I like your tutorials because I like how you try to sneak up some jokes in the video to make it less boring but also being begginer friendly which is good. You also helped me grow on art a lot
As someone who prefers drawing characters and always leaves backgrounds as an afterthought, I would really love for you to go more in depth to different styles and methods of drawing backgrounds. I have had 1, 2 and 3 point perspective drilled into me endlessly and would love to hear about you talk about any other methods when it comes to shading, colour and composition as that is where I find my illustrations falling apart most of the time, hence, why I don't tend to draw backgrounds unless needed.
I care A LOT about the backgrounds. My composition is absolutely rubbish and ADHD does not help the learning process. You're literally the only channel on RUclips with the right knowledge to delivery speed ratio. Can you please make more stuff on backgrounds, as you said. I genuinely appreciate all the work you put into editing your videos, and the knowledge you have to offer, thank you. My neurodiverse brain is eternally grateful for your existence, sir 🙌
I want to create my own visual novel, and I've been really relying on your tutorials to polish my art style. Genuinely as helpful as the art class I spent hundreds of dollars on in college. When I have disposable income again, you can bet I'll become a Patron.
Hello Marcel. I just wanted to say thank you very much for uploading your tutorials. Because of you, I've begun to pursue drawing more seriously so that I can actually churn out something aesthetically pleasing to people. I'm done posting my degeneracy on e621.
Absolutely amazing! This is super helpful as always!! Backgrounds were always complicated but using your tutorials, they are getting easier and easier with lots of practice! 🤗 Thank you as always for all your hard work! ❤

every video of his I watch, I draw more and more like a sir. How are u so good also, Great video quality + humor + art + teaching + simple and easy and yet so accurate.
The making a box for characters is a very good idea! I’m a recent subscriber, and I am already loving your tutorials. I would love to see a video about background composition, and thank you for making this video!
Discovered you last week and each tutorial makes me have an awakening/enlightenment like: "I was doing it like this for long.... If only I knew then" Thanks fr 👏
Honestly for me these are easily the most valuable tutorials you have. I'm not telling you to gear your channel towards my wants but yeah, I personally don't struggle with characters or linework but I do struggle with backgrounds and perspective. So please, more on this topic, if the videos do well, is very much welcome!
Great video! Clear and simple! I thank the algorithm for showing it to me! Also, as a Swiss, the joke about Europe was very funny! (For those wondering, Swiss are people from Switzerland)
This has become my go to channel for art related tips! Thank you for posting these easy to follow, entertaining, educational videos. Thy're always a great help!
i can actually say that your tutorials have made me better in drawing, when i watch them things just make sense. also when having watched one or ur videos i just cant resist to draw. we love u marcel!
I have a big project coming up where I’ll need to draw my own backgrounds and this video has definitely helped! Thanks so much! I now know how to draw backgrounds Like A Sir! ❤️
My friend, idk how i found you but, i need to say thank you so much, you're really helping me out, it's a little rare to found channel like these when the Brasil feed and recommedations dont help out, so well i now not only a fan but a whole air conditioner, and i am really glad and thankfull for you tutorials. :]

I would love to see more background tutorials! It's a very tricky subject, and I find that I have a hard time getting really meaty tips about it--especially for manga-based artists!
The comedy involved was genius and your hardwork is incredible! I would love more videos on this topic. i wanna recreate Yukines backstory since the anime didn't bother and I'll need this info considering i suck
@@phiweelamampembe8946 i understand it's really hard for me especially female characters . This is my fifth time attemptimg it after failing. But i just have to keep trying.
Could you make a tutorial on drawing trees? I've found myself struggling a lot with them and your tutorials have always helped me better than the other ones I've seen
Even though I (think) I understand backgrounds well enough, I would kill for a 10 minute simplified drawlikeasir explanation of background-drawing. Genuinely, your tutorials feel like Marco Bucci level stuff but they are simplified for the more casual artist.
tbh this is one of the most interesting topics to me. I always wonder how manga artists make backgrounds as to be honest this seems like the most time consuming thing when drawing, if possible I'd love if you could explain how to use backgrounds effectively in manga pages, like on some panels you have very simple backgrounds, on others it's complicated whilst another background could be entirely blank. How can you use the backgrounds as effectively and efficiently as possible? what's the difference between a simple and complicated background?
bro i was listening to this while drawing a background, right as i was drawing a character he said "use rectangles as place holders," lemme just tell ya, that saved my entire drawing
I strongly hope you do that follow up on landscape composition. Backgrounds and scenery are such an underrated and underappreciated part of art, yet it brings alive the world where the characters live.
Hi. I just wanted to thank you so much for uploading your tutorials. They helped me a lot to improve and push my work a lot further. I've seen a lot of different tutorials, but these helped me the most. So I'll definitely be happy for another one. I just wanted to ask how long does it take you to make one picture like this? Thank you.
Love love love this! After years of avoiding it I recently decided to dive into backgrounds and I can't thank you enough for making these videos. You break down complex information so well and put it all together in a nice neat package. Rather than getting intimidated when I watch your videos I become eager and excited to try what I've learned. Thank you again for doing what you do. ❤
this is a gold mine of information, i would love a video about composition if possible, i cant find anyone on yt to explain the golden ratio without going at it mathematically and doesnt explain how to incorporate it into a drawing
