I mean we have to admit that there's colorism, but some people kinda reduce entire cultures to the skin tone, which is what I really hate. I could go as far as to say that for those people simply having dark skin tone will be enough to consider Natlan "accurate culture representation", even when skin tone has 0 culture, literally 0. It only matters in racist countries that try to solve the problem by creating more racism = people are forced to interact only with people of the same skin tone, so obviously with time their cultures become different by something so dumb as skin tone
@@EngelAguilar My issue isn't even colorism, it's that these content creators indirectly incite their fan bases who go attack VAs instead of Hoyo n then be like "Oh guys please stop attacking VAs"...if there was any productive effects of this dialogue, I'd be on board but right now it's just angry mob mentality
@@CrownePriWhile I certainly understand your point, its my understanding that there is no real "colorism" in China. China itself is one of the biggest economic powers on the globe and both historically and culturally value status and class. From all the things I've looked up and people who have talked about it, the origin of their takes on skin color is less about race and more about status. While I can't say I know everything, the general idea is that light skin was once favored as a sign of wealth and success (because you weren't dirty). While in the modern day it certainly can and has merit to be argued about it being racist in origin, people tend to forget that China is a communist country that would sooner throw its own citizens in prison for going against them than be openly racist towards different colored people. Mostly because, a random foreigner with dark skin has now weight in their culture while someone who's as pale as snow can quickly cause some sort of movement to denounce the government. China itself has a lot of governmental and social issues that don't fly with a lot of countries around the world but we seem to forget that all Chinese citizens are told to love, respect and contribute to their country no matter what. Its not a stretch to say that their dated caste system is still ingrained into their culture and applied to everyone who doesn't fit that mold without trying to shoehorn the western issue of racism as its roots. Imo, the real problem has nothing to do with China being racist but rather how China inherently regards how they view people in general, or rather how they're taught to view people. Calling it colorism missing the forest for the trees personally. And as a Mexican who grew up in the states, I had the privilege to grow up around the ideals of freedom and equality along with sharing spaces with people from different backgrounds and ethnicities. China doesn't have that privilege so it doesn't surprise me hiw they view people are different from them and it doesn't surprise me why everyone jumps on the easiest explanation for all this when the issues go much deeper and more meaningful. I know this is about Genshin and it "ain't that deep" but this whole "cultural appropriation/racism" angle people have taken is just another reason why the only real Genshin community that exists is the one that's simply playing the game. Not these Twitter users or content creators along with their followings
Wait is is Stamina limit increase or ability to increase stamina from other statures? depending which one, it has different meanings (upgrade all statues to lvl 4 for max stamina (200) or give us 600 stamina)
When the traveler activate the natlan statue, you see the stamina as 177/240, so it's the latter (you can increase your stamina to max through any statue and not just the ones from liyue and mondstad)
Crazy they had all those people of color representing their wonderful cultures during the concert but all the playable characters in the main cast that also represent those cultures are white (beside the little elf)
This is the most racist crap i've seen in a while. You weirdos are so obsessed with skin color that you fail to see what proper cultural representation is. You heard the music? THAT is our culture, THAT is proper representation. THAT is what war means for us. THAT is why we still keep going forward despite how bad things seem in our countries. THAT, IS WHAT MAKES US LATINOS.
whats a more meaningful and sincere representation of a culture: letting the people of said culture speak for themselves through their art or reducing the brightness in the color slider of a bunch of characters?
So a color in a pixel character is more important than the music of said cultures be heard and not lost in enclosure and ppl wonder why older culture traditions are lost to time its because they are not shared to be preserved

Sorry it's cut weirdly on the side; OBS zoomed it in and I didn't realize it until AFTER the stream.
BTW when you accept the ToS before entering into the game it has this is a work of fiction. It's always been there soo yeah lol.

30:41 maybe a teaser?, they called it a spoiler and ofcourse it seems he has cryp powers, but would that reaply be a spoiler?
