My final for my college illustration studio is actually making a Zine! It has to be really polished (basically 12 polished illustrations and a back cover) but I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. It’s cool to see you enjoy yourself making one too.
I used this zine style to make a travel journal of my honeymoon as a thank you to everyone who gave us wedding presents.

This little story, especially breaking the fourth wall, is so reminiscent of Mo Willems! Very Elephant and Piggie, which we love in our family!

I love the zine! Also, bone folders are one of my favorite zine making tools, I’d suggest getting one to help with folding your zines!

I taught my kids how to make these little Zines ( I used to be a behavioral Health Nurse for kids ages 12-18.) They adored them! You did such a charming concept! I just wanna hug Prickle and Pear!

I love this! I made a couple small comics for 2of my college classes. I folded them similarly to this but cut the pages more so I could have more than 8! But I love this idea ❤ sooo cute

It was very fun watching you experiment with breaking the border, panel size, etc. (I draw comics myself^^). If you want inspiration on the topic I can very warmly recommend you the books by Scott McCloud!!! For me it opened up so many new ways to think about comics

Never seen zine folded like that in comic market i visit
For low budget zine most i know making photocopies print zines, or self binding mini zine
Not me thinking the smell was going to be coming from where you cut the page to fold the zine 😂
Or that Prickle would take up the whole page and the cut would have blood 💀
A bone folder will help get those folds crispy enough to line up the way you want 😆

i made one of these in my middle school art class, and i made it about an art blocked cat trying to give an art tutorial but couldnt get started and got super frustrated, so he just gave up and watched youtube.

I remember making my first zine and getting to participate in my city's zinefest when I was in highschool. It was such a cool experience for teen me. I go to the bigger zinefest as an adult and still feel awe at the skill & talent 🥹💛
PHEw. finaly not prixels. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy it but I do like her originals with other tools.
