This is by far the best video on how to to this I've seen. Only one other person took the dash out the way you did. Also It was nice to see the more in depth visual of the supplemental heat and heater core replacement. Thank you so much for this guys.
I was surprised you guys answered me and you answered me pretty quick I have one more question looks like you're pushing the quick coupler heater hoses back onto the heater core can I avoid this that stop if you're cutting the hoses in the cab I also have the diesel pipe that you were talking about
@@light784brick9 not sure on what diesel pipe your referring to. I would honestly have to go back and look at what we did again. From what I remember we used the heater hose splice to avoid removing the entire hvac box.
No we didn’t because we don’t plan on that fluid staying in long at all due to the oil that was in the system. We figured we would flush it again, install the coolant filtration and then ad more clean antifreeze and the anti cavitation additive then. Good point though.
When you cut the heater core piping with the saws-all, do you worry about aluminum shaving getting into the coolant and clogging the oil cooler? I am thinking of a 6.0. Does the 6.4 have an oil cooler like a 6.0?
Hey my brother I just did the same thing on a Ford 350 but I done that vaporator core and I took the dash out and Iput it all back in and now the alarm system has me locked out do you know how to get around that how to fix it
I have an 08 f250 6.4L XLT RWD with the egr and dpf deleted with 140k miles. Been thinkin about selling it for around 15k here in Texas. Y’all could get more than that with only 100k miles onit
Chris Martin I spoke wrong in the first video it has 161k not 135k I was going on what the seller had told us at the time of that video. But 16k would be a good ball park it it a good running loaded truck
the compromise on the shroud with metal tape to save a few bucks ,i wouldnt do.how often are u going to get to do it correctly?and the heatercore ,,to save a few bucks i wouldnt do.im a man that likes origional equipment.because u can always make casjh to pay for parts but u will always know that u compromised on your final result..which makes me wonder,,where else in your life do u compromise.
@@lelandritchie9989 it’s what made the most sense. It worked and you couldn’t get the oem heater core. I don’t compromise. Watch the channel I’m slammed with work.
Damn!! That small critter that died and stink'n up my 2008 will just have to stay in that plenum/box. 😖🤢🤮. No wonder my local Ford shop estimates $2000 to do what you guys did.
Gotta disagree with ya on that, the 6.4s were a different story cause international built a throw away motor. That’s why for parted ways with international. Not a fan of the heater core in the 6.4s either but other than that it’s a great truck and I like Fords procuct but to each their own. Thanks for watching.

Guys, lots of work, great job! With this amount of work I’d surely exchange the core for the original one, big dollar or not.
Thank you guys this is a job I'm not looking forward to but you guys are the only ones that I've seen that has done a video thanks again
Thanks for watching and commenting. Check out our other Powerstroke videos.

Damn fellers, welcome to scarecrow garage! Ya gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes lol. I love it! Y'all got a new sub🤣✌
Did you add fords cavitation fluid to the antifreeze. That big water pump will eat through the back plate, and you will have water in the oil.

What a damn nightmare. It's ridiculous how hard it is to work on these trucks.
My Kung Fu1 yes very true however the way the dash is designed actually made some sense to me. It came out relatively easy.

@@pakkelly it’s similar but didn’t have the problems a 6.0 had
That's how I did mine I didn't pull the whole dash I just laid it forward and cut the old one put in new and used 3/4 I'd heater hose
Love this stuff!
Duramax Dan thanks bud, keep watching we have more coming.
Good job
Dang how'd you get to 186 sitting still. My 6.4 will no go above 170 in the summer time.
was that a racin toothpick ?

Did you disconnect batteries while you did this?
Where is the cabin air filter?
There is no cabin filter on 08-10 Superdutys
How much y’all gunna sell it for? @automedic garage
Chris Martin it’s being debated. Truck is super clean and will look near brand new once we replace the drivers seat bottom and the rear bumper
