I am amazed by this video, I wouldn't even be walking on the beach under these conditions but these guys were catching fish.
I like!
I don't know the glue type, it is hard but flexible like epoxy. It is too flexible to be superglue.
I think the oil that is left on the line after manufacture must be cleaned off with a solvent to get bonding with nylon. It's probably a well guarded trade secret as only one company produces this line.
It is the best pre-stoppered line I have ever used and is incredibly hard wearing
No the one at 8.50 is glued in place. It is a piece of pre-stoppered commercial fishing line available in 1000 meter hanks in New Zealand
All of these videos are very good. Question about the stopper knots shown, pre-knotted on line, 08:50,. are these the same knot shown at 05:30 ?, but with differant application?
There is another knot shown elsewhere in these vids, but haven't relocated this time through.
regards,
That Kahawai is massive. It kinda look like a kingi ,can't really tell unless i can see the side of it
thank you, 'glue' brings another question, would you know the glue brand and maybe a part number for the glue, I've never found a glue for nylon type materials, even after years of looking for it for a number of projects.
thankyou very much,
I'll be looking for it more,
on the video it sure looked like there is a mastic/glue on the knot, sorry, should have asked first,
my complements on your internet pages and all of the information you have included. thank you,
Apreciate that very much, should I find one that may work, I'll let you know. in our area the use of kite fishing is very limited because of almost constant on shore winds. So far I believe the use of kites may be disallowed on the Texas coast. I'll have to request a ruling or allowance on kite fishing.
thank you,
