This is why I play with the SNB mod! You can adjust the property tax percentage. It's also a really cool mod to have because you can have separate checking accounts and savings accounts as well as transfer money to and from other sims.
James crackw me up bwcause he goes crazy with one small detail (the kitchen) and then is flabbergasted on where his budget went. 😂

I wish James got a habit of putting even the crappiest small rugs in the budget house bedrooms, they fill up the space and make the room look complete even if there's nothing actually in it.

Love this format of building for families that need a better space. I’d like to see what their skills/likes are and apply that to the build too though.
I really like these renovations of homes for world NPCs. The renovation for Vlad's house (and his 16 children) was awesome, too, and I would love to see you tackle more of these houses. :)
This family was made by a member, and James shoved them into a house just to give them somewhere to live, not caring at the moment that they didn't fit, 😂

Would love to see when you do renovations like this - if the budget is really low or you run out of money etc - if you would play the family for like a week to earn more money for the renovation rather than sticking to a small budget. Just think that would be really fun and you’d get to know the family more and what they would like in their house
This series is a mix of Dream Home Decorator and Build Challenges. You could do the whole Sims world through this series. Heck yes!
Lilsimsie found out that if you delete the stairs underneath, you will get your money back. That way you can use the space underneath for bookcases, plants, and maybe a Roomba. They are going to need one.
Yeah. You get money for the walls you sell. You have to playtest whatever you place because some usable items your sim can't reach and other items will block the stairs.

I really like the outside and the floor plan works well ! Sure... the decor can use some tweaking but I'd download this off the gallery and play in it
You could've actually downsized the upper floor by letting the boys share a room and the girls share a room with the use of bunk beds or the single beds. It would've made it a 3-4 bedroom house, instead of 5 with maybe an office space or playroom. Then you could've made space for 2 additional bathrooms, also so that the kids could share and then create an on suite for the mom. You'd also have a lot more money to work with to furnish things. Bigger isn't always better. On a different note, I can't seem to access the link to rate the Sims 4 packs. Is there an alternate link available by any chance?

I like the idea of renovating existing homes that came with the packs. It looks like fun.
If you close off that one sq tile and open it up to the hallway, you could have a hall closet. Or put a stacked washer/drier there.
kinda wish the house would match the family a little more. the description said boho sims. look at the kids traits for the toys etc

This type of buildings evolved in a pretty dense environment of medieval castles where space was quite limited and it is awkward to see them roaming free along the streets. In the middle of spacious lawns but still so tight

Sometimes I watch a let's play if I need a nap and rewatch it when I'm not tired. But most of the time I watch to chill and I love James's vids for their entertainment value!

This is one of my favorite homes to play in. Great fixes! You’ve given me some excellent ideas. The closest in the kitchen never made sense. Maybe they were thinking “Harry Potter” 😂

I’ve also been having my entire stair railing disappear, even when there aren’t any walls or fencing by the stairs. I think I’ll have to repair the game, but that could take a loooong time, so I’ve been procrastinating.

I have started doing this in my game! I let neighborhood stories go crazy while I play my family, then eventually go through and find the family of 8 living in a studio and make it work for them, or the lady with a horse in an apartment and move her to a farm 🤷🏻♀️ fun little challenge

James, these kind renovation would be funnier if you made another save and fix the mess made by neighborhood stories don't you think? And if i may, i think you could play the new save for 1 year (spring to spring again and so on) without changing the NS settings then fix the messiest or any family you like
Finally the sofa, TV and coffee table are not like on opposite sides of the room. See, coffee tables serve a purpose and should be closer to the sofa.

It would be cool if for the next survey you could add another option if you don't own the pack which is 'not interested in this pack' and 'want to buy' or something I would be interested to see which are the packs no one cares for owning (other than my first pet stuff)

I would have shrunk the house some to save money and furnish it a little more. This came out good though.
Yes, I like these kinds of videos, especially what you did to Vlad's house. On that note, the only thing I would have done differently was to use fewer corbels and use the wallpaper with the wood and brick in it, (still in the Tudor style, the one you originally used, but with the wood in a darker color, and then place one corbel on every one of the dark wood 'columns' on the wallpaper. Or you could have upsized the corbels.

im sure you new this at some point but you can size down the large pet beds and the big dogs can still use them!
