Hi scuttle I plugged the guitar into Ampkit using JAMUP only. I output the Ampkit into a pair of Mackie HR824 powered monitors. Then I recorded the video and audio with a Cannon HFM32 digital camcorder by locating the monitor close enough to the camcorder to sound good(trial and error). I saved the video into iMovie and did the editing. There was no guitar amp for any of the audio-- just the JAMUP going out to the monitors. Cool and amazing to hear!

I still use my old iPhone for effects but when I try to export it creates a m4a file with twice the speed cannot figure out how to get it right

Those arrows set the number of measures in the loop before you start recording. Hope that helps

Can you use just the effects without the amp models? I just want some ios effects that I can go through into a physical amp

Yup But the package prices are pretty good. You don't have to buy anything extra to use it ... after awhile you might want some new sounds

The Plug has two connectors: one for guitar in and one for headphone/amp out. So if you just want to play, you plug your guitar into the Plug, and the output of the Plug into you amp, and you're set.

Are you using the jamup plug or the Irig plug? which one is better and why? :)

The iRig is considered to be the worst of them all. It has a crossover issue which is horrible.
The Ampkit is great and the Line 6 is as good. There are some other devices but in my opinion the Line 6 is the best - considering the free (amazing) app you can use with it.

will somebody PLEASE tell me what those up/down arrows on the sampler do? i cant find an answer anywhere. they act as buttons but dont seem to have a real function. im HOPING they let you start playback at some point further into the track than "progress: 1" because its a real pain to have to sit through a 3 minute song until a part you want to dub over comes up, and if you mess up you have to wait another 3 minutes to try again.

Hi Ken Yes all the sounds are from the Jamup. You can try to re-create the preset with the text on screen. See my comment below where I explain my signal path
