I read an article recently that PETA has put considerable amount of pressure on their government through finance . You are correct about them being considered vermin . Sadly the residents have good reason for this because the animals will break into homes , destroy property , become aggressive etc .. I did my thesis on the French military's push through Cambodia . Its an age old story of humans encroaching on animals habitat . The jungles are still littered with land mines to this day . Especial around the lost city of Mahendraparvata . (Especially males) These babies are brought to this group by design. The VO's goal is to create a man made troop of pure pigtail monkeys. Most of the VO's are related by blood or marriage to the owners (or they ARE the owners) and they wish a pigtail troop of babies who are human friendly for videoing for money. the long tails that they bring are expendable for drama. There are a handfull of VO's who feed and care for these to keep them together and not running away. Noe the eldest of these is having offspring, and they stick together because they know each other.
I do love how the older kiddos instantly grabbed the new one and start loving on it and showing it a little compassion. It's pretty amazing that they just seem to know what's going on and that this little guy is scared and needs a group to be a part of.

These "abandoned baby monkeys" were taken from other troops of macaques. And taken to Sovana troop or team as Navy Dom has named this mixed group of macaque monkeys. For the purposes of video content for their RUclips channel. This is a staged monkey "reality" channel. I believe there hope is that the new baby monkey is rejected or injured as to "save it" by getting it some help from a local veterinarian for views. Thats what happened to Ronnie. IMO

Sovana and her team are so amazing with the new abandons. It's so unusual for monkeys, in the wild, to be welcoming and accepting, when new monkeys are attempting to become members of their troop (particularly females, since troops are matriarchal structures), but these monkeys are so great, and they just know exactly what to do, and how to act, in order to help to make the newbies feel welcome and comfortable. It's sad though, on the other hand, that they're so used to new monkeys being dumped off to their troop, so often!😑

These "abandoned baby monkeys" were taken from other troops of macaques. And taken to Sovana troop or team as Navy Dom has named this mixed group of macaque monkeys. For the purposes of video content for their RUclips channel. This is a staged monkey "reality" channel. I believe there hope is that the new baby monkey is rejected or injured as to "save it" by getting it some help from a local veterinarian for views. Thats what happened to Ronnie. IMO

Sovana and her team are so amazing with the new abandons. It's so unusual for monkeys, in the wild, to be welcoming and accepting, when new monkeys are attempting to become members of their troop (particularly females, since troops are matriarchal structures), but these monkeys are so great, and they just know exactly what to do, and how to act, in order to help to make the newbies feel welcome and comfortable. It's sad though, on the other hand, that they're so used to new monkeys being dumped off to their troop, so often!😑

Every little dumped rat just dreams of getting tail dragged all over, getting stepped on, having its face bitten repeatedly, getting humped and having other rats junk shoved right in its face, don’t they? They’re not doing anything to make anything feel “welcome and comfortable”, they’re establishing their dominance and superiority, the rat feels so welcome and comfortable that it attempts to run back to its handler every chance it gets and wears a fear grimace plastered to its face more or less for the entirety of the video, some comfort indeed. This isn’t a “troop” btw, it’s just a bunch of ex pets that all got dumped, they’re all hanging out in the same area because that’s where people come to record and continue making money off them and they bring food and feed them. A troop is self sufficient, these would all starve to death if people didn’t feed them.

As caring and nurturing as they were towards the baby monkey in question, alas, they were unable to source suitable clothing, or adequate attire that any reputable jungle expedition requires. A visit to "Gentleman's Outfitters" owned by a consortium of savvy squirrels would have been the answer, although it is currently closed for the purpose of refurbishment.
