Adjusting Nev-R-Adjust Trailer Brakes BEFORE Towing your Trailer
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 мар 2024
- Here is a way to initially adjust your automatic-adjusting electric brakes without the trailer being hooked to the truck. The brakes will then be road-ready when you do hook to the trailer. This method also validates that the automatic mechanism is working correctly and so will automatically adjust your brakes as you drive. Otherwise the standard method is to tow the trailer and brake multiple times and 'hope' that the automatic adjusters are working correctly. The video includes how to make a remote switch to actuate the electric brakes without the trailer being hooked up to the truck. Note that this is not a monetary video. Just hope it is helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. The wiring diagram setup to simulate the brake controller and step by step process is very helpful!
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Wow man, well said and to the point. Excellent video.
I used a screwdriver and a flashlight to adjust my self adjusting drum brakes. I set each tire the same as I would manual adjusting brakes. You can do it by clicking the lever up or down. You wasted a lot of time to do something that should take a few minutes. It took me longer to raise the wheel than it did adjusting the brake.
Excellent content...
could you accomplish the same adjustment by jacking up the trailer and having someone depress the brake pedal on the tow vehicle?
I knew when i saw the hand carved jack stand i was in for a show..
They are drum brakes. Just manual adjust to a slight drag. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill. Your burning up the magnet by leaving it on for a per longed time.
How would you do that? My problem is keeping that adjustment "tang" out of the way while trying to adjust the adjuster wheel? Two screwdrivers? Thanks
