Arrma overall just makes significantly better driving dynamics across the board, in every lineup. If a truck cant track straight at high speeds, then it is not worth $570, I am sorry. Now I do like the Maxx, dont get me wrong. Its the rc that I dont care if it gets banged up. My 6s Arrmas are my favorite vechiles so I very much mind when they get scratched up despite them being made for that. The thing is, they can handle speed runs, both on and offroad without flipping. Not one Traxxas that Ive owned can make that claim. They all handle horribly. The Maxx is my favorite Traxxas so in short, I am not a fan of their vechiles. The only vechile that offers any semblance of throttle control within the Traxxas lineup is the Maxx. The others have none. Each come way overgeared out of the box which leads to no low speed control, tons of surging and cogging which annoys me. If you drop the gearing or the battery size on something like a Sledge, as a means to obtain more throttle control, you lose significant amounts of top end speed. Even when overgeared, they are not as fast as Arrma 6s vechiles let alone after monkeying with the gearing. All in all, Traxxas has been at this game signifantly longer than Arrma yet they have not figured out these basic things. We just can't give them a victory in a video such as this with all of these defects. Arrma takes the cake. We will keep the Maxx but it is slowly but surely becoming irrelevant with new model vechiles coming available which offer signifantly more for much less bread.

You made a lot of good points here, the better value and over all performance does go to the Outcast, Traxxas has made the OG Maxx obsolete with the release of the V2 and I wouldn’t be surprised if it disappears off the market soon, it’s still overpriced as we speak and to even bring it up to the same level as the Outcast you would need to spend more money for the wide kit and new tires and even then the Outcast is wider! I really like the Maxx but the Outcast definitely takes it here! Good video bro🤙

Yeah but I think the v1 maxx might be discontinued already but with the wide maxx kit its close enough to the v2 but in my opinion the outcast has the better handling and value while the maxx has durability and parts support on its side it’s really what u prefer but for me the outcast takes it what do u think of the new xrt you getting one ?

@@Joercgarage I’m not surprised, even the v2 is over priced imo, everyone has been asking me that! Lol I’m not sure man, they want a g for that truck, I might get one though lol, I still haven’t ran the Sledge that much maybe two or three times, I can’t keep up, looks like Traxxas is trying to stick it to Arrma, lol, Arrma does need to come out with a new kit though, they have three different versions of the Outcast and the Kraton, it’s time for something new

@@rcreviews9894 traxxas has been on fire but u can tell the arrma brand was gaining a little momentum in the market with the kraton 6s the 8s kraton the typhon the felony traxxas was looking at the market and said we need something to compete then the sledge was released and now the xtr competition is good for us I have a feeling the 8s kraton or outcast is getting revised let see what arrma releases down the line

@@Joercgarage I give it to you on the Typhon line, that buggy is unbeatable, even to this day nothing can touch it, not even my beloved bandit vxl, lol, street cars I’m not too interested in to be honest and hopefully we can get a discussion started here in the comments with some of your other subs as well cause I wanna know what people think about this, you included, these are my beefs with both Traxxas and Arrma, ok Traxxas is innovative yes, every now and then they drop a beast! But they go crazy when it comes down to pricing, not to mention, a lack of upgrades out of the box for that price! Arrma on the other hand is more affordable and most kits come stock with decent upgrades out of the box, take this video for example, but they keep on recycling the same platform, they need a totally new platform, Im mainly talking about the Monster trucks, so Im just wondering, do I have a point here, or am I trippin?

The V2 was discontinued way before the video was made, the V2 is a far superior RC than the v1, it’s more stable, easier to drive, straight out of the box the Maxx is 10 times more durable than the outcast, the $100 difference will be made up in repair parts in a year, the maxx is a whole lot cheaper to modify also.
The Maxx and Xmaxx are made to slap when landing, to stop it just add thicker shock oil and add stiffer springs, the outcast is more nimble and a tad faster, but the maxx flows over mounds while the outcast bounces around, sorry to disagree with the author but I have both and I prefer the maxx.

That cool that your opinion to me the outcast is a way better drive and has better value the maxx is more durable and has better parts support u can’t go wrong with any of the 2

Both are now overshadowed by the new Redcat Valkyrie which is about 10 miles per hour faster, handles much better than the Maxx v2 which I also own and has a bec of up to 7.4 volts. At a minimum just as durable if not more so than both and is $270 less than the Maxx despite packing better electronics and about $150 less than the Arrma. The nerve Traxxas has charging $570 for ararguably the worst handling truck, second only to the Maxx/Slash, is beyond my realm of comorehension. And I bought it nonetheless. It has been durable but given how terribly it handles, it better be durable.
