That was a really informative video. It was a good video for the product as well as how someone might go about sculpting their tone - I must say though I liked the Marshall tone at the end :)
hey dave..great stuff...when i get an ipad i will check it out..:( man...a question non related with the video: do u see some fretboard wear on ur Tele with the time? im wondering if the lackquer wears quite quick or not... cheers
so in addition to saving your amp sound models you can then upload/share them and browse other people's tone uploads. you can also rate them. so if you like a tone save it and upload it, it might get popular! also there are tons of tones out there you can download instantly. i really love this feature. then there's the whole sample thing. im on grave yard using just regular computer speakers.
Where is the sound Coming out of? Do you have it hooked up to anything? I have Programs such as Guitar rig Coming out of My Speakers But it doesnt sound as good as it would As if it were coming out of my Amp, To much bass etc.. Any tips on Output Would be nice
Noise is desirable for some. There are a lot of guitarists out there that like the sound of a guitar plugged into an amp, no effects, no gates, just amp. Having the ability to reduce noise how each player see's fit is a much better choice than having a predetermined set of noise reduction. Every player is different.
Thanks David, great review. If I were to connect directly to PC and DAW, would I still need an audio interface, or does this act as one... (to decrease latency).
Associating "fusion" with a type of sound is a misnomer. It's a genre of music that combines two or more styles which in turn allows for various timbres to be created by the artist. To say fusion has a particular sound is like saying that which is alternative is a style of music. That being said, thanks David for your effort & service -- no offense my friend.
Is there a big difference between using the irig hd, the Peavey Link HD, or the Iriffport? I am planning on buying one of the three to use with Jamup Pro. Do you have a preference?
What I don't understand with the designers of these types of apps is that they fail to understand that noise is undesirable and noise gates are used in the real world to avoid noise. So, if they have a chance to create an app without noise, is it really useful to deliberately put in noise and a noise gate just to say you are trying to mimic reality? Just make the app without noise in the first place and don't import the worst of reality.
please fucking help me i dont know at all what im doing im running the jamup app through my spinder 4 line 6 75 and the sound im getting is nothing like what i hear on youtube i tried to find live footage of people using the app but all of them fucking having their song dubbed over the video while they play and its really pissing me off please someone tell me whats wrong im using misha mansoors patch that i downloaded and i bought all the shit he used in it and its making a terrible tone i also tried fucking with it myself to make my own tone but it just sounds horrible no matter what i do
Dylan Robertson Try removing the cab emulation from the signal chain. I couldn't find the video, but I've stumbled upon one in which the guy talked about it and demonstrated a specific way of doing for live setup with P.A.s or guitar power amps+cabs. If possible, you could try not plugging the Jamup output sound into the instrument input on your amp, but straight into the power amp. Hope it works out for you.
Dylan Robertson I'm having the same exact issue man, but im just using it with my headphones so far, some sony's, not the best, but still, its frustrating! sounds nothing like all these vids im seeing on youtube, real thin and overly digital sound. Its yet to be seen but maybe it will sound better through and interface and monitors.

Wow, I am surprised with how good this sounds for an Ipad app. Great review, thanks.

Best gift you can give to a guitarist.
Thanks man. Gonna go purchase off the back of this.
Thank you
Why did you move the delay pedal in front of the reverb pedal? What changes in the sound when you do that?
