from Norwich, so I can take in a lower league game!! Although it will always be known as the juniors League for me 😂
Love Ur Content Man Inspiring Me To Something Similar For Australian Football
Cant wait for this season to begin and all your videos that will come with it! ❤
Hey Sam, I'm new to the channel but really enjoying the videos. Nice one man 👊🏴
The wee man really seems to know his football
Love the brick wall surrounding the ground.
Just love the positivity! If you want to play get signed up for Saltcoats.👏😊🇬🇧
What a start to a new season Sam. Excellent vid. So non-league, lol.
Looks like anyone can rock up at Saltcoats Victoria and get a game 😂.
🤣🤣 take your shinpads and who knows?
Thanks for watching mate!!
I haven’t had one of those scotch pies for a long time, hope it was nice. Im sitting on my terrace here in Almeria Spain Watching wonderful non league football. It’s something like 34c so it’s hot and watching your vids from Bonny Scotland with very changeable weather I’m glad I’m here in Spain.
good luck saltcoats , and great enthusiasm love it
Used to get pitch invasions from the abattoir next door😂. Those were the days
Great as usual Sam. Keep it up .
Come to Danderhall miners please
New season. Sam’s back!!!
I wouldn't mind playing for Saltcoats. These guys could do with a midfielder🙂
Love the Saltcoats kit... nice colour combo
That young lad was brilliant
Loving nonkeague football! I’m a bit puzzled with the lack og players in Saltcoats. Acording to Wikipedia there’s 12000 inhabitants in saltcoats and they can’t find 15 players?!? I know it’s holiday season but still! Can you elaborate on that?!? BR a danish viewer 😃
I think the problems is that there are a lot of teams within 7 miles or so, some of whom are doing better than the Vics - Ardrossan Winton Rovers for example, Kilwinning Rangers (the Buffs), Kilbirnie Ladeside and 2 teams in Irvine, Meadow and Victoria.
Kid has more understanding than many 😂
love the Coaches Son there
Can you tell us your best stadium from each tier of the football pyramid please and also I live in stevenston hoping you enjoyed your time in sunny saltcoats
You were in my family’s town! At the statue you’ll see the shop CCUS Scotland if you need phone, computer repairs or buy new accessories my cousin will sort you all out! Support local business support local teams
Please go to the glebe at Brechin this year
That's why it's called the beautiful game. Just when you think you've seen it all, something bizarre happens 😂
It's the start of the 2023/24 FA Cup in England next weekend & i'm heading up to Sunderland RCA to see them take on West Allotment Celtic at the Sunderland LGV Park Stadium in the extra preliminary round........Wembley beckons!
Consett fan here. We,re away to Kendal Town next week, i can,t wait. Love non league football and supporting your local club.
@@colinsimpson5905 The North East has some great non league teams filled with tradition & history, I need to visit West Auckland FC this season the original World Cup winners. Best of luck next week!
Drumchapel United is a club you should visit
Definitely
Love your videos, love from Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺
That Stand would scare the Cows from my district 😃

Should have a look into St Anthony's from Govan, Sam. My uncles family run it. I'm gonna try and get you access 👍
Great video...👏👏👏👏👏👍
The stepladder is to allow them to put up and take down the goal nets.
Billingham Synthonia played Thornaby the night before and scored the first goal in the league, so think that was first competitive goal in the UK?
You going to any of the midweek games this week?
U should come to guernsey and watch a game in the prioux league at north I can help show u round the club
Enjoy all the low league videos you do.
I'm from the USA and trying to figure out what the actual level of football skill is at some of these levels. How would it be comparable to how we level sports in the USA.
We have low class/level to high class/level High School teams.
Low level to high level College/University teams.
Town teams, Semi Pro, etc.
Any insights would be appreciated!!
My nephew plays for hawick royal Albert in east of Scotland 3rd division 9 th tier Sam , they are playing Golspie Sutherland in Scottish cup qualifier on 2nd September , that would be a good vlog mate I can meet u & get u to ground🤙
Hi good friend Sam,and this is a fantastic video of the lowest Scottish league!!!🏋♂️
Legend Depek thanks for watching!!!
@@FootyAdventures You are welcome and I am tuning in on all of the respective Scottish leagues from the top till bottom tiers of the pyramid system, good friend!!!🏋♂️
Great vid, speaking of teams in the lower tier of English football, how about my team Bury, if you are able to
