My family can empathize with this reality.....My mom(79) has been dealing disc degeneration for the the last 5-6yrs. Two neck sugeries, which lost 95% of her range of motion. Now it's happening in her lower back. She can't handle another surgery at this point....pain killers don't really work, next option is a spinal steroid injection. Hoping Maureen doesn't ever have to deal with this 🙏💙

After my research over 25 years ago I decided to not follow what surgeons wanted as post surgery had minor success.
I was on high meds for 20 years until I stopped all of them five years ago. The pain and limitations are about the same, but my mind is more clear; I would rather keep that operational. It is an acquired way of being.
That gopher story made me smile! Thanks for sharing that! Fingers crossed for the wife’s shoulder!!
I'm not English-speaking but I tried a lot of "goofer", "goopher" words. Adding "animal", I eventually found it! ❤

Hi Lee!! Boy I sure hope Maureen doesn't need shoulder surgery. Was hoping her shoulder would heal on its own without that just like mine did because of how it broke. You both have endured so much lately especially after the back injury and adding another surgery would be so unfortunate! I'll keep fingers crossed that won't be necessary. He played on… um… well everything!” Decades later, here I am, we’re both kind of old now, and I’m listening to your update. And I’m thinking, “I had an accident and had shoulder surgery too.” The recovery wasn’t fun, but I healed up and my shoulder is as good as new. And your wife will make it through this too! You’ve been an inspiration and I hope we can all be an inspiration to you too. Sending love. 🤗

On the good note… having worked with some really amazing shoulder guys…..again the tech…incredible….the basics are the same…..so much is done these days with a camera,and a few small cannulas…..depending on the issues….plates and screws….fiber wire…..great outcomes…..😅….. wishing Maureen a most benevolent outcome…..really thinking that it will reduce the healing time….😊

Savannah is such a beautiful city; especially the older part. The Spanish Moss hanging down and all ~ even at the traffic islands. Civil War & Base Ball history buffs both score there with Fort Pulaski on Cockspur Island. In addition to its battle history, that fort is also where the very first Base Ball game was recorded. They have/had a wall-size photo of games underway in the infield of the fort from 1862 (I believe). Pretty neat. Love Savannah. Sending out positive vibes to you, Maureen, "the (two) boys", and the little stinker. ❤

The gopher story was great! I battle moles here in TN and, in addition to the damage to the yard, I’ve had a few clinging to the poolside ladder after they fell in the deep end! All my best to you and Maureen for health and healing!

Possums are the issue in my neighbourhood. We are not allowed to capture and take them away because they are territorial and unlike to survive. They get into our ceiling and under the floorboards and make a hell of a mess. The best solution I've found so far is to block all entries and get a one way exit installed.
