You have to have a physical to go to public school, when you play sports in college you need to have a physical too, Aside from that I'm sure any regular visit to a pediatrician, obstetrician or gynecologist would be accepted. Except it’s not the same thing. A physical exam is a medical procedure that ensures you are healthy. General whole body health. What this proposes is that anyone can say “I don’t believe you! Physical examinations are required for high school athletes. For males, a genital check is part and parcel of the hernia check. I presume that when females are getting their physical, the doctor checks out their lady parts, right?

If you're in sports or boy scouts you get that checked by your pediatrician. Also, if they didn't have to check that for a specific sport they can look at your birth certificate.
Let us make our choice, freely, but relies there are consequences, male use men's bathroom, women use women's, bathroom. Parents and guardians know if you're male or female. Come on let's get real. God made male and female, if gifted in sports do it, just remember CONSEQUENCES... etc.
The genital examination idea is wrong, but it is also wrong to have those born as biological males to compete in female categories in sports. In sports, there needs to be a third category for transgender folks to compete in. It’s not a question of discrimination; it’s a question of what is just.
Or we could measure the hormone levels in the athletes to make sure have the correct hormone levels, wait... WE ALREADY DO THAT

In 1952, Christine Jorgensen became the first person widely publicized as undergoing sex reassignment surgery. So the surgery was going on even before that, and just not widely known--to say nothing of people who didn't get surgery, but biological males who identified as women, as vice versa.
I know that happened even with the native Alaskans, back in the early days of the Aleuts: Some of their males felt more comfortable doing the women's work. They even dressed as women.
In short:
This isn't some new thing, which happened "only for the last 10-15 years." The person who coined the term "gender role" in 1955, mentioned above, John Money, also pioneered the concept of a distinction between biological sex and gender identity in 1955.

This was already happening. Although the part about check genitals that I know of. I believe there is only two athletes in the NCAA that were born men and play in female sports. One is a swimmer that won a championship but at a lower level. The other won is not that good and I forgot what sport they play. We also have girls on College wrestling teams. Many girls wresting in high schools sports against boys. They are getting tougher as they get more experience.
