Huh, I might be starting to learn something here 😁. As soon as I saw the Transparent Sealer I guessed the reason why. I’ll give all the credit for that learning to Chris and the channel.
Thankyou so much man... you made my day... i was stucked to paint my bike in candy red using silver base.... thankyou once again for great demonstration....❤❤❤
Love it! Interesting to see how fast the coverage is with the Sealers in a bigger gun. I have struggled with my LPH 80 in the past. I tend to need to strain in and reduce it to the point where I lose a bit to much of the body of the Sealer for it to cover like that.
With Createx paints, look to make sure you're LPH-80 has an E4 cap, not the E2; E4 has a much more-evenly distributed fan pattern whereas E2 is heavy in the middle. For more, please check out our spray-gun video, ruclips.net/video/r5gHK0iZQTw/видео.html. Thank you.
We use a catalyzed, (2k) urethane, solvent-based clear to top-coat candy2o and candy2o mixes. A gloss top-coat is necessary to bring out the candy2o's transparency and overall brilliance, as well as any metallic or pearl effect. Thank you.
I'm a little confused about the difference in the two cards you show. Is it that one card has a groundcoat of silver sealer, and one doesn't? Wondering why the white/black shows through on the first card shown and not on the one you are painting in this vid. Thank you for your vids!
This video shows how 6013 Silver Sealer works as a base metallic ground coat for candy2o. 6013 is a sealer, so it covered the Leneta Opacity Spray-out card. Thank you.
Is there a difference between the candy 2o and the auto- air candy 2o cuz seen a lot of videos with different bottles so wanted to make sure before I buy the full set
All "candy2o" are the same. Older versions of candy colors not called candy2o in the Auto Air Colors line are not the same, nor as well performing as candy2o. Thank you
Can you vary the ratio of silver sealer to vary the number of specular highlights for the metallic? For example, drop the silver sealer to .5 and bring up the transparent to 1.5?
Createx paints are mixable in most any ratio, so technically the answer is yes. Always test first anytime trying a new material or mix ratio. Thank you.
Yes, a nitrocellulose lacquer can be applied over Createx paints including candy2o. Createx has long been used for guitar refinishing. Please make a test panel first, and contact us for any trouble shooting if needed. Mix 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear with the candy2o, not 6000 (used in this video as an experiment and never again). For more about mixing candy2o, please see our new video, ruclips.net/video/Rz8xjK-5Ebw/видео.html. Thanks.
candy apple red is red candy such as candy20 Blood Red applied over a gold base such as Wicked Metallic Gold. metallic red is a red hue metallic color, (pigment-based color), the closest which Createx makes is Wicked W303 Pearl Red. Thank you.
A gold base will create a much different looking candy compared to a silver base. This is demonstrated in our candy2o color chart video, ruclips.net/video/svPIxC1mUHE/видео.html. Thank you.
Its not a technique we recommend; we'd prefer to paint on the sticker / representation of the sticker, but its been done. Applying 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear or 6000 AutoBorne Transparent Sealer may work best applied over the sticker as an adhesion coating before paint. Thank you.
Could you use this mix for spraying an RC Lexan car body ? I have my doubts about the sealer since a lexan car body can flex and the 6000 sealer says in the discription that it is meant for spraying on hard surfaces ?
AutoBorne Sealer, including 6000 AutoBorne Transparent Sealer works excellent for adhesion to polycarbonate. For best results, apply 6000 first, or 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear, followed by candy-pearl mix. Note, the candy2o mix in this video was different as normally we use 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear for the candy2o pearlized color mixes; we recommend 4050 as the candy2o carrier for application of the color to polycarbonate. Thank you.
Yes, and quite frankly 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear should be used as the candy2o carrier for all applications. Using 6000 here was a bit of an experiment; sometimes we're sneaking in a bit of R&D as we do these videos. 6000 works for the candy2o carrier, but 4050 is still best. Thank you.

Amazing demonstration. I love the vibrant green candy.

Thank you.
Thanks guys
De Nada, thanks for watching!
Nice
Thank you!
Do you apply any clear coat or gloss after these steps of is the gloss finish not necessary

I NOTICED YOU SPRAY LONGER ON THE BLACK AREA THAN THE WHITE AREA O THE CARD.
Yes, coverage over black often requires more material than over white. Thanks for watching.

@@CreatexColors awesome! Thanks for the heads up! I just purchased the paint used in your video!!!
bonjour, is it possible to do this on a lexan car body at 1/10? merci
Yes, ruclips.net/video/MIMlX78BdX4/видео.html. Thank you.
Can you Please tell me, What is the difference between candy apple red and metallic red colour ?

I am a newb who is wondering, would gold have the same effect?
A gold base will create a much different looking candy compared to a silver base. This is demonstrated in our candy2o color chart video, ruclips.net/video/svPIxC1mUHE/видео.html. Thank you.
Qwesome
Hello could you please advise the color code to have this color result thanks
The color is 4650 candy2o Blood Red, which can be applied over 6013 Silver Sealer. Thank you.
Can you paint a vinyl sticker under a candy paint

What clear coat would you recommend on a motorcycle over this paint?
PPG EC550. Thank you.

@@CreatexColors thanks a lot. Will include it in my next order and give it a try 😀

V use full 💯
thanks
Could I use a 2k/2 part urethane clear, say H.O.C., as a finishing clear coat over the candy20?
Sorry put the wrong product initials, it's H.O.K. 2k/2 part clear.
Yes, HoK clears work well as a top-coat for candy2o and other Createx paints. Thank you.
Awesome, got a quart leftover.
i understand you but use a old skool gun like a binks model 7 that us low dollar people have
The best way to dial in atomization and technique with your particular spray-gun and set-up in with a few test panels. Thank you.
what is the purpose of the 6000?
Its used as the candy2o carrier / medium; candy2o are concentrate dyes. Thank you.
@@CreatexColors Could you use UVLS 4050 in place of the transparent sealer for this application?

Metallic or Glitter? 🤣
