Loved this! Can you (or have you already) made a video listing your favorite free educational apps for kids? I found a few number blocks and alpha blocks apps I like, they’re nothing super amazing, but my kids really enjoy them!

      Reading eggs user here 🖐
I've used it for 7 of my children. For my children who don't struggle w reading / learning disabilities/ dyslexia it's been a HUGE help to our homeschool. Out of the 7, 3 became excellent readers ( now aged 17, 15, 12) and I'm currently using it for my 7 year old emerging reader. That being said, 3 out of my 7 struggle w dyslexia ( no surprise for us because their Dad is dyslexic as well) for those 3, reading eggs was not a great fit-- they LOVE using it, but I've seen little to no improvement in their reading. If you have a struggling student, I'd recommend Nessy vs Reading Eggs-- but please understand my recommendation for Nessy is only anecdotal based off others reviews and recommendations ( we haven't yet used it ourselves) but are making the switch over to Nessy for my 3 struggling kids ( who are still currently using reading eggs in the interim)
I hope that explanation makes sense. I'd be happy to answer any question you have about the program but a couple highlights are:
      repetition
      Highly engaging..colorful, musical etc
A joy to use-- My kids ask to use it...they never look at it as a chore
Rewards--My kids love building their homes and avatars by earning eggs during lessons that they can trade in for stuff and / or certificates --u can print at milestones ( some kids like the tangible reward vs an avatar reward)
Emails sent to me every lesson completed and highlighting what skill the child specifically learned
      Printable sheets for further practice
Emailed recommendations of activities u can do w your child to reinforce phonetic awareness .

Oh wow! I'm so glad for that warning re the agenda at reading eggs! We took a break from 2019 until just this week ( re started our subscription yesterday!) So I'll be going through my 7 year Olds library w a fine tooth comb for sure-- thanks for sounding the alarm!

@@LifeintheMundane oh no! I have tried quite literally all of these and readingeggs is the only one we have liked to supplement our reading program! I wonder if it is just in the library or if it is in the actual curriculum portion of it. My kids don't read the books and I don't plan on them using it once they have mastered their phonics skills.

What’s the best place to get a good curriculum that you use that’s not app or on websites. We are looking for main curriculum 😅instead of supplemental apps. What would you recommend (Teen and toddler)
    And what do you use.
